All the new objects and CAS assets coming in the Werewolves game pack!
Following the official reveal trailer yesterday, The Sims 4 Werewolves is now available for pre-order and Origin has the first previews of every new Build/Buy and CAS item coming with this add-on pack!
The Origin previews for new content are always exciting because it’s our first opportunity to see the full scope of what we’re getting in terms of objects and CAS pieces. Of course, game packs always come with new gameplay features and very often come with a new world (including Werewolves, which will come with a world called Moonwood Mill) so don’t think that these previews are all Werewolves will have to offer. It’s simply a look into the physical objects of the pack.
Remember! Origin previews always only show one swatch of each item. It is likely that most if not all of what you see here will have a variety of colour swatch options in the game. As always, Sims Community will be doing a detailed overview of everything with all swatches when the Werewolves game pack launches.
Create A Sim Items
From the CAS previews, it looks like we’ll be getting 8 new hairstyles with some of the new hairstyles also being available for children. We also spot two new tattoos, 3 new sets of humanoid nails plus one set of wolf-like nails, new face piercings, and a huge variety of scars for different parts of the body! It also appears that the werewolves can also have ear and face piercings while in their wolf form. Family players will also be happy to see new clothes for toddlers.
I’m personally a fan of the sneakers that are falling apart on the Sim’s feet. Very Rags to Riches. I’m sure a lot of players will enjoy telling Rags to Riches stories with these grungy items.
Build Mode Items
No, we didn’t forget about Build/Buy! These are all the objects coming with the Werewolves game pack from the Build/Buy catalogue. Keep in mind that Origin previews only show what’s in the main catalogue. We imagine that pro builders can no doubt look forward to even more items in the hidden debug catalogues, as is the case with just about every pack release.
Some interesting items of note shown in the previews are a small scale telescope, a grungy garage door, a new rustic-looking mailbox, a baby bassinet, and new toys and beds for toddlers and children, including a bunk bed. We also spot a new gnome, a new guitar, and a mysterious box-like object with a door that sort of reminds us of the elevators and walk-in closets that can be embedded inside the walls. No one’s quite sure what exactly this object is or what its function is but we’re excited to find out!

Running wild with everything we noticed in the reveal!
Werewolves are finally coming to The Sims 4! The Sims Team released the reveal trailer today showing off the new world, new CAS and Build/Buy assets, and of course, the werewolves. Like always, we’re here to dissect every last frame of the reveal trailer to break down everything we spotted that we found interesting!
There was lots to unpack in the trailer so let’s get right into it!
Industrial World
If we could describe the world of Moonwood Mill, we’d probably say it’s a cross between Evergreen Harbour and Granite Falls. If you take all the old dilapidated factories from Evergreen Harbour and plop them in a dense forest, you have Moonwood Mill. That’s not an insult! We totally dig the backwoods industrial vibe and it’s perfect for a pack of werewolves.
Secret Tree?
We spotted this tree in the background of one of the first shots which has moons and stars hanging from its branches and a mysterious opening in its trunk. Perhaps a method of quick travel in Moonwood Mill or does it lead to a secret location like the tree in Willow Creek? Only time will tell!
New Stuff for Kids
We have to give The Sims Team credit where credit is due; they’ve been putting a lot more effort into including younger life stages in recent packs. Snowy Escape, Cottage Living, and the Little Campers Kit all had activities for kids and toddlers to enjoy and it looks like they didn’t forget the little ones in the Werewolves pack, either, because we see a new baby bassinet, toddler bed, bunk bed and new toys for kids and toddlers. Also, did they size down that teddy bear or are we getting smaller versions of the stuffed animals? Hm.
New Telescope
One complaint about The Sims 4 that players have had for years is that everything is just… huge. For no reason. The observatory, the cupcake maker, the dollhouses, the stuffed animals. So many objects are just unnecessarily massive and don’t fit in most homes. Players have been asking for a small telescope for years and it looks like we’re finally getting our wish!
