Expect a new Sims 4 Patch dropping next week!
The Sims Team has just published a new Sims 4 Laundry List. Highlighting all the Bugs and Glitches that they plan to resolve in the upcoming Sims 4 Patch.
In case you don’t know what a Laundry List is – it’s a frequent scheduled update from EA and Maxis to let the players know about which issues they’ve worked on to be resolved in a few days before the update comes out.
Here’s what you should expect to be resolved in your game very soon:

Welcome to this month’s Laundry List, where we share a list of the top community concerns we’re currently investigating and hope to resolve in an upcoming patch.
This is only a list of topics from Answers HQ with upcoming fixes; there are more topics reported by players that are not listed and are still being worked on. This list is based on reports by players on Answers HQ and helps us continue our work on improving the user experience on a regular basis.
Please note that some topics can be tricky and may require an extended investigation on our end, so even though we are actively reviewing, it’s not a guarantee that we’ll have an immediate fix in the upcoming patch.
Here’s the list of the community concerns we’re investigating and aiming to resolve in the next patch:
- [Save Specific] Plants emit green clouds when alive as if they were dead.
- The Dew Collector doesn’t collect water and causes an exception.
- Feed and Message timestamps don’t get updated on Social Bunny.
- Power on a Sim’s lot is shut off even if bills are paid.
- Sims still have a fury glow even after taking the ‘Wolf-B-Gone’ drink.
- Wanting to level up the Nectar Making skill, even when that skill is already maxed out.
- The max rent value is lowered after evicting during a grace period in 11C Sungai Point.
- When Spellcasters are abducted by aliens, they give birth to a human baby.
- Horse Riding does not help Sims lose weight.
- Residential Rental household funds stay the same when transferring money.
- Blank CAS (Name/Last Name) for all languages except English.
- Only one sim cooks during the group cooking.

When is the new Sims 4 Update?
Every time a Sims 4 Laundry List gets posted, a Sims 4 Patch drops in 7 days. If all goes according to plan and previous release patterns, this one should be no different.
You should expect the new Sims 4 Update to drop on April 16th, 2024 across Desktop and Consoles unless otherwise noted. That leaves time for the next Sims 4 Kits to be announced either later this week, or early next.
