We’re already getting a new Sims 4 Expansion Pack. And it’s next in line!
I didn’t expect that we’d be talking about The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 19 so soon, but here we are!
We’ve just concluded the latest Sims 4 Motherlode Season of content releases with the latest 3 official Kits that arrived yesterday. And simmers have already started asking questions about what’s next on The Sims 4 release roadmap for this year.
Luckily, we already have first reports on what EA is working on for the release roadmap.
The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 19 is next!
The latest report about EA and Maxis cooking up The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 19 comes from insider @anadius on Twitter. Who posted an alleged release order of The Sims 4 DLC content:
Right, forgot to say. The 3 kits released yesterday have numbers 96, 97 and 98. EP19 has number 99 – that probably won’t change and it will be the next DLC. And EP20 has number 102, but that might still change. So there will be at minimum 2 DLCs between EP19 and EP20.
What does this mean? By the looks of it, it seems that The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 19 is the next DLC to be announced and released by EA. This wouldn’t be the first, nor the second time that a forecast from this insider turned out to be true.
And what about Expansion Pack 20?
This part of insider’s finding could be subject to change. However, it seems that there are going to be two more DLC releases after The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 19 comes out. After which there will be The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 20 falling next in line.
The release information about The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 19 being next is definitely more likely to happen. Still, we might be looking at another year with 3 Expansion Pack releases. Businesses & Hobbies and two other ones put in the behind-the-scenes roadmap of releases.
When is Expansion Pack 19 getting revealed?
There’s currently no further information about The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 19’s reveal date, release date and features. All we know is what we’ve reported in the title – the EP 19 release is next in line! There’s been talks and rumors about Bands coming to The Sims 4 this year, but that’s still a different speculation altogether.
Your Zoi steps into the vibrant world of inZOI, where their lives feel a little too real and choices can echo in different and sometimes ridiculous consequences. Your Zoi could maybe stumble into their new place- excited, curious and blissfully unaware that death is lurking…everywhere, like Final Destination!
Welcome, players, to the ultimate InZOI death types guide and how not to accidentally harm your Zoi.
InZOI Death Types
Starvation: The Quiet Fade
This is one of the easier InZOI death types: take care of your Zoi’s needs! If you don’t, they’ll just start to rub their belly and frown. Ignore the signs, and they’ll collapse and become a victim of your poor grocery planning. Tragic? Yes, but preventable! Make sure to remember to feed them because their virtual stomachs rumble, too.
Pollution: Death in the Air
The city looks hazier today, but your Zoi just shrugs it off as they breathe in the smog-thickened air. Days pass, and the world grows grey, as does your Zoi, which may be a sign that pollution is in the air. Prolonged exposure weakens your Zoi until there isn’t anything left but dust in the wind. I would recommend investing in an air purifier, their lungs will be forever in your debt.
Disease: The Unseen Assassin
Auchoo. That’s how it starts… with a sneeze and a sluggish walk. Illness in the game doesn’t just come subtly- it comes kicking down your door. If you don’t look after your Zoi, which meds, it will linger and take over. Don’t let them win while you’re still decorating.
Car Accidents: Blink and They’re Gone
It was just a quick stroll to the café! The light was green… I think. Might have been looking at my Zoi’s phone instead of the traffic, and suddenly, my Zoi’s body flipped like a pancake. Just like that, game over. Whether it is a joyride gone wrong or a hit-and-run, cars really aren’t forgiving. Crosswalks aren’t decoration… Use them, players!
Sleep Deprivation: The Collapse
One of the new InZOI death types is sleep deprivation. Late nights turn into early mornings; we’ve all been there! Your Zoi works, games, orders food and scrolls endlessly. You promise them a nap but just one more task. Until you don’t realise but they drop to the floor, and they aren’t moving. Uh-oh. Exhaustion isn’t just a mood; it’s fatal. Let them rest! They’re not machines…even if they run on nothing but algorithms.
Loneliness & Lack of Recognition: The Slow Disappearance
Your Zoi might wave to a neighbour- no response. They post a picture- nothing. Days have gone by, and radio silence. Zois are social animals, wired for connections. Deny they praise, ignore their dreams, and the loneliness begins to set in. Suddenly, it’s like they’ve vanished. Your Zoi needs a hug… or a karaoke night with other Zois. Who doesn’t?
Slipping: The Wet Floor Warning You Ignored
Why is everything a mess? The floor is wet from a busted pipe, and your Zoi is dancing around the puddles until- splat! Their head meets the floor. This is not a prank; it is permanent. Invest in non-slip rugs, fix your pipes or accept the risk of wet floor carnages.
Electric Shock: The Price of DIY
The TV’s broken again, but that doesn’t stop your Zoi from grabbing a screwdriver with confidence! (Even though they have no skill for it). Sparks fly! Not the good kind. One frayed wire, and they’re toast… literally. If you care for your Zoi, maybe don’t let them become an electrician; I don’t think they’re destined for the job.
Old Age: The One Exit We Can’t Avoid
Your Zoi has danced, loved, cried, sung and lived. Wrinkles begin to show and they’re in need of a walking stick. One morning, they could be sitting by the window and smiling as they close their eyes and they don’t open them. It’s okay if they survived that long… you should be proud of yourself. They didn’t just survive- you helped them live life.
Fire: The Blaze of Regret
It could be a sizzling pan or a microwave; one spark is all it takes. Boom- a fire has erupted, and your Zoi tries to put it out with a fire extinguisher, but the smoke thickens, flames begin to climb and escaping is looking less likely. You watch, unable to help, as their home becomes a tomb. All because you wanted your Zoi to cook. Make sure you watch closely what they cook.
Final Thoughts from the Other Side
Your Zoi is not just another character. They’re your responsibility, your creation and your sometimes whiny little buddy. Their life is made of yours and their choices, but sometimes, your mistakes. Everything may have consequences, but you should still love recklessly, decorate wildly and live every moment like it’s your last. In inZOI, it could be.

