Krizia Bajos, one of the voice actors actively working on The Sims 4 series has archived a huge series of Instagram Stories on her profile. Over the last 2 months Krizia and Scott Whytewere actively recording new vocals for The Sims 4’s upcoming content that’s yet to be announced and released.
In the video above you can see more than 4 minutes of snippets and even some simlish teasers featured in yet to be released content for The Sims 4. There’s a snippet featuring a whole spreadsheet of Simlish words:
There’s also an interesting scene where you can see a small glipse of a new animation being shown on the screen:
It’s hard to tell what the new content is all about considering that Simlish is a made up language that basically has an unlimited amount of words that can be added to its vocabulary. Still, it’s really interesting to see the first teasers of what’s to come to The Sims 4!
Scott Whyte, one of the several voice actors working for The Sims 4 has posted a picture on his Instagram account with a very interesting caption. In the picture below he can be seen with another voice actor Krizia Bajos who’s also been a voice actor for the game since its initial launch.
In his caption he stated that Krizia and himself are being filmed by a CNN for an upcoming special on giving voice overs for The Sims 4. He also stated that, even though he’s been working on the game for 5 years he’s still just getting warmed up.
As a cherry on top he released a statement that he cannot wait for The Sims 4’s upcoming game patch to drop.
What’s it like working on #sims4 with @kritzer while being filmed by @cnn crew for a special on voicing this amazing game??? Well, kinda exactly like this!!!! 5 years on this game and we’re just getting warmed up, can’t wait for this new game patch to drop!!!! #sims#ea#playwithlife#itsinthegame#voiceactor#dayjob#ilovemyjob people have been writing asking, well now finally you’ll see a bit of the behind the scenes!
In case you don’t know SimGuruKate issued a statement that she’ll be teasing the upcoming free update for The Sims 4 during the Maxis Monthly livestream on October 2nd, which we can expect to be released sometime in October.
The news drought for The Sims 4 seems to finally be coming to an end. With The Sims 4 getting its own televised special for CNN the upcoming content for The Sims 4 must be huge.
We’re finally living in an era when we get to know that something fun and free is coming to The Sims 4 Base Game. SimGuruKate’s latest announcement that October’s going to bring fun free stuff to The Sims 4 left plenty of room for speculation on what the next update could be.
Considering that The Sims 4 is great but still has plenty of room for improvement we asked the community on Twitter about what they’re hoping that The Sims 4’s next update will bring. Simmers had a lot to say about what they want to see in The Sims 4 added for free, but considering that there’s been plenty of replies asking for content that’s been treated as “premium” in the past (Witches, Mermaids, Farming etc) we’ve sorted through the replies asking for more simple stuff that the Base Game is currently missing. Here’s what they said:
More hair colors, more makeup options, nail color, bunk beds, zodiacs, cops and firefighters, burglars, oh and please bring back the laptops and random seeds laying around the map. Some new careers too! As well, exercising in front of tv! Lol okay I should stop.. oh and cars.
There is a lot of things i want to see, mostly things from past games. I would like to have something to make Sims more individual (zodiac signs, favorite color, favorite food, something like that) and also some new gameplay features (cars, new skills, etc.).
Definitely more traits would be nice. Also, more careers would be great too. They don’t have to be in “Get to Work” style, but I do like the Work from home option. More careers like that please!
Yes! Not only it gives the info when the sim was born but also kinda determines their personality. Kinda wish though those weren’t the regular ones like Virgo or Leo but the Sims version 😊
I would like more plants and let all of them grow at the same time again and be able to take care up them like before. Strollers also! MORE Toddlers hair styles that are like how they really are.
Fully expecting more holiday-themed stuff. I know, I know, we just got Seasons, but in the spirit of Diwali last year, maybe other items from other traditions across the world?
Swimming in the ocean please!
Doesn’t have to be deep sea diving, just swimming like in a pool but instead it’s in the lakes and oceans in all the worlds!