Peeling Wallpaper
In the same image as the telescope, we also spot this peeling wallpaper! This could be a decal or a new type of wall covering but either way, we love the peeling wallpaper shown here. It would go great in both werewolf and vampire lairs!
Scratch Mark Decals
Vampires came with some creepy wall decals to make homes look weathered and worn so it only makes sense that Werewolves would come with their own set of floor and wall decals. After all, werewolves are known for being destructive beasts so we’d honestly be perplexed if we couldn’t cover everything in scratch marks.
New Food
We see numerous shots of tables with plates of raw steak on them. We can only assume these are edible by werewolves. We can’t imagine they would be very tasty to non-werewolves, though. There’s also new pop cans with a wolf design on them. Maybe these drinks have special properties for werewolves?
New Exercise Equipment
We also spot new exercise equipment in the image above! It’s been a while since we got new variations of the exercise equipment and these new pieces of equipment are certainly unique. They’re falling apart, held together by tape, and covered in graffiti. They would make for an excellent abandoned gym… that’s been taken over by a werewolf pack.
Vampires vs. Werewolves
There’ve been some subtle and not-so-subtle hints that players who own both Vampires and Werewolves will have some added gameplay involving a feud between the two. From cryptic symbols translated into vampire disses, to a scratched up portrait of Vlad on the wall, to a vampire’s face spray painted onto a punching bag in the previous image… we hope there’s a lot of hot tea to spill there!
New Books
The description for the Werewolves pack talks about werewolf, vampire, and spellcaster lore as being part of the pack so perhaps these new books shown here are new skill books? We would love to have new skills to learn.
New Fish?
In the same image as the books, we see a new fish! Personally, I’m a collection enthusiast so anytime I see a new collection or new additions to existing collections, I get excited. This wolf-like fish definitely looks like a new fish that can be caught in the waters of Moonwood Mill! Hopefully this means there are more new collectibles or even a whole new collection coming with this game pack.
Moon Phases
Of course, how could we miss the new moon phases? While we’re going to miss the beautiful full moon every night in The Sims 4, the waning and waxing moons will be pretty to see, too. Maybe we’ll even have new moons for extra dark nights! That would be pretty cool.
New Nails
We love that The Sims Team has started releasing new nails in almost every pack and these ones look amazing! We also caught glimpses of more wolf-like claws on the werewolf forms so hopefully those are customisable nails in CAS, too. Although this does make us wonder… will werewolves be able to go to spa in their wolf forms to get a manicure for players who have Spa Day? That would be a hilarious sight to see!
New Bonfire
Bonfires have been in a couple different packs so far but it looks like we’re getting one designed like a junk heap with the Werewolves game pack! We like the look of this bonfire and think it fits the whole grungy werewolf theme really well.
New Guitar
Here we see a werewolf rocking out on a brand new guitar! We always enjoy getting new designs of base game objects that have become kind of dull-looking over the years. Maybe we’ll get some new songs to play? That might be wishful thinking but we can hope.
Custom Fur Patterns?
It was easy to miss because it only lasted for a split-second, but this werewolf appears to have one of the same custom pattern presets on their fur that pets have in CAS. Does this mean we’ll be able to paint our werewolves’ fur in CAS the same way we can paint our cats and dogs?
Pop a Squat!
Werewolves can do their business outside. Werewolves can squat pee. We repeat, werewolves can squat pee! Pass it on!
New Gnome
New gnome! New gnome! New gnome! Who loves gnomes? WE LOVE GNOMES! Looks like we’ll have to update our very important gnome ranking sometime in the near future, huh?
Werewolf Toddlers
Players have long lamented how occult children don’t behave like occults until they become teenagers. We want our little vampires to need plasma packs. We want our little mermaids to have tails and swim in the ocean. We want our little spellcasters to have magic. It looks like The Sims Team is finally listening to us because here we see a werewolf toddler howling like a wolf. Hopefully werewolf kids have their own gameplay and The Sims Team goes back and updates other occult children in future pack refreshes.
