Your Sims can now capture any picture around them (in their head of course) and Paint it on the Easel!
Once you reach the 3rd Painting Skill Level, you’re able to Paint from Reference. Click on the Easel, select that feature and move the camera around to pick your best scene to paint.
There’s also a new feature that allows you to create a Copy of your painted work. Each Copy costs the amount of how much that painting is worth.

This is amazing…I want to write more, but I am in awe. One question, is there a way to enhance the image quality of the paintings? All my SIMS are ‘Pro’ artists.

I don’t think there’s a way to improve the quality of painted images.
That’s great, if the people you want to paint are not infront of the easel (you cannot see past the canvas, which frankly makes every easel placement in windenburg totally pointless) Or they walk off while your painter sim ponders life for 10 minutes (no ability to play or pause once in that mode. Just attempt, after attempt at a single, decent picture, which usually ends with them in the worst moods after so long faffing about and walking in circles. These sims are hopelessly stupid.

That careless Windenburg Canvas “glitch” has been giving me sleepless nights and a total loss of hope in mankind. Only so often can I enjoy the irony of a dada-istic painting of a blank canvas. Or is it us mere mortals, the player, who needs to start seeing through and beyond the canvas? Aren’ we all sometimes the canvas? … I just wanted to paint that damn pond and maybe add some happy accidents here and there. I can CAS-paint the Mona Lisa on my dog but fail to capture the nostalgic warmth of a warm summer night at the Hare Square through an artistic rendering of a pixely pond:(
So, when will we get the ability to paint painting from our own gifs or jpgs?
pause and play feature would be nice 🙂 can make moving art on your walls.
I opened this option and it glitched my unsvaed game… I can’t take a screenshot and there’s no x button to exit the action either.