Object Functionality
Unlike many previous Kits (besides Bust the Bust, we don’t talk about Bust the Dust), this Kit features some new gameplay that we haven’t previously seen in The Sims 4. The new ‘Astroluxe‘ range of appliances can be restored to their former glory through the Restore interaction. When purchased from the catalogue, these objects will come pre-broken, cannot be duplicated, and the swatch can’t be changed once placed. It will take Sims at Level 1 of the Handiness skill around 5 hours to restore the stove and fridge, and around 2 and a half hours to restore the coffee maker and microwave.
Fixed variants of the appliances can be purchased by using the cheat [bb.showhiddenobjects] after enabling cheats with [testingcheats on]!
Styled Room
Unlike the past few Kits, The Sims 4 Restoration Workshop Kit comes with one styled room, the aptly named ‘The Restoration Workshop‘, which comes in three styles and costs §12,189!
Our Review of The Restoration Workshop Kit
Grungy, run-down, and broken objects are a personal favourite for me in The Sims 4. When The Sims 4 Restoration Workshop Kit was announced back in February, myself and other Simmers spent months speculating what exactly the Kit could entail. Many said it could come alongside a surprise addition of cars, however, I was sceptical of this. As it turns out, the Sims 4 Restoration Workshop Kit is all about restoring and refurbishing old appliances to make them run like new again!
When the Kit was first shown off just two days ago, I was delighted to see that this Kit comes with a handful of new grungey items for run-down spaces. This is something I love to see in The Sims 4. As with furniture in real life, not everything is pristine at all times! The standout additions that come with this Kit are the four pre-broken objects that your Sims can restore to their original condition. The 1950s aesthetic of these objects is something we haven’t seen much of in The Sims 4, and these four objects have me crying out for a full retro kitchen Kit!
As previously mentioned, these four appliances cannot be purchased in their pristine condition – this may come as an annoyance to some builders, however, you can always use the debug cheat! This kind of small gameplay feature is something I wish all Kits came with, as it truly feels like there is something new besides decoration and non-interactable clutter.
The items in this Kit, despite being marketed for a restoration workshop, are very versatile and can be used across art studios, garage spaces, and basements, just to name a few. I am super excited to see what Simmers come up with when building with this pack. I do hope The Sims Team expand on the “restore” interaction in the future, as there is a host of new gameplay opportunities that could come from the concept.
The Sims 4 Restoration Workshop Kit is a testament to the power of environmental storytelling in The Sims 4, and the teams that create such Kits. While it may not cater to those seeking sleek, modern aesthetics, it offers exciting new objects and small gameplay features for builders and storytellers alike. At the usual price of $4.99USD/£4.99 GBP, this Kit is, in my opinion, worth the price tag for those who love realistic additions to their Sims’ homes!

