This is the most disappointing thing I’ve ever seen from the sims 4 and I own every single pack. First the two new hobbies then the world being another fisherman town that nobody asked for and then this.. we have all of this cas/build already minus like 3 things???? Like love the fireplace but what is going onnnnnn

“Fisherman town”. How to say you’re an American without saying you’re one. You clearly don’t know about the charms Amsterdam has and actually a LOT of us European simmers are THRILLED with it.

I think some of it is I have most of the games so I know that a lot is a redo. Even if it isn’t the objects and clothes are not worth the price. The new EP is based on the Tattoo S h i t with some previous hobbies thrown in. I know because I have been playing Sims since Sims 1.

i’m disappointed with the lack of new hobbies too but there’s nothing wrong with northeastern european architecture no need to insult them

Are they serious? If you don’t have get to work and you don’t get the pre-order bonus items, you don’t get a refrigerated display case for food? They are using cross pack compatibility as a main feature, but they prevent you from fully enjoying base game hobbies like baking? I know you can still sell food if you put them on a shelf but that completely breaks the immersion.

Yes the one you mention can be seen in the trailer at 0:14, like I said it can be used to sell goods, but this is not what you would find in a bakery in the Netherlands. In Europe you will find the baked goods in display cases resembling the one that comes with the bonus items. All it took was for them to make it a permanent item and not hide it behind a marketing strategy forcing us to pay full price on release. If you don’t have GTW and get this pack for Christmas you will have a game that allows you to bake goods, open your own bakery, in a world inspired by the Netherlands, but yet you won’t be able to build a bakery that looks like the ones you can actually find in the Netherlands. It’s either lazy or greedy.

Hmm i do get you point. Buttt i am also from the Netherlands, and the bakery in my street does in fact has a display case just like the one that comes with the pack. Mut yeah i do understand. More versatile options would be better.

I know we’ve seen this stuff in previous packs
But I’ll be honest, I love these items. The combination of a more clasical style and the modern style in Build/Buy is great, besides, most business places nowadays go for a modern style, so it helps for most stuff. I’m expecting every single wood swatch in this to match, because there’s so much wood items in here. And those fairy lights!
Also, the CAS? Great. I’ve seen plenty of clothes like that IRL. They’re very nice and versatile.

What stuff exactly have you already seen? I own every pack. Down to the kits and this is not stuff thats already in the game. Just because we already have furniture and decor doesnt mean its the same.

The majority of this is already in the game, just maybe different color ways. This is usually how every pack is though. The only clothing I can see I like is that there’s a different beanie that actually comes down over the head lol

I mean I can see some stuff that looks similar to stuff already in the game and in other packs (like some of the windows, for example), but the meshes are not the same.

There are some nice hairstyles and some nice clothes, but I’ll be clear, when you put hobbies to sell an extension and there are none, I’m talking about new ones without being paid, what I had the right to expect from an extension that mixes business and pastimes, it’s misleading, with a botched world with only 2 districts and frankly not pretty at all, it’s just to justify the 40 dollars, I will not buy this extension, it’s the one that disappoints me the most of all the sims 4 extensions.

This is so disappointing. This whole pack could’ve been given in Get To Work. They could’ve revamped the older pack. These ideas came out in the early 2000s with the Sims 2, and the CAS is underwhelming…

I wholeheartedly disagree with revamping. First off, Get To work is 10 years old and WILDLY outdated. It would’ve been way too much work to try and update crappy models and the horrible world for it to meet today’s standards AND still include all of its original material for pre existing builds & sims. Second, this is a completely diff pack. Get To Work focuses on active careers; doctors, scientists, aliens, etc. The selling portion is, by design, a minimal feature and only focuses on retail merchandise. If this new pack where to be a revamp, say goodbye to the hobbies and the prospect of running a unique small business. Now it has to make space for aliens. The whole point is that sims now have the freedom to profit off of whatever they want. Get To Work will never really allow for that. But I agree with everything else tho, I’m not a fan of cas either!

I am amongst one of the many who have been waiting for the features coming with this EP! I enjoyed the reveal trailer and was so excited to see the items for CAS. However, I’m a little disappointed in the option given for the, once again, only afro textured hairstyle.

I’m let down by peoles comments. Really you want The Sims Team to modify and improve the game by coming up with ways to make it better…they spend hours doing this and you expect it to be a free upgrade. That’s just nuts. Do I think they are just improving on a few old packs. Yes. But this pack is giving you so many more options that weren’t available before. Own a bowling alley or movie theater and charge customers. And pay for it! They are giving you hundreds of hours of entertainment for what it costs these days for two people to go to a two hour movie these days. Grow up and stop complaining. If you don’t like it don’t buy it! Simple really!

I completely agree. I don’t know about other countries, but $40 is the price of a meal here. For the price of a meal, you can enjoy a new system. This system will allow for creative business expansion and new types of gameplay. (Of course, there will be some glitch..) I’m so tired of people constantly demanding everything for free.

$40 for a single meal?? You’re telling me you spend $3,600 a month just on food? If you can afford that you’re not the average person, sorry to tell you.

Is it that we want free stuff, or the fact that the price is 2/3rds of the the cost of BG3 for one expansion pack. Let’s say that again. One expansion pack with very limited (most likely buggy content) is 2/3rds the price of an entire game that is releasing a FREE patch which adds entire new classes and core gameplay. I’m sorry but that expansion money isn’t going into the creator’s pockets.

Does anyone see the skeleton hand tattoo that I saw in the trailer that the female tattoo artist was wearing? I was looking forward to that tattoo and can’t find it anywhere in the CAS photos…?

I think this is a terrible pack I could have thought of a million things to base an EP on. Most of the objects are lack luster and I could care less about tattoos not my thing. Why not give us a travel pack like they did in Sims 3. Seems like EA is just remaking all the previous Sims nothing new here. Yes most of the pack is stuff we already have and the clothes are terrible! I just bought the style pack and the cloths were great! Where is the designer who designed them?

I had really hoped that this would be the pack that added new instruments, namely anything other than string instruments. Because that is just glaring oversight