Porta-Potties
We caught a glimpse of grungy portable washrooms in the trailer and while the germaphobe in me is gagging, I can’t deny that they fit the vibe of the pack. They are likely a new style of the public washroom objects found around different worlds.
Day Wolves?
During the fight scene between two werewolves, we caught a moment where they were fighting in broad daylight. Does this mean werewolves can gain the ability to retain their wolf form during the day?
Travel by Digging
During the same scene, another werewolf is seen digging into the ground to escape the fight going on. The same werewolf is later seen climbing out of the dirt near the bar where other werewolves are partying. This seems to confirm that werewolves will be able to quickly travel from place to place by digging underground.
Tug of War
We also see two werewolves playing tug of war with a giant dog toy by the bonfire. So it looks like werewolves will have special dog-like interactions with each other, too.
New Running Style
While a lot of players were quick to point out that the werewolf design is basically just a regular Sim with fur and a dog head, they actually do look a little more wolf-like when they run on all fours.
Secret Lair?
At the end of the trailer, we see a pack of wolves exiting some kind of cave structure. When the camera zooms out, we can see that the cave is sitting on top of a huge cliff overlooking the whole town of Moonwood Mill! Is this a secret werewolf lair? A rabbithole? A WooHoo spot? All three? We need to know!
What else did you spot in the trailer? Let us know in the comments!

The latest announcement of The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack got everyone wondering what’s going on? Where’s the Body Hair on the Sims on the Reveal Trailer? Aren’t Werewolves supposed to have at least some body hair in their Human Form?
Worry not! It’s just been announced that Body Hair will be coming to The Sims 4 Base Game for FREE! There is a small catch though – the Free Body Hair Update won’t be available right away with the release of The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack.

Hey Simmers, we are working on body hair that will be coming to the base game in a future update and we'll share more when ready. https://t.co/ouFEtUzibt

We interrupt the breaking news to tell you that Small Telescopes are finally being added to the game!
ARTICLE UPDATE: SimGuruConor confirmed that Small Telescopes will in fact be USABLE, and that there’s also a “Hint of Death”. A new death type while using the telescope?!

Combine Moschino Stuff with Dream Home Decorator to create elegant display cases!
Hi Simmers! I’m back with another mini-tutorial for you! Today, I’ll be showing you how to create some lovely glass display cases using just two objects from Moschino Stuff and Dream Home Decorator.
Let’s get started!
Make sure you have a nice big wall to hang your shelves, then in Build/Buy, enter the cheat bb.moveobjects on. This cheat will not disable your trophies or achievements on console.
Search for the item called “The Acute Cutie Cube Cubbie by Be Modular” from Dream Home Decorator.
Hang the cubbies in a 3×4 arrangement on the wall. These shelves are modular and will snap to each other.
Search for the item called “Frosted Glass Room Divider” and select one of the clear glass swatches.
Size the divider down once with the [ key. For consoles, press left on the d-pad with the object selected.
Raise the divider to match the height of the cubbies by pressing the 9 key. For consoles, press both triggers and up on the d-pad.
Place the divider over the front of the cubbies. It’s a perfect fit! No free placement required!
Now you can place whatever small items you want in the cubbies. You have a beautiful glass display case for collectibles or anything else you want!
What other objects have you used to create glass display shelves? Let us know in the comments!
It’s official! The Sims 4 Werewolves game pack is on the way! The Sims Team has unveiled the official reveal today and have teased the trailer for tomorrow!
In the meantime, they’ve provided us with a first look at the werewolf design and… let’s just say the community had mixed reactions to it. Some love the childish, cartoony look of the new werewolves. Others find them downright unsettling. From what we can see so far, they seem to look like regular Sims dressed up like dogs. Perhaps they will look more… wolf-like in tomorrow’s reveal trailer.