Each of the new objects come in a range of colours, including a combination of fun pastel colours, brighter colours and some lovely and more neutral colours to choose from.
So, let’s create a nice, cozy cat café using Sixam’s My Purrfect Cat Café Custom Content Pack!
Building a Feline Friendly Café
Without hesitation, we jumped straight into building our own cozy cat café! Much like Sixam, we had our own vision in mind as well as a few packs that we thought would work great with the custom content pack.
After some experimenting with colours, placement and what objects we wanted to use. We had a small but workable cat café, ready to serve the local community. Only one thing was missing, our little furry friends!
With everything sorted, it was ready to open the doors for the first time!
As we were building out cozy cat café, we found that The Sims 4 High School Years Expansion had a lot of objects that would work well with Sixam’s content. Not only for the colour swatches, but also the objects that you could use when creating a Boba Tea Shop. Specifically, we incorporated Thrifttea Boba Tea Counter alongside the counters that came with My Purrfect Cat Café Pack.
For the main space of the Café, we utilized the larger cat tree and the seating options that also came in the new pack. These worked well as they continued with our cute and adorable yet somewhat cozy vibe that we were aiming for.
Yes, Nancy was angry every time she visited our little cat café for some reason too!
We added a few objects from The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs alongside those from The Sims 4 Cat Café CC pack to tie the last few bits together. With that we had a small yet promising and functional cat café.
What Do We Think?
If you are looking for a way to expand upon your experience with The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack, then, certainly have a look at Sixam’s upcoming collection. It is certainly a pack that is versatile and incorporates well with many of the existing additional packs we have in The Sims 4 line-up.
You can make a variety of different themed cat café’s from cute and adorable ones with lots of pastel and brighter colours, or go for a much cozier feeling with more neutral and fall colours.
There certainly are a number of different options to make the perfect small business for your Sims to manage, and a Cat Café really is one of the more unique experiences. You just need to find the right clientele, and you are good to go!

In Willow Creek’s neighborhood Foundry Cove, a tree can be accessed which leads players to a secret lot. Sylvan Glade is a dreamy landscape with pink-leafed trees, twinkling lightning bugs, and two fishing spots to catch rare fish.

Inspired by English villages and UK countrysides, Henford-On-Bagley is a tight-knit community centered around agriculture, small businesses, and animal husbandry. The pack and included world encourage sims to cultivate most of their own goods, through in-game dialogue, competitions, and the “Simple Living” lot challenge. The world also adds returning NPCs like Agnes Crumplebottom, who is well-known for her prudish and PDA-hating ways. While it does experience all four seasons, they tend to be mild, cool, and very rainy.
#20: Tartosa
Release Date: February 23rd, 2022 Released With (Patch/Expansion): My Wedding Stories Neighborhood Amount: 2 Lot Amount: 9 Premade Families: 4 (Laurent, Markovic, Soto, Jaleel) / Meet The Residents! The sands and sun of Tartosa are largely inspired by countries like Italy, Croatia, Greece, and other coastal Mediterranean regions. A lot of references to Italy are apparent in the world, although the architecture is closer to other Mediterranean countries. With pretty mild seasons, Tartosa doesn’t experience snow or extreme heatwaves, with most days of the year being warm and possibly windy.
#21: Moonwood Mill

The third occult-centered world (excluding Sixam, as it not accessible through the map, and is not a residential nor vacation world), Moonwood Mill is another forested world likely taking inspiration from the Pacific Northwest, placing its location likely near Granite Falls, Glimmerbrook, and Evergreen Harbor. With all four seasons and cool winters, Moonwood Mill is the setting stage for the werewolf packs “Moonwood Collective” and “Wildfangs”.
#22: Copperdale
Release Date: July 28th, 2022 Released With (Patch/Expansion): High School Years Neighborhood Amount: 3 Lot Amount: 12 Premade Families: 3 (Harjo, Prescott, Price, and 3 Additional Homeless Townies) / Meet The Residents! Centered around the local Copperdale High School and a small town with a rich mining industry history, Copperdale is a town likely inspired by towns in the Rocky Mountains region of the United States. A direct inspiration of the San Francisco Bay region of the United States, San Sequoia has two regions connected by a large bridge (likely based on the Golden Gate Bridge) and pushes for a close-knit community and familial activities. Because it is a coastal town, it tends to be warmer with winters not getting colder than the “Cool” temperature with Seasons installed.
#24: Chestnut Ridge
Release Date: July 20th, 2023 Released With (Patch/Expansion): Horse Ranch Neighborhood Amount: 3 Lot Amount: 13 Premade Families: 5 (The Nectar Making Duo, Grove, Sienna & Flapjack, Crinkletop) / Meet The Residents! Like Strangerville, Chestnut Ridge takes inspiration from the desert region of the United States, including Nevada, Arizona, and other arid states. The world is large, not in the amount of lots, but rather in the total size of each neighborhood to allow for long rides with horses, which were introduced in the same pack. Although it is a desert, Chestnut Ridge experiences all four seasons and can experience freezing cold temperatures and snowstorms.
#25: Tomarang
Release Date: December 7th, 2023 Released With (Patch/Expansion): For Rent Neighborhood Amount: 2 Lot Amount: 9 Premade Families: 5 (Cahyaputri, Linh-Sadya, Linh, Bun Ma, Li) / Meet The Residents! As another tropical world that experiences Monsoons like Sulani does, Tomarang instead takes inspiration from Southeast Asia, primarily the countries of the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. With a humid, hot, and generally tropical climate, Tomarang has unique activities including its Tiger Sanctuary and Night Market.
#26: Ciudad Enamorada

