Remember the first frame from The Sims 4 StrangerVille’s Game Pack Trailer that shows a picture frame on the table of 3 Sims taking a selfie together? If the memory doesn’t serve you right, here’s an image below:
Anyway, SimGuruGrant, senior producer working on The Sims 4 has admitted that this frame was only a “trick” that The Sims Video Team has done to charm up the video. However, due to a positive reaction by the community for this potential feature, Grant has confirmed that The Sims Team is now “looking into” adding this feature to the game soon. However, there are no promises!
Many questions regarding the selfie photo (below) from the reveal trailer, specifically the ability to put it on a surface instead of the wall. This is a little trick we did just for the video. Sorry! BUT. We didn’t expect this to be a thing, so now we are looking into doing it. pic.twitter.com/ouaPO75HZJ

No guarantees. But, we will look into what it takes to do this.

Same. It sucks using that one team photo for framed surface photos. lol
Would be neat!
They didn’t expect it to be a thing.. every “trick” they do in a trailer is a must thing for us players.. but too bad most of the time it’s only a trick or decoration ..
Of course they knew it would cause a stir. They’re not new hires, they just like to rattle the players.
Frankly, I think the devs are jerks. Grant in particular.
