While The Sims 4 Realm of Magic doesn’t come with any new traits for your Sims, there are several new reward traits that you can unlock.
The Magical Bloodline trait comes in three different variations. The more generations of a family you have, the stronger the trait will become.
Weak Bloodline
This Sim’s parents had no Bloodline traits. Sims with the Weak Bloodline trait gain an additional talent point at each Spellcaster rank to spend towards perks. They also gain Spellcaster experience faster and reduce the chance of overloading by 10%.
Strong Bloodline
At least one of this Sim’s parents had a Weak Bloodline trait. Sims with a Strong Bloodline trait gain an additional talent point for each Spellcaster rank to spend towards perks. They also gain Spellcaster experience faster and reduce the chance of overloading by 20%
Ancient Bloodline
At least one of this Sim’s parents had a Strong or Ancient Bloodline trait. Sims with the Ancient Bloodline trait gain an additional talent point at each Spellcaster rank to spend towards perks. They also gain Spellcaster experience faster and reduce the chance of overloading by 50%.
The Magical Bloodline traits are a lovely rewarding addition to the pack and we’re sure it will come in handy for Legacy players too!

i’ve noticed a glitch with this when you max out your xp when you’re already virtuoso level! it’ll glitch out and make you a master again forever with a full xp bar never unlocking virtuoso again. it’s also hard to open your perks panel, and if you do the virtuoso rank perks are locked out again even if you purchased one previously.

to clarify, it only happens when you have any of the bloodline traits equipped
Ugh they jus can’t get it right huh josh
So here’s my question: Does that mean that every spellcaster automatically unlocks the Weak Bloodlines trait, because their parents weren’t spellcasters? Just a bit confused by that one.

I think it means their parent/s had no Bloodline trait but they still were Spellcaster/s. So the first Spellcaster in a family tree doesn’t get the trait, but their children do.

1st Gen: (out of CAS) no trait
2nd Gen: Weak Bloodline
3rd Gen: Strong Bloodline
4th Gen+: Ancient Bloodline
yep I know this but where do you find it on your sim.. how do you know what bloodline you have?

On the Simology, it should specify the bloodline trait that they’ll have.
I gave one of my sim’s an Ancient bloodline trait but she already has a child with the weak bloodline trait and I was wondering if there’s a way to change it??
