The Sims Team has released the official description and key features of their upcoming Game Pack – Star Wars: Journey to Batuu that’s coming to The Sims 4 September 8th, 2020 on all platforms!

The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu Description & Key Features

Check out what the pack will offer:

Experience the Edge of the Galaxy – The Sims™ 4 Star Wars™: Journey to Batuu is set on the remote planet of Batuu, inspired by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort® and Walt Disney World Resort®. Sims will be surrounded by the iconic sights and sounds of Star Wars including Stormtroopers, unique Batuuan attire, custom lightsabers, the bustling activity at the famous Oga’s Cantina, the interstellar hits of DJ R-3X and even the Millennium Falcon.

Create Your Star Wars Story – The Resistance, First Order, and scoundrels are fighting to control Batuu, and it’s up to players and their Sims to determine who will succeed. As Sims undertake challenges and special missions, they can gain (or lose) the trust of the affiliation of their choice, unlock rewards, equipment, new outfits and critical missions that will influence changes to the world and tip the balance of power.

Unite with Iconic Characters – Completing missions earns reputation points and helps them get closer to meeting the leaders of the forces on Batuu. Depending on the choices they make, Sims will unite with iconic Star Wars characters, including Rey and Vi Moradi (Resistance), Kylo Ren (First Order) or Hondo Ohnaka (scoundrels).

Create Your Own Lightsaber – Players will also get to explore Batuu and all it has to offer along their journey, including finding artifacts like kyber crystals and hilts to create the most coveted Star Wars artifact: a lightsaber. Once Sims collect enough pieces to construct a blade, they can build their fitness skill by training and go head to head against other Sims in lightsaber challenges.

Customize Your Droid Companion – Sims will also have a chance to visit the Droid Depot and customize their very own droid to help during missions. Droids are useful companions and can use their scanners on unknown crates, scramble control panels or distract rivals.

Bring Batuu Back Home – The fun doesn’t end on Batuu! When Sims return home, they can bring back new decor, recipes and artifacts inspired by their travels, including their lightsaber and droid, play a game of sabacc, or even host a playful lightsaber training session.

They better me updating the GTW aliens. I’m disappointed. It feels more like a money grab aimed at Star Wars fans than sims fans. I can clearly see there was a lot of time and effort put into this and would likely appreciate it more if I was a Star Wars fan but I’m not and I wished other ideas had gotten the green light instead. I feel that if certain things don’t return in TS4 before TS5 launches it will cause a lot of tension especially since a pack like this came out. Happy for anyone who will enjoy it but I just personally feel like this is too niche for a game pack.

I just want to know… why base it off the new star wars movies? The new ones are not as good as the older ones. This would be fantastic if it was based off the superior older ones.

EA is a joke. Why do this when you can play an actual Star Wars game? Tbh it would’ve been better if they did something original like Sims 3 into the future… not full on Star wars.

True Star Wars fan, love it all…but I am NOT excited about this game pack at all! I mean I can already dress as a Star Wars person (Darth Maul is my favorite) and like someone said, I can play a Star Wars game if I want more action. I will only buy if it is severely discounted, like 5 years from now!

Now I’m a Star Wars fan and I’m happy this is happening, but…

Did it have to be the sequels? Like, cmon, I don’t wanna ‘meet Rey’ I wanna meet Darth Vader. I completely understand that this probably is related to what EA has the rights to, but it’s just… Not being rude, but the first order instead of the empire…? Really? How could you do this to us?

The market for this pack is so tiny, because not only do you have to be a Star Wars fan, you have to like the sequels too, which a sizeable portion of us do not.

I agree and while I don’t know many female Star Wars fans, but is one myself (it explains the complete Star Wars collection I got, all on Blu-ray), I too would prefer the main story in the Star Wars series instead of the sequel

Yes exactly! Same! Why did they base it off the trash new movies?

Kids can use / practice with Lightsabers, yes!

(that is as much as there is in the way of Jedi training)

This is literally the pack that nobody in the Sims community was asking for.

It doesn’t look as bad as I was expecting. I’ll get probably get it only because what the modding community will be able to do with the lightsabers/blasters.

Absolutely, I totally agree with you. My question is when do we get expansion packs like, The mall, where you can buy and sells stores and the items within the store? When do we get a theme park sims where you can run your own themepark? When do we get a sims farming where we can actually interact with multiple animals from sheep to horses? When do we get expansion packs where we can build hotels or skyscrapers or buildings over 4 floors? When do we get round walls? There are so many other issues that need addressing. Why make a pack that such a small selection of people even like? What comes next? Are we to expect a Disney princess expansion pack? This is starting to turn into a joke and has me worried about the future of this game..
