A few tutorials, including the one by simply-victoriax and Tamlo31 have been making rounds in the simming community lately teaching folks on how to create duplicates of worlds in The Sims 4. Although the tutorials are very handy, they require a lot of work, tools and effort to make this work.
Basically, with this tutorial you’re able to create an exact duplicate of the world that you’ve chosen, but edit it by your liking and have it inhabited by different Sims and lots that you decide to place down. With this you’re able to literally have as many Sims and lots as you possibly could image (or as much as your PC and The Sims 4’s engine can allow).
Now, Zerbu has come up with a unique mod that can easily duplicate a world of your liking:
With the mod installed, open the cheat console while in the world you want to copy (either in Build Mode or Live Mode), enter worlds.copy, type the name of the new world, click OK, then save*, return to the main menu and reload. That’s it, you now have a new world in your game!
The mod can easily be installed by extracting the zipped content to Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods folder.
NOTE: Considering that this is an experimental mod after all, make sure you backup your save game entirely before playing with this mod to ensure all your saves and progress don’t get corrupted!

So you can have as many worlds as you want you just have different saves. I have four different saves and like 1000 Sims it’s not hard. I don’t need a mod for that.

You can have multiple additional worlds within one save instead of multiple saves is what I think the mod would do. This would really benefit builders and legacy simmers especially using the TOOL mod. Anyone using it would need to do a backup save just in case as it’s experimental and it’s unknown how or when it will eventually break as new official worlds come.

Are you able to name them custom? I thought I was a mod for custom naming a while back.

Just be careful with that, having over 200 sims in the game (not homeless ones) can cause long loadings, lag, crashes and other instabilities.

Some of us have modern rigs that can handle it just fine.

Es que no me deja clonar nada, debo poner algo mal. Abro una partida, entro en Newcrest, Pongo: worlds.copy ocio, y le doy a intro y luego guardo, salgo al menu principal y vuelvo a entrar y nada, no funciona. Hay que poner algo mas? Gracias

Yeah, I just installed it and it doesn’t work. Keeps telling me that it is unable to execute command T-T

Zerbu is a great modder, but even the greats have bad ideas and this is one of them. With the possibility of it breaking your game all together or not working which seems to be the case, you can bet with any new update and patch all those saved worlds sims will be lost. A pointless lag causing mod that’ll only encourage gamer rage.
i tried to use the cheat code on both live mode and build mode but didn’t work. I typed it exactly as instructed. HELP!!!

Your so-called worlds.copy doesn’t work I repeat it does not work stop going around telling people that they can do this junk when I get nothing but error messages on it unable to execute
First of all thank you for putting this together! Doing it by hand is tedious and more error prone. Though the version you are sharing is throwing errors I knew it couldn’t be too difficult to find and fix and I have. Since I’ve fixed this for use in my game, I would ask do you want to know what the issue/resolution is so that you may update it? If not, do you mind if I share my fix with the community.
How can you delete the duplicated city?
Anyone have found a solution to delete the copied world? I know, I forgot to create a save file. Many months ago, I’ve tweeted to Zerbu, and the only answer I’ve got was “It’s complicated!”, tried to ask if he could help me, and got no answer. So, would like to know, if after all these months is there a way to delete the copied world? Thanks
