Electronic Arts City Living

EA strikes Again with Fansite Censorship!

Just a few hours after the embargo for The Sims 4 City Living had been lifted, DOTsim, a Polish fansite which had an opportunity to interview Grant Rodiek – one of the producers of this Expansion Pack, was asked to remove the entire interview off his website!

Electronic Arts asked us to hide the Q&A with SimGuruGrant. Our post was about elevator animations, subway, adding elevators as objects and free updates.

However, this isn’t the first time EA tried to do such a thing and alter a news post – just a month ago, they tried to belittle our news post which was appreciated by the community and also asked a certain fansite to alter their news report. You can read all about this situation HERE!

It’s unknown when and if DOTsim will be able to bring their interview back. It contained nothing else than a few explanations why certain features didn’t make the cut in The Sims 4 City Living. If you want to read the interview, it’s still up on our website!

Im not surprised by this at all!! The interview just showed us how Lazy the devs are with their “Too time consuming” comments.

We’re still waiting to find out what they’ve been doing for the past year while they’ve been telling us how overloaded they are with requests from community members and how much larger their team is than it has ever been. The volume of coding we see in each pack isn’t more than a few months of work for two or three people, even with testing, so what are these huge teams doing during their years of silence and resistance to community feedback? — Here’s another source for the interview with Grant Rodiek: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=cs&u=http://defifreakyboo.blogspot.cz/2016/10/rozhovor-s-grantem-rodiekem-producentem.html&prev=search
