The Sims Mobile is back with the Backyard Barbecue event with a small twist! This time around they’re throwing in a few more items to a similar collection that they’ve released last year along with a new limited time quest which will let you unlock new items and greenery for your garden!
Let’s begin with the breakdown of the event:
Backyard Barbecue Event
The Backyard Barbecue Event will last for 7 days – starting April 4th, 2019. You’ll be able to access it using the special lemonade glass icon on the top right corner. From the event interace you’ll be able to keep track of your Lemon Slices (tokens for this event), events that’ll help you earn lemon slices and two item chests: the Barbecue Chest that can be purchased using SimCash and Gourmet Barbecue Chests that can be obtained via SimCash.
Here’s an overview of these two chests:
Both chests bring the same items to the table – except for the fact that purchasing Gourmet Barbecue Chests will give you higher chances of obtaining rare items.

Backyard Barbecue Growing Gardens Quest
The Backyard Barbecue Quest lasts for 7 days during which you’ll be able to obtain new garden items and be rewarded with tokens. Here are all the steps you’ll need to take in order to complete the quest:
- Part 1: Earn 25 Simoleons.
- Part 2: Complete “Dream of cozy flower beds” at a bed.
- Part 3: Complete “Think of floral accessories” at a mirror or vanity.
- Part 4: “Ask about flowery language” with another Sim.
- Part 5: Complete an event.
- Part 6: Change your appearance.
- Part 7: Complete the “Experiment with barbecue recipes” event.
- Part 8: Open a Barbecue Chest.
- Part 9: Give Stickers to 5 Sims.
- Part 10: Complete the “Research barbecue flavors” event.
- Part 11: Complete any event.
- Part 12: Earn 650 Simoleons.
- Part 13: Complete any 5 events.
- Part 14: Complete the “Sample barbecue drink specials” event.
- Part 15: Complete all LlamaZoom tasks and collect rewards.
- Part 16: Complete the “Experiment with barbecue recipes” event.
- Part 17: Collect 1200 Lemon Slices!
- Part 18: Complete all LlamaZoom tasks and collect rewards.
- Part 19: Complete the “Research barbecue flavors” event.
- Part 20: Collect 1200 Lemon Slices!
- Part 21: Complete all LlamaZoom tasks and collect rewards.
- Part 22: Complete the “Sample barbecue drink specials” event.
- Part 23: Earn 650 Simoleons.
- Part 24: Complete all LlamaZoom tasks and collect rewards.
- Part 25: Collect 1200 Lemon Slices!
- Part 26: Complete 3 Long Events in any Career, Relationship, or Hobby.
