A new hotfix patch for The Sims 4 has just been released.
There's a new The Sims 4 Update across PC, Mac and Console platforms Xbox and Playstation. The latest patch addresses several bugs and issues that players have reported. Here's to hoping that the Save Game corruption issue is finally a thing of the past in the new Sims 4 Update.

Installing the Latest Sims 4 Update
You can get the latest The Sims 4 Update on the following official launchers and platforms:
- PC: EA App, Origin, Steam, Epic Games
- Mac: Origin, Steam
- Playstation: PS4 and PS5
- Xbox: Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S
You can download the latest Sims 4 Update by checking for a Patch through the EA App, Steam or Epic Games launcher for Desktop. If you have Automatic Updates enabled the update will automatically download through your client program. In case your EA App is not working properly ensure you've cleared your app cache!
If you play The Sims 4 on Xbox Series X / S and Playstation 4 and 5 you can request a new update by checking for updates under The Sims 4 game in the Main Menu. If you've enabled automatic updates the Patch should download right away.
Unlike previous Content Updates, this one is not expected to automatically disable Mods / CC considering it's a hotfix without any new features.

Bug Fixes
Base Game / Multipack
- [EA Forums] Sims will now be paid hourly based on their Skill Level for offering Paid Mentoring, regardless of which packs you own.
- [EA Forums] The locked camera position has been removed from the Bracelet category of Accessories in Create a Sim, now you can zoom in and out with ease.
- We have advised the Burglar to avoid stealing certain objects which can't be added back into household inventories. Your toilet stalls (and more) are now safe from being irretrievably stolen.
Cats & Dogs / Horse Ranch
- The buttons to change position in Pelt Paint Mode for Cats, Dogs, and Horses are back. Your Pets can again strike a pose while you paint their harder-to-reach spots.
Businesses & Hobbies
- [EA Forums] Customer Sims will now water any plants which need watering when the "Tend Garden" or "Tend and Harvest Garden" Business Activities are set, even those which are placed in planters.
- [EA Forums] Employees will no longer remove paintings which are displayed on walls when the “Scrap Crafts” Employee Task is set.
- [EA Forums] Ghosts will no longer attend Small Businesses unless they are set as Preferred or Required customers under the Occult Target Customer category.
- [EA Forums] Fixed an issue where Group Meals were being listed for sale at the same price as Single Meals. The price for selling food on Retail Displays will now reflect the number of servings.
- The projections created by the "Skillful Sleep" Skill Mastery Perk have been instructed to get back to work building skills on appropriate objects.
- Fixed an issue where Classes set for employees on the Hobby Whiteboard were being reset after traveling, saving, or loading.
- Sims will no longer be able to enter a Small Business lot after closing time. They don't have to go home, but they can't stay here.
- Adjusted the cost to prepare and sell prices of some Candy Recipes to make them more profitable for sale on Retail Displays in Small Businesses.
- Tattoos that contain Custom Content now have the 'Modded' indicator in the in-game Gallery to prevent confusion.
- Pack Settings are now available for players who own only Base Game and Businesses & Hobbies, allowing you to Enable or Disable Small Business Events.
- Notifications about Inaccessible Ticket Kiosks will no longer trigger on lots which aren't assigned to the Small Business.
- Creating a Preset Small Business when buying a Small Business Venue will now show the correct Small Business name in all notifications.
- Fixed an issue where the Employee section of the Career Panel did not shrink down correctly when minimized.
- The source of the unexplained glowing lights around Nordhaven Train Station has been identified and contained.
- Fixed an issue with the Mikro's Ribbon Mic microphone stand disappearing when zooming out.
- Resolved an issue with a pair of trousers (ymBottom_EP18Chain) expanding in unexpected areas when the stomach body slider was adjusted.

I’m hoping the visual bug of weather indoors is finally fixed. Though I didn’t have it before the update that ‘fixed’ it.

When in business and hobbies, when you push for customers to tend to animals they more focus on the chickens. It kinda bugs me!
Anyone who bought businesses and hobbies have “community items” highlighted and won’t go away saying new items when you’ve cleared them all out in build mode? It’s driving me insane.
They need to fix the rain coming through the ceiling glitch tbh

I was just about to post the same thing. I love my sims games and have been playing since Sims 2 with my daughter, but I’ve had it with having to spend money on packs and then update after update that break all my mods & CC. I spend more time fixing my stuff than playing lately.