Anyway, whether you love or hate the look of the werewolves, there is one thing we can all enjoy; hilarious memes! And the community has come up with plenty for our general entertainment! Here are some of our favourite reactions to today’s reveal!
Make a childhood friend for life in this limited-time scenario!
The Sims 4 recently added two new scenarios; one permanent and one limited-time scenario. The limited-time scenario is called Best Friends Forever and focuses on the child life state and building friendships with other children.
Here’s how our Best Friends Forever scenario went!
Getting Started
On the scenarios panel in the main menu, you’ll see that the Best Friends scenario is listed as an Easy scenario.
This is a time-limited scenario! Players will have to start the scenario before June 29th, 2022 before it disappears forever. If you’re going to be busy throughout the month of June but still want to play the scenario, we recommend starting the scenario and keeping it saved until you have time to play it out. Any in-progress limited time scenarios can still be played after the deadline.
The scenario description states that your Sim will need to focus on building friendships as a child and enjoy everything childhood has to offer before they become a teenager. This implies that you can potentially fail the scenario if your child Sim becomes a teenager before completing all the goals. If you don’t want to risk failing the scenario, you can play the scenario with aging off.
Once again, the goals on the main menu screen are annoyingly vague but here’s what you have to do:
Become Best Friends with another child Sim
Become Good Friends with 4 Sims
After becoming friends, talk with the Monster Under the Bed (x5)
Imaginary Play, Tell Secret, or Threaten to Throw Away your Stuffed Animal
Play games or activities that build skills while at a park (x20)
Do homework (x3)
Have a birthday party and age up to Teen after completing the previous goals
BFFs Forever
I used one of my households I had made previously for this scenario for the sake of getting into the game quicker. Single dad Avery Lynch and his daughter Adelaide Lynch moved into the apartment next door to the Jangs because I knew the Jangs had a daughter named Billie that Adelaide could befriend.
I got to work befriending Billie and sent Adelaide over to their apartment unit to become friends. She ended up staying late because I was determined not to send her home until the two were BFFs. Before Adelaide left, she gave Billie a key to her apartment so they could hang out whenever Billie wanted. One goal down, 6 more to go!
Since I was pretty sure making friends would be the most time consuming part of the scenario, I prioritized that, first. Luckily, she was good friends with her dad so she now had 2 out of 4 good friends. Whenever Adelaide wasn’t doing homework (another goal finished, phew), she was socializing. She did school projects with Billie and spent time at the park to knock out a few more goals.
Playtime is Productive
The park is a great place to meet other kids, which is where Adelaide met the rest of her friend circle, including Nanami Ito and Lucas Munch. With introductions out of the way, I decided to focus on completing the park activity goals. 20 seems like a high number but you can easily spam this by telling them to play on the monkey bars, cancelling the action once they start, and then lining up the same action again. It will count towards the goal each time.
Once Adelaide completed that goal, most of the kids had gone home for the night so Adelaide did, too. That’s when she was visited by the monster under the bed! Normally, I put a Coolala Defender nightlight in all my kids’ rooms so I don’t have to deal with the pesky monster. It’s cute the first few times but it gets old fast. This time, I needed the monster to appear to complete one of the scenario goals so it was actually exciting.
Adelaide hopped out of bed and began trying to befriend the monster. The first couple of attempts failed but she did eventually become the monster’s friend. Unfortunately, it disappeared as soon as she befriended it so she didn’t have the time to talk to it five more times after that. Oh well, we’ll just have to wait for our new monster friend to pay a visit another night.
I went back to focusing on friends for a while. Adelaide was already good/best friends with Billie and her dad so she only needed two more good friends to complete the other friend goal. She ended up becoming good friends with Nanami and Lucas to make four good friends in total and complete that goal.
