In a series of mysterious signs and e-mails we’ve gotten over the last few months, the e-mail we received today really stands out and contains not only a cryptic message with only 4 bullet points but also a render that looks pretty legit. Here’s what it’s all about:
An anonymous sender sent an e-mail to us with a subject titled ‘‘City Life”, only including the snippet of a render down below and a list of features that seem to be related to a leak that recently surfaced related to The Sims 4 City Life being the 3rd Expansion pack:
Down below you can see the potential EP3 render screen, which kinda seems to be scanned from a printed piece of paper. It also has a potential of being a render of City Life’s box art.
– Apartments
– Basketball
– City Cultural Festivals
– Politics Career
The e-mail was sent to us by an unknown person who presented himself/herself as ”Sim Nonymous”.
In case you don’t know, just 2 weeks ago a listing for The Sims 4 City Life surfaced on an official rating board in Brazil.
For now, this ”finding” is classified as an unconfirmed rumor until proven otherwise. Still, look at that beautiful render!

Yeah, but Sims Vip won’t post anything without EA’s permission. This might be a real leak, not prepared by the EA’s PR department.
@Necromancer: I use to work at SimsVIP however things didn’t end well because Alexis is over paranoid about certain things… Anyway; I know that Alexis only posts something that is official or at least is from a verified source. There is a chance this render is real, but it might not be.

Well its impossible to verify Sim Nonymous (btw. fake or not – excellent name! Made my day no matter wheter what he/she wrote is real or not) so it is understood that this won’t be posted on SimsVIP.
Of course she won’t, she’s so far up the Gurus backside she wouldn’t do anything to affect that, after all if she leaks anything she might not be invited to the next event. Real sell out, it’s why I never use that website anymore.
That must be horrible… If I had to keep quiet always and not give information if the gurus don’t want to, I wouldn’t even want to have a website for the sims.
SimsVIP used to be decent, now she’s just a pawn and your right it would be awful, the point of a new website is to provide news, this is news, yet it’s being ignored because she won’t risk her ties with the sims team.
Lol same as the backyard stuff teaser, a lot of people assume the teaser is a fake and badly photoshop. This is pretty much the real deal.
Even if is fake, this website will be my source for sims news from now on. Simsvip is too much under EA control… and this is the kind of news fans wants #prayforleaks
She has also gotten a lot more greedy over ads on her site. Back when I started working there we had a header ad and a sidebar ad… Now on mobile when you visit the site you get an annoying popup ad. Also she blocked my disqus account and IP address simply because she disagreed with what I had to say.

Not counting 2014 as base game released that year, I’m guessing that it will be a 2-1-2-1-2 cycle, 2015 – 2 EP’s, 2016 – 1 EP, 2017 – 2 EP’s, 2018 – 1 EP and finally 2019 – 2 EP’s. This means that by the end there will be 8 expansion packs which sounds plausible to me, that along with plenty of stuff packs and game packs sounds good to me.
That’s actually what I was thinking too.

While I’m also skeptical, that render actually looks kinda legit. I really do hope they announce something already this week. Although, if they’re gonna announce this this month, hopefully it won’t take as long to release as previous EPs. I’m crossing my fingers for an October release.

I’m very excited it reminds me of The Urbz sims in the city for some reason with it’s cultural thing except not on a skyline. I really wish they’d add pool tables though.
All I know is…if the Politics Career is not active…I’m going to VERY disappointed.

I’m actually really excited. I’ve been wanting this since Get To Work. I think that since apartments are a type of dwelling besides a house that a city area should just come with the base game. I also always was frustrated about the fake skyscrapers in Newcrest because they’re like a tease and I have been working on one that is an apartment building for a long time now. I am trying my best to make it feel like a legitimate luxury high-rise apartment building, and the outside actually matches the façade skyscrapers almost exactly. I’ve taken a break from it but I need to get back to slaving and hopefully it will be finished soon. I’ve been in the metropolitan mood so this EP is much appreciated!