As the home of the Netherworld Department of the Reaper career, Ravenwood is the first world to cemeteries and has festivals and events centered around the celebration of life, death, and everything in between. While it is a colder world, snow and freezing temperatures do not occur in Ravenwood.
#28: Nordhaven
Release Date: March 6th, 2025 Released With (Patch/Expansion): Businesses & Hobbies Neighborhood Amount: 2 Lot Amount: 12 Premade Families: 7 (Koopman, Urbane Housesharers, Sarpong, Loden, Hoffman, Nyhus, Amri) As the first obviously Scandinavian-inspired world in The Sims 4, Nordhaven is a close-knit community, promoting small businesses, honing crafts and hobbies, helping your neighbors, and indulging in all the sweet things life has to offer (Although shady characters do pepper the economy of Nordhaven, like that good ol’ Trashley Reelperson). Since it is another coastal harbor city, it does experience all four seasons with slightly warmer temperatures in the Summer, but it can get snowfall in the Winter.

Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of InZOI looks like? Well, you’re in luck, as today we’ll be sharing an insight into one of the many ZOI’s that reside within the Sims Community Team!
A typical day in the life of inZOI can look very different for everyone and every ZOI. However, first things first, we need to introduce our ZOI and give you an insight into who they are, what makes them a ZOI, and, just give you a little bit of a backstory.
Table of Contents
Meet Our ZOI
Meet Julie, one of the latest ZOI’s to move into the Dowon Neighbourhood. Julie is a young adult and high school graduate who has recently moved into town and is setting her sights on something big. What that is, she’s not quite sure of just yet.
Julie has always been creative, with a love of music, dance and art. Is it time for Julie to make her move to university to continue her studies? Maybe it’s time to make a career out of her passions which, is something that Dowon could accommodate. After all, her ambition is to be the Voice of Heaven as well as having the traits of an Entertainer.
Providing that there is nothing that means making repairs to everyday objects or having to read any more non-fiction books than is absolutely necessary, then life in Dowon might just be what Julie needs.
Before moving to Downon, a day in the Life of InZOI for her was filled with finishing off her studies at the local high school, hanging out with friends and learning more about dance and music.
Apartment Living
Upon arriving in Dowon, the first thing Julie had to do was find somewhere to live. Apartment viewing, as a day In the life of InZOI, was challenging. With several viewings for potential apartments, I settled on one in Dowon Villa. Perfect for a single ZOI like Julie to start getting her bearings in a new environment.
As for furnishing, we used one of the presets that was assigned to this particular apartment. With lots of pinks and pretty pastel shades, as well as plenty of natural lighting, the apartment was perfect!
A Day in the Life of InZOI
But what does a day in the life of InZOI typically look like? Well, we are about to find out more!
For our ZOI of choice, Julie, there currently is a wave of freedom surrounding her, so it’s the perfect time to familiarise ourselves with Dowon and get to know some of the locals.
Dowon is packed full of things to do from visiting Central Park, the karaoke bar, and local art galleries to gaming cafés, photo studios and more! There truly is no shortage of things to do!
Four Wheeled Freedom
Before starting our exploration adventure around Dowon, as well as walking and using the subway, we decided to get Julie a car. This was so we could also check out how well driving around the city was!
Buying a car is easy! Simply head to your ZOI’s mobile phone. Select the Dream Car app. From there you’ll head to the Buy tab, select your car, and you are good to go! You’ll just need to ensure you enable the manual driving option from the gameplay settings to allow you to take control of the car.
Driving is easy in game, you just use the same controls you would for moving your ZOI around. Just be careful not to crash into other cars, as your ZOI may end up in a heated conversation with another ZOI!
Starting The Day Right
Much like in The Sims, our ZOI’s have their own needs that we need to take care of. After a good night’s sleep, it’s time for the most important meal of the day, breakfast, and with that we’ve got the ball rolling for a day in the life of InZOI.
With food and drink out of the way, normal morning routines done, it was time to think about the day ahead. Remember, Julie currently doesn’t have any kind of job and isn’t currently attending university in Dowon.
Let’s head out into Dowon!
Exploring Dowon
First up, we checked out our schedule to see if there were any events on and to make sure we didn’t clash with any other planned events on the radar. As it was still early in the day, we headed to Harang River Park for a spot of fishing! This was the first time we had been fishing but proved to be something fun to pass sometime.
For our next task, Julie swung by Jenna Fashion to purchase a couple of new outfits. The first one, a floral midi dress with trainers, wasn’t quite a hit but the second outfit, a sparkling purple outfit combo was perfect!
Next, and likely the last place to check out, is the Karaoke Rooms. Here we had Julie interact with a few other ZOI’s, get to know a few more of the Dowon locals, and also take the time to sing a few songs while improving her skills.
With that, the day was coming to an end, and it was time to head home, ready to get a good night sleep. Even though it was not an overly eventful day, it was nice to explore Dowon, whether it was walking through one of the parks, catching the subway to another area of the neighbourhood or just going for a relaxing drive around the city!
As much as it was fun to have a relaxing day out and about, it was certainly time to decide. Does Julie jump into a typical nine to five career of some description or, do we return to studying at university?
Starting University
Well, until now Julie wasn’t attending university but what better way to kick off the weekend by enrolling at the University of Youngsung where Julie will be studying as a Multimedia Arts Major three times a week.
With a big challenge ahead, who knows what lays ahead of Julie. New friends, new experiences, new challenges and many memories to be made in InZOI. Check back again soon as we may have more tales to tell and more of an insight into a day in the life of InZOI once Julie has settled in a little more!