Last on the list of playtime activities was bonding with her stuffed animal. For players who don’t know, kids can actually build a relationship with their stuffed animals and become friends (or enemies) with them. The Play interaction did not complete the goal for me but the Tell Secret interaction did. The Tell Secret interaction is only available on stuffed animals your child has become friends with. The Threaten to Throw Away interaction is only available on stuffed animals your child has become enemies with. This leads me to believe that this goal can only be completed after spending time befriending your stuffed animal or being mean to it.
Where is the Monster???
That left only one goal before we could throw a birthday party for Adelaide; talk to the befriended monster under the bed five times. There was just one problem. Okay, make that two problems.
The first problem was that the monster under the bed didn’t seem to want to visit Adelaide again. I forced her to sleep in a regular single bed with no Coolala Defender nightlight and never let her dad spray the bed for monsters. I made her sleep from 8pm to 8am every night and nothing. It figures that when I don’t want the monster to appear, I have to use the nightlight or it shows up every night. The one time I actually want to see it? Nothing.
Oh, what was the second problem, you ask? Well it wasn’t really a problem for Adelaide but probably a big problem for the Rasoya family because Geeta Rasoya keeled over in the middle of the Arts Quarter and died from heat exhaustion. So that was weird.
Moment of silence for Geeta… Okay, moment over. Moving on!
Nearly a week went by with no monster sightings. I was about to go digging for some kind of cheat to force it to show up when finally, it decided to come back one night. For some reason, Adelaide was scared of it and acted like they weren’t friends anymore but talking to the monster did still complete the goal, regardless of whether the attempt was successful or not.
Happy Birthday, Adelaide
At last, Adelaide had met all the requirements to throw a birthday party so I got her and her dad all dressed up in their partywear and invited all her friends over for cake and presents. That’s a lot of presents for one kid, but hey, she’s a straight A student with lots of friends and the worst trouble she’s ever been in is for making a mess in the living room. I’d say she deserves to be spoiled.
As soon as Adelaide blew out the candles on her cake, the scenario completion screen popped up before she even had a chance to spring up into a teenager. I completed the scenario in 8 days but I was cheating up motives quite a bit so it may take you longer to finish without any cheats at all. Since the child age length is 13 days on a normal lifespan, you might want to turn aging off for the scenario to give yourself more time if you need it.
It seems like The Sims Team is starting to give out different rewards for different scenarios because instead of getting the usual 5,000 satisfaction points for finishing the scenario, I was told Adelaide got a sentiment with her BFF and both her and Billie got a Flirty potion in their inventories. That’s a pretty lame prize to begin with but to rub salt in the wound, Adelaide didn’t even get the sentiment or the potion! Even if she had, sentiments are temporary and Flirty potions are one time use with a temporary effect. I would have rather bought some new permanent reward traits with 5,000 satisfaction points.
Our Thoughts
The scenario itself was pretty fun! I enjoyed exploring all the different aspects of childhood with my Sim and I appreciate that we got a scenario that wasn’t focused on adult Sims. It’s definitely a good scenario for family players who like to play with the younger life stages and I’d agree that the scenario is an easy one. The biggest challenge is doing everything before your child becomes a teen but since you can turn aging off to avoid that entirely, it’s as easy or as challenging as you want it to be depending on your chosen lifespan.
My biggest complaints are that this scenario is, once again, time locked for no good reason and the prize for finishing it is… pretty terrible. I maintain that time-locked scenarios should be reserved for special event and holiday-themed scenarios. Everyday life scenarios should always stay in the game permanently Especially a scenario like this. There are so few scenarios that aren’t about adults. Why restrict that further?
As for the reward… please just give me my 5,000 satisfaction points, Sims Team. It’s a let down when you’re expecting a big satisfaction point payout just to get a couple potions and a temporary sentiment instead. Or in my case, not even get those at all. At the very least, list the rewards on the main menu so we can decide if the payout is worth our time and effort.
