If you own The Sims 4 Base Game

Owners of The Sims 4 Base Game will be able to bundle up 1 Expansion Pack, 1 Game Pack and 1 Stuff Pack of their liking, giving them a discount of $20 on the total sum.

NOTE: You can ONLY build a bundle with 1 unique EP, GP or SP. You won’t be able to build an exclusive GP + SP, EP + GP or EP + SP bundle.

FOR EXAMPLE: You’ll be able to bundle up The Sims 4 Get Together, The Sims 4 Dine Out and The Sims 4 Movie Hangout. You WON’T be able to bundle up The Sims 4 Get Together and The Sims 4 Movie Hangout or vice versa with the Dine Out Game Pack because 3 unique Pack types are required to build a bundle.

If you own all The Sims 4 Packs

Sorry, there won’t be any opportunities for you. The ability to gift someone else a Custom Sims 4 Bundle is not available at the moment.

You can now have a Golden Bathroom in The Sims Mobile

10

The Sims Mobile’s latest update added a few more objects to the game which cannot be purchased directly from Build Mode.

You can find the 3 new golden bathroom items in the featured section of The Sims Mobile on the left side of the Simoleons status of your household. Here are the prices for each item:

  • Royal Flush Bathtub – 400 Super Home Tickets
  • Royal Flush Toilet – 125 Super Home Tickets
  • Royal Flush Vanity – 70 Super Home Tickets

After purchasing these items you’ll be able to find them in the Household Inventory in Build Mode. Make sure you take advantage of this offer because it only lasts for the next 7 days.

Here are the most (and least) favorite Expansion Packs for The Sims 4

Over the last 4 years we’ve got 4 different Expansion Packs for The Sims 4, with 2 Expansion Packs being released in 2015 (Get to Work & Get Together) and only 1 Expansion Pack being released per year (City Living in 2016 and Cats & Dogs in 2017). These Expansion Packs managed to add new and different experiences to the game – from becoming a top-class surgeon to taking care of pets that have a mind of their own.

We asked members of Sims Community Social to give their opinions and choose 1 Expansion Pack that they really like. Down below you can see the results from least favorite to most favorite Expansion Pack for The Sims 4.

This extremely blurry photo could be from the upcoming Sims 4 Pack

Hello and welcome to one of the biggest speculation games in the history of The Sims 4! Today we’re playing “Guess What’s In This Really Blurry Photo”

All jokes aside, it’s time to get speculating on what the photo shown down below could be about.

Voice-over artist Cia Court has been spending some time at The Sims Studio recently, probably working on the next Pack for The Sims 4. She shared a photo of her being in a booth recording during her session. At first, you don’t see much other than a developer editing Cia’s voice and a diagram drawn on the back.

But, look clooser…

THERE!

The photo pinned on the board shows a Sim holding up an object with a really vibrant background. Well, at least that’s what I see.

Whatever it is, it looks very Sims-like and could be a very blurry preview of the upcoming Pack for The Sims 4!

The Sims 4: Main Menu UI Concept

Back in May 2016 The Sims Team has been working on developing a new Main Menu User Interface for The Sims 4 (that you can see in the game as of right now). However, the User Interface went through a lot of suggestions and changes before it reached its final stage that we have today.

Check out the concept art piece that has been shared by SimGuruEmory!

A Modder is trying to add Dynamic Hair in The Sims 4

Dynamic hair has always been a complex part of animation in The Sims Franchise. The last time we’ve seen dynamic hair in The Sims was a subtle attempt to make the hair look more natural with head movements in The Sims 2.

YouTuber Merman Simmer has published a video a week ago, showcasing his current work-in-progress that he’s doing to make hairstyles in The Sims 4 more dynamic. As you can see in the video below, each hairstyle moves and responds to each move that the Sim makes, making the hairstyles look more natural.

We still don’t know if this is going to be something that’ll be released for the public, but we’re surely hoping so!

SimGuruGraham Talks about the current silence and the future of The Sims on PC

SimGuruGraham has shared more information about what’s been going on at The Sims Team recently following the latest speculation that several Maxis veterans were laid off and the unconfirmed rumors that The Sims 4 PC Team is switching over to Mobile.

SimGuruGraham Talks about the current silence and the future of The Sims on PC

Hey all, I know many of you in the community have been hungry for an update. I want to offer the extent of what I can say currently, to help put some of you at ease in this quieter period of time.

I think the last official news you’ve seen about what’s on the horizon was regarding EA Play in June, where the next Sims 4 experience will be on-hand and playable. It’s important to reaffirm that this still holds true. Members of the Sims 4 Console and Sims Mobile teams have already confirmed that they’ll be attending… let me add to that and say that yes, members of The Sims 4 PC team will be at EA Play as well (sorry, that doesn’t include me this year!) Rest assured that The Sims on PC is doing very well, continues to be a top priority within Maxis, and it isn’t going anywhere.

So… you might be wondering why I’m sharing this, and why now? Murmurs of the SimGurus on the PC team being quieter than normal haven’t fallen on deaf ears. Those of you active in online Sims’ communities likely know that SimGuruDrake, our former PC community manager, chose to leave and pursue other opportunities recently. As game developers, we’re given a ton of freedom to go out and discuss many aspects of our jobs and The Sims from our personal point of view. Because of that, it’s important that we have someone in our CM role to help look out for us devs, and moderate tough discussions. They’re also on the frontline of sharing official statements from the studio. In light of that, us SimGurus on the PC team have been asked to exercise additional careful judgment in what we say until that CM role is filled.