The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies Mods
130 New Small Business Logos
Tired of the same generic signage? Time to rebrand, baby.
This mod drops a *whole* collection of 130 sleek, stylish business logos straight into your game. Whether you’re running a boho juice bar or a high-end tattoo parlour, now you can actually make it look the part. Minimalist? Retro? Eclectic? There’s something for every vibe.
Because five activities just aren’t enough for a true multitasking mogul.
This mod bumps your business activity cap from 5 to 8, so you can finally run that chaotic combo: café + yoga studio + art gallery all under one roof. Go big or go home, right?
Bring that serene, spa-like Mt. Komorebi energy into your business.
Add immersive, culturally inspired customer interactions straight out of the snowy mountain retreat. Think tea ceremonies, meditation circles, and other chill vibes. Perfect for spas, wellness centres, or that one Sim who insists on selling incense with every purchase.
This genius little mod lets Sims on the lot take over vendor stalls, which means no more awkward empty booths or you awkwardly micromanaging everything.
Artists, rejoice: no more rolling the creative dice.
Ever wanted to paint something specific instead of hoping for the best? This mod adds a picker to the easel so you can finally choose which painting your Sim creates—a total game-changer for art studios or freelance painters trying to match their decor.
Because blinking and missing the alarm sound is SO last patch.
This mod gives you a visual heads-up when the alarm is turned on or off—perfect for players who multitask or forget what they were doing 20 seconds ago (guilty). It’s a small touch but adds a massive slice of realism.
Open a beauty salon where your Sim can actually earn money giving makeovers, haircuts, and glam sessions. Think Queer Eye: Sim Edition. Bonus points if you create a runway for dramatic reveals.
Whether your business needs a social club or just more tailored actions, this mod lets you add hyper-specific activities for both customers and employees. Host a painting class or have your employees run yoga sessions—it’s like a sandbox of productivity.
Say goodbye to the weird blue/green mask when applying tattoos in paint mode. This mod strips it away so your ink designs are crisp, clean, and banding-free. Tattoo artists, you’re welcome.
This mod adds over 1,500 new icons for clubs, small businesses, holidays, and even SimTuber avatars. If you’re deep into branding, this is your dream come true.
This mod removes the annoying restriction that forces businesses to close after 23 hours. Now, if you want to run a 24-hour bakery, tattoo parlour, or dance club, go right ahead. Who needs sleep anyway?
The cute little checkout upgrade you didn’t know you needed.
This sleek replacement for the clunky default kiosk is perfect for modern cafés, boutiques, or tech-savvy pop-up shops. It’s minimalist, functional, and totally in-vibe.
And there you have it—12 The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies mods that’ll take your small business from bare-bones to boss-level. As fans eagerly await the Early Access release of Paralives later this year, the development team continues to pull back the curtain on the ambitious systems and charming aesthetic that promise to please. This time, we’re getting an exciting look at the Paralives town your Paras will call home.
Let’s dive into how Paralives is creating their vibrant, explorable world.
Table of Contents
Designing a town that feels alive
The team at Paralives have four clear goals when it comes to designing the town: open world, diversity for different playstyles, explorable, and character.
Open world
The Paralives town is designed as a fully open-world environment – meaning there will be no loading screens between lots and Paras can freely explore shops, parks, restaurants, and workplaces. The goal is to make players want to get out of the house and experience the city.
Diversity for every playstyle
From urban townhouses to cosy suburban homes, the town will include a mix of lot sizes and styles. Builders can go wild with empty plots, while story-driven players will find pre-made homes rich in personality that feel at home in their environment.
Explorable and human scaled
This town is designed for walking speeds. This means that the travel times are tuned to ensure Paras can get around without losing their whole day. Expect a city where a 30 to 60 minute in-game walk gets you where you need to go – a thoughtful balance between immersion and gameplay convenience.
A rich character and history
The town won’t just be functional: it’ll be beautiful and full of stories. Expect diverse architecture, historical landmarks, and layered details that hint at a rich past. The developers want this town to feel like somewhere you’d want to visit in real life.
Explore the two new districts: old town and industrial
The Paralives town will be split into districts, each with its own vibe and backstory.
From this colour-coded Paralives town map we can see the four districts they are aiming for, but so far we only have information about two of them: Old Town and Industrial.
The team also showed off this idea of the scale of the town. This small square section of the map containing a few buildings takes up only a small amount of space overall. It’s looking like we will have about 50 to 70 lots in total, including things like public parks, shops and residential lots that you can buy or that are occupied by Para NPCs.
Old town
Inspired by European architecture, Old Town is filled with stone townhouses, narrow streets, and a small castle that hints at the city’s medieval roots. Think 17th-century trading post turned charming tourist destination.
These are some of the inspiration photos that the Paralives team used when designing their old town.
This area reflects the town’s industrial revolution era. Red-brick factories, abandoned warehouses, and modern loft conversions create a gritty yet artistic contrast to Old Town’s postcard-perfect streets. It’s a district full of transformation.
What would a Paralives town be without houses? The team showed off their designs for the first houses and the initial sketches.
A first sketch
Even from these first sketches for the Paralives town houses you can tell that they ooze character, while still sticking to the 17th century historical features they have been inspired by.
In their words, they wanted to show off a “strong structure that were well maintained that could have belonged to merchants in the past, and that now look picturesque.”
Looking at their house inspiration board, it will be interesting to see if the historical touches like window-taxed bricked-over windows, old drinking fountains, and other charms consistent with old European towns will come in to the design as this is where they are taking lots of inspiration from.
One thing is for sure though – the town houses they have shared with us look stunning! Here are a few that they displayed proudly on their Patreon page.
Looking ahead to the future of Paralives
The Paralives town, like the game, is still in development, but what’s already taking shape is promising. With its blend of gameplay convenience, architectural beauty (with historical accuracy), and storytelling potential, the town is going to be a place for your Paras to build a beautiful life.
As the team shares more sneak peeks in the coming months, one thing is clear: Paralives town isn’t just a town, it’s the backbone of this beautifully aesthetic game.

