A new free The Sims 4 patch is now available across PC, Mac, Xbox, and PlayStation supported platforms. It includes 6 new CAS assets, 5 new Starter Sims, and the return of stylized looks to the base game. Let's take a look!

New Free CAS Items
The Sims Team has just released a brand new The Sims 4 patch update with 6 new free CAS items for the base game. This update is the first in a new series the team has been teasing, focusing on plus-size representation and body diversity for both feminine e masculine frames.
The six new CAS assets include a button-up shirt, jacket, and new pants for masculine frames, along with a short dress, blouse, and pants for feminine frames. Each of the clothing items contains 12 swatches and is categorized as either feminine or masculine, unlike in previous updates where the same item was added to both feminine and masculine frames, though the players can access the items for any frame if they remove the "Feminine" or "Masculine" tag.

The last and most anticipated item from the list: the new Afro Star hair! The hair has the usual swatches with no overlay in any of them, a welcome and nice addition to the afros that have been added to the base game.
New Starter Sims
This new update introduced new Starter Sims. Starter Sims are the pre-made characters that appear when you open CAS to start a new household. They have no names or personality added to them, serving as a starting point for players.
The addition of new Starter Sims is something The Sims Team has focused on in recent updates. These Sims are intended to bring more diversity and refresh the random Sims that are first shown to players when they start a new game or create a new household in CAS.

Styled Looks have returned for the Base Game
The return of Styled Looks is a welcome addition to the base game in this patch. This feature typically isn't updated via patches and usually gets new content only through DLC. Now, players can easily dress their Sims with the new items, and it also serves as a guide to how the team envisions the items being styled. Hopefully, they continue this trend in future updates.