SimGuruKate has just confirmed The Sims Team’s first ever Maxis Monthly Livestream. So, what can you expect from this Livestream? Here’s a rundown that SimGuruKate provided a few weeks ago:
We will be launching a new monthly series called Maxis Monthly. Each month, on a set day/time, you’ll be able to tune in for an hour “talk show” hosted by me! During this hour we will recap what happened in The Sims over the previous month, host interviews with members of the Dev. Team (learn a little more about their job and what they do), showcase cool community creations, and even give a peak at what will be coming in the next month.
In her latest tweet Kate confirmed that the Maxis Monthly livestream will last for 30 minutes instead of an hour. However, the stream will contain valuable information about the upcoming content for The Sims 4. Here’s what she said:
We’ve officially scheduled the first Maxis Monthly! Join us on October 2nd as we chat all things Maxis. And yes, we will be teasing at some upcoming content. And ooh, it’s good. One thing to note is that rather than one hour, we’ve scheduled 30 minutes. https://t.co/FwVKBUhCmj

You don’t often see producers being completely honest about the games they’ve worked on, let alone confess that what they were working on looks bad.
Well, that changed with one simple tweet by Grant Rodiek, a producer currently working on The Sims 4. He replied to a question on Twitter which asked Grant about his personal preference between “realism” which was approached with The Sims 3 or “cartoony” which was introduced with The Sims 4. Without hesitation Grant tweeted out the fact that The Sims 3 “looks really bad” and that The Sims 4 looks so much better.
In case you don’t know Grant Rodiek worked on The Sims 3 since it’s first days of production back in 2005. He also worked on several Expansion Packs which were released for The Sims 3.
He additionally confirmed that he is indeed dragging The Sims 3’s visuals and that The Sims Team has done a much better job for The Sims 4.
The Sims 3’s visuals? Sure! We did such a better job on TS4. I can be a boring spokesperson if you prefer. 😁 https://t.co/sxbFkIUBd6
The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 both have a completely different approach when it comes to visual identity and art style and we definitely don’t want to open up an argument on which game wins at which aspect and feature. Still, it’s pretty interesting to see a confession like this about the game we’ve (probably) all played for so long…
SimGuruKate has just released a statement on Twitter saying that The Sims Team won’t be having any patches / updates coming in September 2018. However, she made a very interesting statement where she pointed out two things:
First of all, she confirmed that there’s going to be a new content update coming in October. Although she hasn’t said what it is she did tease that it’s going to be “Fun Free Stuff”.
Second, she included a statement that there’s going to be some other new content coming this year. SimGuruKate didn’t mention what it is but we can assume that it’s going to be a new Expansion, Game or a Stuff Pack.
Hello SimFam! Just a quick update that we will not be releasing a patch/update this month as we are focused on some really fun free stuff for October (assuming no last minute issues arise) and a future release for this calendar year. Stay tuned…
We can tease and speculate what this is all about but one thing’s for certain: there’s going to be a whole free new content update for The Sims 4 in just a few more weeks and new paid content this year!
Simmers, start your engines, and may the best speculation about the upcoming content win!
The Sims Team has just published a teaser tweet with a .gif of The Sims 4 Spooky Stuff Pack with Halloween-themed emojis and a console controller with the word “Soon.”
Considering that both The Sims 4 Spooky Stuff Pack and The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack have been added as pack filterswith the latest Console update it seems like this teaser is going to be related to the announcement of Spooky Stuff coming to consoles.
Of course, we’ll post more information about this as it becomes available.
SimGuruGrant has started another Q&A session today on twitter answering questions about The Sims, its development and usually stating that he can’t talk about future content.
Grant answered a question asking what are some of his favorite worlds in The Sims 4 so far. He answered with Windenburg, San Myshuno and “some of the ones in progress”.
I love the ruins in Windenburg. San Myshuno is 🔥🔥🔥. Also, some of the ones in progress 🤫 https://t.co/q60nqmFBnI
This isn’t really a groundbreaking news article considering that The Sims Team has already confirmed that they plan to deliver new content for The Sims 4 for at least the next 3 years. We’ll just have to wait and see which packs and worlds they’ll have to offer during that period…