Danny Kovacs, Game Designer on the Kit, recalls the clutter of the home garage workshops he’s grown up in. “I find the combination of clutter and utility objects gives the perfect creative atmosphere for your Sim when pondering a next project. Will they tell the story of a Fixer Upper’ and repair all of the Astroluxe appliances. Or tell the story of an artisan making fine crafted goods at their workstation.”
Want to create a space for your Sim to get down to business? We’ve got you covered! Build out your workshop for your handy Sim with modular shelves loaded with tools, woodworking benches that are coated in a thick layer of dust, even water heaters, fuse box and functional floor fan.

The Sims 4 Kitchen Clutter Kit
Cooking up a cluttered kitchen!
Forgot your dishes on the drying rack? Left an open cereal box on the counter? The kitchen is the hub of family life. Make yours look lived-in with The Sims 4 Kitchen Clutter Kit with lunchboxes, a kitchen timer, recipe tablet and much more!
Danny fondly remembers the family kitchen that he grew up in and used those memories of cooking together, learning new skills, and spending time together to inform the items in this Kit. “I smiled pretty big the first time I saw the clutter in-game and thought, ‘This looks just like home.’ From the stack of dishes waiting to be put away, to the slightly chaotic spice rack, to food containers and grocery bags scattered across the counter. A kitchen that feels lived in gives a cozy vibe. And it’s not just for show! Grab a snack straight from the cookie jar or cereal box, pack a meal with the functional lunchbox, or do that grocery run by purchasing ingredients directly from the grocery bag.”
A whole lot of living occurs in the kitchen, from a refrigerator with colorful magnets and creative drawings to the overflowing groceries, bottles of cleaning supplies and strewn dishtowels, all can showcase stories of a busy family.
The Sims 4 Restoration Workshop, Golden Years and Kitchen Clutter Kits will be available on May 1, 2025 on EA app™, Epic Games Store and Steam®, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One systems.
The Sims 4 Restoration Workshop, Golden Years and Kitchen Clutter Kits require The Sims 4 base game, available free to download with all game updates. See minimum system requirements for the pack.