Yesterday, we had a studio wide meeting (nothing unusual, just something we do every few months so our studio leadership has a chance to speak with us all as a group.) Being someone that tries to stay active and involved with this Sims community, I raised a question about how we haven’t been as forthcoming recently without a CM to mediate public discussions, and how that’s resulted in general unrest amongst you. What was expressed to me was that, while we aren’t going to discuss or refute rumors and speculation point for point (which I’d really suggest approaching with a healthy dose of skepticism), it’s totally fine to reiterate publicly shared info that yes, The Sims 4 continues to be a genuine success, and there’s plenty to look forward to on the PC in the future.

So, that’s what I’m here doing… This isn’t intended to be me speaking on behalf of the studio, it’s just sharing my perspective on how things currently stand. I don’t assume to speak collectively for the group, but I know many of us who volunteer to be SimGurus want to reach out when we see your concerns. Hopefully you’ll understand if this post doesn’t lead to me answering a bunch of topical questions; it wouldn’t be appropriate for someone in my role to do so. Here’s looking forward to us hiring a CM for this PC community so that everyone gets comfy chatting again!

The Sims Mobile: Issue with time not passing away and how to fix it

Plenty of Simmers, us included, are experiencing a weird issue in The Sims Mobile where the time won’t pass for events after closing the app.

For example, I gave my Sims some events to finish before going to bed. After checking the app in the morning I noticed that the energy bar hasn’t been refilled and that all of the events I gave my Sims to complete haven’t progressed even one bit. On top of all that the ASOS Fashion Events unlock period seemed to be doubled down, leaving me to wait more than 10 hours for the ASOS Marketing Campaign Pitch Event to be unlocked, among other events which were doubled in waiting times.

The Sims Mobile: Issue with time not passing away and how to fix it

However, there is a temporary solution to this problem. Here’s how you can solve it on both Android and iOS:

Android

Go to App Settings, find The Sims Mobile and select the Force Stop option to end all background actions ran by The Sims Mobile. Opening The Sims Mobile again after doing this will result in time going back to normal.

You can also stop the application process by going into the recently opened apps menu and swiping The Sims Mobile left / right.

iOS

For iOS devices just double click on the home button, find The Sims Mobile app (if you’ve recently used it) and swipe up to close it completely.

The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection has received a Small Update on Origin

14

If you have The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection in your Origin Library then you’ve probably noticed that there’s been a small update for the game.

According to a Reddit member wallewatz, the update was released to further improve the stability of the game for people running the game on the Windows 10 operating system.

The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection was temporarily released for free in July 2014 as a part of a special Origin promotion. Even though the game was available to be claimed for only a week, people are reporting to this day that they’re able to get the game completely free of charge from EA Customer Support.

Multiple Packs have been registered for The Sims 4 Console

Other than the new registration of The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs for Xbox One and PS4 on the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), there seems to be a few more packs which have just been registered on the website for The Sims 4 Console, and those include:

  • The Sims 4 Kids Room Stuff Pack
  • The Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack
  • The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack

Multiple Packs have been registered for The Sims 4 Console

ESRB also has registered The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff Pack for Xbox One and PS4 – but way back in September 2017.

The fact that these 3 various Packs have been registered on ESRB at the same time could mean that The Sims Team is preparing their 3rd Pack Bundle for The Sims 4 Console. Considering that the first bundle focuses on nightlife and that the second bundle focuses on running a business, it could mean that the third bundle for The Sims 4 Console will focus solely on the family aspect, judging by the packs that have just been registered.

SPECULATION: Fresh Concept Art of The Sims 4 CAS has surfaced, showing New Tools & Assets

24

Please note that this post is pure speculation until proven otherwise!

Alfredo Hernandez, one of the UI Artists and Designers working at Electronic Arts has published an interesting Concept Art piece featuring some never-before-seen tools and assets in Create A Sim.

The image shared by Alfredo on his portfolio features a mockup UI with some new assets and features including the Import File, Soundtrack and Share options, as well as tattoos which never surfaced in The Sims 4 to this date. The hairstyle that’s being rocked by the Sim below also seems to have suffered a minor change.

SPECULATION: Fresh Concept Art of The Sims 4 CAS has surfaced, showing New Tools & Assets

I would’ve treated this as an old concept art piece, but given the fact that it features new assets and also an icon in the user interface next to the EA logo which is a symbol of faction rallies in Destiny 2 (a game launched just a few months ago) I have a reason to believe that this concept was created just recently.

The user interface could just be a mockup since it’s completely redesigned, but the entire concept art could serve a purpose to show how the possible new tools could function in the game.

Personally I’m completely confused by this concept art piece and I hope we get more clarification soon.

The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs has been registered for Xbox One & PS4

The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack has just been registered on the official website of Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) for Xbox One and PS4 gaming consoles.

The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs has been registered for Xbox One & PS4

This means that the release of this Expansion Pack for The Sims 4 on Consoles probably isn’t far off. This is the first time an Expansion Pack has been rated in advance for The Sims 4 for Xbox One and PS4, meaning that The Sims Team is getting ready to announce and release the pack for consoles soon.

SimGuruDuke, one of the developers who worked on The Sims 4 Console also confirmed that he’ll be attending EA Play this June, meaning that there could be an announcement of Cats & Dogs coming to Consoles during the event.