Can we please fix the nasty customers coming to small businesses? Fine, use the bathroom… but do not stand around for THREE HOURS with a green cloud. Most businesses have no reason to include a shower.
i have a bug with toddlers not being fed in highchairs the parent will put them in and the toddler will get picked up in the same second. the toddler just eats on the floor or couch now not a highchair
Can they fix the bug where sims can’t interact with same sex sims or themselves? My female sim can’t interact at all with her infant daughter… Only the husband can. It’s a bug that happens in all my saves and it is not an outdated mod, I’ve tried this without any mod in the Mods folder… My game now it’s nearly unplayable :(…
Placing merfolk families still causes the game to crash…..
The bug where sims go through doors that are specifically locked for them. Please fix that one! Drives me crazy everyone going into rooms they aren’t supposed to.
Says it fixed the watering for the customers, but did it fix the watering for the rest of the sims? And also Nectar selling for it’s ‘Not Aged Yet’ Price instead of the ‘Finely Aged’ price is also an annoying one.

It’s the fact we all know to expect bugs and crashes after each update/new release that annoys me the most and the it takes months to fix it

sims…ya’ll know you’re done right? you know how long it’s been that the restaurant pack doesn’t work and ya’ll have never addressed it. Smh watch INZOI blow sims out the water!
No one cares about your inefficient patch notes and wannabe bug fixes. You take our money and give very little when it comes to game play and running the game smoothly.
INZOI has what it takes to be the top number one life simulation game and the sims numbers will continue to decline. Just pack it up and collect what ever dignity you have left. Actually just pack it up.
I wish they would fix aspirations as they stop working when trying to compete them no mods or cc in my game it’s done when I get to the paint masterpiece 10 of them it doesn’t recognize it
Just got the new expansion and when I close my tattoo shop for the day, 2 people refuse to leave my house, even when I ask them to leave by saying ‘get lost’ they just stomp around my house… they won’t leave and sleep in my bed and eat my food!!!!
Also when I try and go to the eco expansion map and edit a lot, all of the background keeps glitching out, anyone else have this issue?!

This update broke my game! I cant place walls if i try it brakes the game and i cant save! Please fix this because all i found in this update was a unplayable game. Very dissatisfied.
So is the game corruption fixed or not? Because I see nothing about it in the patch notes and no acknowledgement. With an article saying it was supposed to be fixed from a couple weeks ago?
On the new business and hobbies my cafe randomly stopped getting customers. I tried logging out, selling the business and buying it back, and selling and having a child buy it back and still no customers after I earned 3 stars for perks
I’d love to be able to close my small business, I wish they would fix that.
my game has been broken since the update! One family I simply cannot access due to insane loading screens – and when I try to visit anyway loading screens persist. I have lots of memory and my game ran perfectly before the update!

Anytime I enter Build Mode after playing for a few Minutes it won’t let me save the Lot in Gallery nor can I save my Game at all it just get’s stuck on the save/loading Screen.
I tried everything I can think of..
removing Mods, playing in Vanilla,
to repairing- even starting a new Game… but it’s still happening.
I hope it will or can be fixed!
Why do I have to go to another site to get a patch it should come directly from EA. This is BS I am not going to buy anymore of these games. Ea is a disgrace all they do is concentrate on pushing LBGT S i T and Transgender crap. I have been buying this game Sims 1 and it has been come disgusting. Maybe when EA start concentrating on fixes other issues with the game I will buy again. Tired of this S hT!
I’ve had weird glitches lately that were never a problem before. One bug where people (not even invited into my Sims’ houses, and my Sims don’t even know them!) will get a glass of water, not drink it, and then leave.
My Sim with the neat trait gets agitated every time this happens, because it will spoil and leave a “filthy” moodlet. I’ll clean it up, clean everything in the house/apartment, and the moodlet persists.
Why? Can this bug be fixed, please? The game is good otherwise. Just annoying little bugs that make gameplay frustrating over time.
My cats won’t eat their food after getting this patch!
Does anyone notice the server error message appearing onscreen when I tried to save my created house lots to my personal gallery cause it’s pissing me off now that this goddamn burglar update has really f***ed everything up since two months ago. Prior to that February update, the gallery saving mode worked fine there until now. I don’t see how EA hides everything underneath the rug and doesn’t acknowledge those glitches immediately. Piece of shit.