Slower Rate of Lot Pollution
We have significantly slowed the rate at which lots become dirty. Although cleanliness is designed as an element Creators can manage themselves, the previous setting caused pollution to occur too frequently, disrupting the natural flow of gameplay. With this patch, the pollution speed has been greatly eased, and we are also considering adding an option to disable lot cleanliness changes entirely in a future update.
Improved Sudden Emotional Stability for Zois
ased on reports from Creators, we have addressed the issue where Zois’ emotions would change too rapidly and unnaturally. Now, the primary emotion will only change if the emotional score reaches 2 points or higher. Otherwise, the Zois’ base emotion will remain stable. As this adjustment might slow emotional changes slightly in some situations, we plan to introduce further improvements to ensure even more natural emotional transitions.
Adjusted hunger restoration from street food to prevent Zois from getting hungry too frequently.
Bug Fixes
Gameplay
Fixed an issue where male Zois could not eat street food while seated.
Fixed an issue where the Tteokbokki-related urge could not be completed.
Character
Fixed an issue where Zois’ facial appearance set in ‘Create a Zoi’ appeared differently in-game.
Build Mode
Fixed an issue where the original creator was not retained when applying a lot preset of a different size than the current property.
Fixed an issue where the default color and material would only apply to part of the stairs after rotating stairs and applying a stair wall.
Crash Fixes
Fixed an issue where graphical glitches and intermittent freezes could occur during SceneDepthZ processing while playing.
Other Issues
Fixed an issue where changes made in Game Options were automatically applied without clicking “Apply” in the confirmation popup.
Fixed an issue where save files could not be loaded if the file path contained certain special characters.
Finally, we’ve improved localization quality for several languages to ensure a more natural experience.
You can check the localization status for each language under [Options > Gameplay > Game Language].
We’ll continue working to make inZOI more stable and enjoyable for everyone.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and valuable feedback.

We have gone through several sources and have the latest news and our best analysis on how The Sims movie will shape up now that game-based films are the hottest trend and, possibly, what the project will be like according to the people directly involved.

The Minecraft Movie Shock
Doubted when announced and ridiculed with every trailer, A Minecraft Movie was expected to open around 50 million dollars, which is a soft start, given a 150 million budget and an estimated 100 million dollar marketing expense. However, first weekend blew every video-game adaptation record at 163 million in the United States and 313 million worldwide. Three weeks in, it’s already at 720 million, with the billion-dollar mark within reach.
On the heels of Super Mario Bros making 1.3 billion in 2023 and every of three Sonic films – rapidly released between 2020 and 2024 – raking in more box-office than the last, video-games movies, are rising exactly when superheros and live-action adaptations are not necessarily the reliable sure-fire hits of the past. Minecraft wasn’t a fluke either. Five Nights At Freddy’s (2023), cost 20 million and made almost 300 million worldwide, even though it was simultaneously available on streaming.

This has studios scrambling to find their own Minecraft. Amazon MGM has the distribution rights to The Sims movie and they are bullish to get into the Intellectual Propriety game. They just bought the creative rights of James Bond for, reportedly, a billion dollars and want to release at least 14 films in theaters a year, Courtenay Valenti, Amazon MGM’s head of film, said at CinemaCon.
The impact of A Minecraft Movie probably means The Sims will not be a Prime Video streaming project, but a big screen release, with a sizeable budget to match. The Sims 4 is the 4th most played game in the world and a pop culture staple for 25 years. It’s exactly the kind of IP Amazon is aggressively pursuing, because it allows them to sell tie-in merchansise.
They tried this with their Chritmas release Red One, starring The Rock, but Red One was an original concept that failed to catch on. The Sims is a reconizable IP, with a lot of movie merch potential, certainly a priority for Amazon’s ambitions.
It used to be that videogame-to-film adaptation would retain the name and some of the visuals, but overall, not be very faithful. There was a concern that general audiences would feel lost amid too many references or lore. This fear has been destroyed by Super Mario Bros and A Minecraft Movie. Lots of deep cuts catering to fans of the games set those films apart from name-only adaptations. This trend will allow The Sims to be more faithful and lean into the lore, trying to create its own “Chicken Jockey” moment.
Audiences were so engrossed by the reconizable references and memes during the Minecraft screenings that police had to be called out in a few instances, because the fans were too out of control. This amused the director Jared Hess, who said, “It’s weird when you’re having too much fun and the cops get called. I’m just glad people are making memories”. EA’s vice president and general manager of “The Sims” franchise Kate Gorman understands the assignement and wants to give longtime fans what they want too.
There will be a lot of lore. (…) You will see a lot of ‘The Sims’ universe come to life and you will see a lot of the classic experiences that our players have in the games. (…) There will be Freezer Bunnies. I’m sure a pool without a ladder is somewhere in there, but we haven’t finalized any of those details.
That same Variety article she gave this interview to even name checks Bela Goth! Yes, movie theaters want meme-filled releases and are even promoting exclusive screenings where fans are encouraged to shout memes at the screen.
Many Sims classic moments are meme-worthy. From burglars, to grilled-cheese sandwiches and the Grim Reaper, there are many choices.
Quirky Director
Lots of credit is being given to Minecraft’s director Jared Hess for the nonsense humor and over-the-top fun performances in the film. He was not the usual suspect to helm a blockbuster, having cut his teeth on cult comedies like Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre. Fortunately, The Sims movie is also on the hands of someone with off-beat sensibilities, filmmaker Kate Herron.
She was responsible for half of the first season of Netflix comedy Sex Education and the entire first season of Loki, Marvel’s highest-rated series to date, where she completely departed from their usual aesthetic language and presented costumes, set design, effects and score that came together in an immersive world unlike anything else in the Marvel Cinematic universe. As a writer, she showed her excellent campiness (and musical taste) in an episode of Doctor Who:

