The Sims Team has, during yesterday official Inside Maxis Livestream, shared details about the upcoming 24 hour feedback discussion on The Sims Forums.
This discussion, also known as Sims 411 will be open starting 6AM PST on August 19th, 2021. During this period you’ll be able to provide feedback on The Sims 4’s difficulty, challenge and depth and what you want to see improved and changed in those areas.
Here’s what they’ve stated:
We’ve heard from the community that you guys want a higher level of challenge and depth in the Base Game. Here’s the thing – we’d love to hear more about this. We want to know what you want to hear on a higher level of challenge and depth in the Base Game. What would that look like for you? What would you expect from it, how will this change your current experience in The Sims?
On August 19th starting at 6AM PST we’ll be welcoming your comments again during the 24 hours AMA on The Sims Forums. Closer to the date we’re gonna share a link to the forum we’re going to create. We hope you follow the guidelines and give us a lot of feedback.
We appreciate that you understand – this is not a whishlist for the content request; this is not a guarantee that we’ll create any of this. We’re looking for feedback so we can start ideating on this.
We’ll make sure to keep you posted as soon as the discussion opens up right here on Sims Community!
The game definitely needs more consequences for actions. Not just short term but also some long term effects. And traits should impact the intensity. Like ambitious and family orientated sims get a heavier buff from slacking off. Harder to make friends or romantic relationships if you don’t have boosts from traits because spamming interactions can progress things too quickly which is why I use a mod to make it harder. And the ability to kick an intrusive sim from a conversation. Lag in build/buy mode. Story progression and a few more traits from sims 3 would be nice but I think that falls under wishlist.

Yes! I think it’s kind of strange that when sims have an argument right after it they jump into a normal conversation like nothing happened. I’m looking for a more realistic transition.

When I said it seems like EA has let go of their grip they had on Maxis, the proof seems to keep coming. This will hopefully stack up to normal expectations
My thoughts too!
Yes to more depth. But, I wish they would fix all the little things first! So frustrating just trying to get sims to have a conversation with someone at a community type of lot. Locking doors for sims doesn’t seem to be working. So making it hard to play a duplex with two different families. My sims keep running outside during a storm when I’ve asked them to do something inside. The list goes on… This would make a world of difference to me, AND I would like to see more depth.. but without fixing those things, how would more depth even function in the game if we are constantly battling with annoying problems that shouldn’t exist.
what depth and challenge when they don’t add any, ts4 is literally like playing dolls with your niece
Career problems!
The game could use a better/more comfortable furniture. I know packs and kits have stuff like that, but the base game stuff sucks honestly. I also think it would be cool, since we have the pond tool, Maybe there could be bridges of sorts, that the sims could have a first kiss or propose.
Now onto my CAS suggestions. I think there should be more base game traits. I just think the game could have that extra personality and depth to make each sim unique. I went to mods for more traits, but I would LOVE it if more traits/asperations were added.
