The Sims 4 Discover University adds two brand new After School Activities. These are only accessible once your Sim has enrolled at either Foxbury Institute or the University of Britechester.
As with any career, your Sim can join the Soccer Team career simply by sitting down at a laptop, computer, using their cell phone or by the career tab on the user interface. You will then be given the option to choose which of the two new careers you would like your Sim to join. You can also click on the Foxbury Arena and Join a Sports Team.
Trainee
- Schedule – Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri 6 pm-9 pm
- Advancement Tasks – Reach Level 2 Fitness Skill & Make 2 Friends with Teammates
Bench Warmer
- Schedule – Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat 6 pm-9 pm
- Advancement Tasks – Reach Level 4 Fitness Skill & Reach Level 3 Logic Skill
Starter
- Schedule – Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat 6 pm-9 pm
- Advancement Tasks – Reach Level 6 Fitness Skill, Reach Level 5 Logic Skill & Win a Soccer Game
- Bonus – Soccer Team Playbook (this can be found in your Sims inventory)
Playmaker
- Schedule – Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat 6 pm-9 pm
- Bonus – MVP! MVP! Soccer Trophy (this can be found in your Sims inventory)
Note: Each level of the Soccer Team Career has a daily task that is required to be completed every day to help your Sim advance to the next promotion. These tasks vary from day to day.
Future Opportunities
Being a part of the starting line up on the University Soccer Team also opens up the Professional Athlete branch of the Athlete Career for your Sims. This higher starting point means your Sims can jump straight into this profession. Your Sim will also receive a higher hourly rate, easier promotion opportunities and extra vacation days.
Soccer Games
Every Friday the Foxbury Arena will host the weekly Soccer game. These start at 6 pm and tickets are available to purchase at the start of the match from the arena. Tickets cost $45 and any Sim can attend.
Soccer Match Schedule
Foxbury Institute Arena – Friday at 6 pm
Ubrite Arena – Saturday at 6 pm
Sims that are due to play in the Soccer match will attend the match as if they were attending a shift at work and you can control how they perform by clicking on the two little Sims displayed on your Sim at the bottom of the user interface.
Every now and then you may receive a pop up to help influence an aspect of the match i.e – Whether a teammate should make a pass to your Sim or to another Sim.
Once the game is over you will be told how the match ended in the Notification Wall.
Whether you are Team Foxbury or Team UBrite head on down to the Arena and cheer for your favourite team!
How do you find teammates to become friends with?
Open the social menu and go to the work tab. Hover over their picture and it’ll say teammate.

Open your relationships tab on the bottom right. Hover over sims and it will tell you if they are teammates or not. If none show up, send your sim to a game first and see if the show up when your sim comes home. You’ll have to chat with them a lot until they are no longer acquaintances and have been bumped up to friend status.
Your simmer may find them themselves – that was the way my simmer founds his teamates
The easiest way is: I formed a club and selected *Soccer* as the *Career* under *Requirement*. It showed who was on the team. Activities included homework, working out, being friendly, and playing soccer.
While at practice, you could also choose “practice passing”, this will build relationships if your Sim is new and doesn’t know who’s on the team.
That’s how I did it.

how do you make friends with the soccer teammates?
Do you have to take the phone call and drop out and join the professional athlete career to get the signing bonus or can you get it just from finishing university while on the team?
Don’t know if I’m being stupid but how do I find the arena? It came up with a notification saying I could go watch a match but can’t find the actual arena…
You’re not. It’s kinda hidden away if you don’t know where to look. On the Foxbury side it’s near where the dorms are. If your Sim is walking out of the dorm building on your right, the stadium will be there to the right.
The little area where students can swim is behind it as well if that helps.
Go to a common building, ie the library at whatever university you are at, and once there, scroll out and hover over the surrounding buildings. You can click on different ones that way
Hi mine Not telling me if I’ve won a soccer match and I’m stuck because think they have but they game isn’t recognising it and nothing’s happening
how do you know who’s a teammate to try to befriend? i’ve talked to a few sims in uniforms after practice and some in the shirts that look like soccer jersey’s and it doesn’t seem to do anything
How do you Study or Discuss Soccer Strategies?
You’ll gain the ability after being promoted, I think it’s at lv2 Bench Warmer? To study: on a computer, go to Web and it should be under that menu (though it didn’t appear for me once or twice, think it’s a bit buggy). To discuss: click on a teammate sim and it’s under Friendly options.
I think it’s a big they haven’t fixed. Ever since I got the pack, my whole game has been bugging out. Losing homework, textbooks disappearing, my sim randomly resets and anything she had disappears. But studying on the computer doesn’t work because the option doesn’t show up, so just talk to the teammates.
You can discusa soccer strategies with your teammate but idk how to study it
how do i quit the team?
You can’t quit if you applied to the athlete scholarship.
You can quit but you lose the scholarship. Just go to career at a computer or phone and choose quit job
Hi, just got The uni pack and because I just wanted to get straight into it I enabled cheats and enrolled myself in Britechester Uni.
I want my sim to join a sports team so when I go the building which allows to me “Join a Sports Team” it only shows part time jobs? (Babysitter,Barista etc..)
How do I *navigate* the pack, how to I properly use it
It leads you to the job tab because being on a sports team is technically a ‘job’, meaning you can’t have a part-time job if you’re on the sports team. Just scroll down on the screen that pops up when you click “join sports team” and it should be there, otherwise click on the little symbols at the top of the pop-up and the sports teams should be somewhere in there.
Can my sim play soccer and join an organization at the same time?
Yes, my soccer player was also on the debate team. There were massive time conflicts, but the debate team was extremely flexible, and I could accomplish the goals at convenient times.

Deanna’s question was never answered. When I graduated, I was kicked off the team, but there was no Athlete trait alongside my degree in the traits section. Do I take it that in order to get the Athlete career benefits, you HAVE to accept the phone call to drop out of University BEFORE graduation?

being on the soccer team should count as a job, so they count as coworkers. that’s how i found them, under the co-worker relationship tab.

My lad was a freelancer computer programmer, until he scored A+ on all courses after the finals in university and was automatically reassigned as a trainee football player. Does this usually happen or is it just me?