The Sims has always prided itself on being weird and Herron can certainly bring that forth.
Barbie Connection
Perhaps where The Sims will set itself apart from A Minecraft Movie will be relying a lot less on CGI. LuckyChap, the company behind the live-action Barbie is producing the film, including Barbie herself, Margot Robbie; Josey McNamara, Roy Lee and Tom Ackerley also produce it. They have the expertise of being giant pratical sets that can make Willow Creek or any other Sims world really pop on-screen.

We have no idea if Robbie will be in front of the cameras – she does produce pictures she doesn’t star in, like Saltburn and Promising Young Woman. Still, she can rock the dark hair!

Search for a Star
If Margot Robbie decides to only produce the film, they’ll probably still need to attach a name-star to the movie. Chris Pratt voiced Mario, Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves beefed up the Sonic sequels’ casts and Jack Black and Jason Momoa were no strangers to starring films that made hundreds of million on the box-office before Minecraft.
Given The Sims fanbase has lots of girls and women and LuckyChap projects are usually female-led, a comic counterpart to Jack Black could be Anna Faris, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy, Rebel Wilson or Tina Fey.
What about Bella Goth? Is she going to be in her 20s? Jenna Ortega really has the Goth look down. Is she already older, married, with a teenage daughter and a son? Sofía Vergara is probably the first name to come to mind. But we don’t have an official confirmation on the story yet, so casting, at this point, is pure speculation.
The Sims movie already has a production company and studio attached, the backing of a gigantic video game company, very experienced producers and a proven director. It’s very likely that, given how hot the videogame-to-movie-theater pipeline is right now, we should get a release date announcement soon, so casting can begin.
Expect a faithful adaptation, full of lore and memes, leaning more on comedy and quirkness, with at least a big name female actor leading, probably someone with a comedic background, and plenty of pratical sets. It’s likely a priority for Amazon MGM and EA Games and, since it’s been greenlit already, it should start shooting no later than 2026. Post-production takes at least a year, so release is at least two to three years away. Still, we should be getting a lot more news this very year, as soon as casting starts.

Paralives just showed some behind the scenes toddler animations via Twitter/X and they are really fun to watch. Down below you can see the full video preview shared on X. We also covered more behind the scenes footage which you can find here. If you like taking care of toddlers in games, this update is for you.
There are a bunch of new animations like picking up a toddler from the floor or putting them in a high chair. Once they’re in the chair, they can sit there quietly, eat food, or make a huge mess with it. Sometimes they refuse to eat at all and just cry in the chair. It’s kind of funny and also a little too real.
Floor Animations
There are also some really sweet gameplay moments. Adults can hug the toddlers or tickle them, and the toddlers laugh and have fun. They can also watch TV while sitting on the floor or get up and do a little dance. The dancing one is super cute. More gameplay features can be found here.
Bath Animations
There are bath animations too. You can put the toddler in the tub and wash them. But of course sometimes they throw a tantrum and don’t want to be cleaned at all.
Stair Animations
One of the coolest parts is that toddlers can now go up stairs by themselves. They do it slowly and kind of wobbly but it’s adorable to watch.
Overall the new animations make toddlers in Paralives feel more lively. They are messy, funny, and sometimes a little wild, just like real kids. It’s going to make playing with families way more interesting than just a crib bound object.