This listing is also really important as it talks about creating a whole new vision in the game and creating new environments from scratch. Here’s all the important things mentioned in this listing:

The day has finally come where we get to speculate about a new Sims title!
Electronic Arts regularly updates their EA Careers website with all the latest job offers that they have and talent that they’re looking for. A few weeks ago the website got updated with loads of new positions. Some of these job positions are very interesting and contain information that very much hint at the development of the new Sims title. Here’s all the positions listed on the website which contain this sort of information:
Executive Producer / Game GM
Gameplay Software Engineer
Software Engineer (Temporary)
Character Modeler
Why are these roles so important? Let’s break down each one and see why they’re hinting towards the production of a new Sims title:
Executive Producer
In case you don’t know The Sims 4 already has its own Executive Producer (SimGuruLyndsay) therefore this makes this listing a lot more interesting. The details that have been mentioned in this job listing confirm the fact that Maxis is looking for a person who can lead their new project. Here are all the interesting facts from this listing:
The Executive Producer will be both the creative ambassador, and the person who builds and motivates the team, while partnering within all of Studio leadership to accomplish the goal of shipping a high quality, hugely entertaining title on time and on budget.

Check out the full listing here!
Gameplay Software Engineer (Both Roles)
This listing takes things to a whole new level and proves that EA is looking for someone who can “architect, implement, and maintain user-facing content for The Sims”.
There are several examples and responsibilities provided in this listing.
As a Software Engineer on The Sims, your job will be to architect, implement, and maintain user-facing content for the Sims using Python and C++.
Job Responsibilities:
Implementing gameplay systems written in Python and C++ that are data driven.:
Sim behaviors: interaction with the world, other Sims, and objects (how would a Flirty Sim behave differently in a pool club versus a bar).
Ability to build creative real life archetypes within a simulation game (e.g. romance, careers, postures).
Runtime optimization for performance and memory usage (scaling a simulation engine to include all aspects of human life).
Work with the team on continuous improvement of the data driven framework that brings designs to life.
Write software requirement and technical design documentation.
Work with franchise leaders to continue building unique content for a game that delivers to a large demographic of simulation player patterns.
Check out the full listing here & here!
Why is this listing so interesting? Well, for starters, they’ve mentioned different Sim behaviours and situations, as well as interactions with other Sims and objects. Why would Maxis be on a lookout for someone to implement a gameplay system for situations that are already present in The Sims 4 unless they’re working on something…entirely new.
The listing also mentions creating real life archetypes and types of people inside a simulation game. In case you don’t know, the early days of The Sims 4 was also a massive portrayal of the new system, game engine and the game concept through different personas and archetypes. Just check out some of the concept arts that have been made during the very early days of The Sims 4:
This job listing is the most interesting one as it confirms several things and that’s the fact that Maxis is working on “an exciting new game in The Sims Franchise” and that this game’s team is small at the moment but is growing rapidly. Both The Sims 4 and The Sims Mobile teams have a lot of people working on the game behind the scenes which only means that there’s a third new Sims project currently in development.
The listing mentions this:
Maxis is looking for an Character Modeler for an exciting new game in the best-selling Sims franchise. Do you have excellent modeling and texturing abilities for games? Do you have a passion for creating real-world fashion in a 3D game? Are you able to take direction but work independently when needed to make the best games you possibly can?
If so, then we may have a job for you. We’re a small team now and are growing rapidly. Apply today and join us!
Responsibilities
Create, model, UV, and texture fashion assets such as t-shirts, jeans, jackets, shoes, etc. in a realistic style to a high level of aesthetic quality.
Participate in meetings with producers, designers, engineers and animators to understand the functional requirements and constraints of characters and how they need to be created.
Participate in reviews with the Art Director to improve aesthetic consistency and overall look.
Should be knowledgeable and comfortable in the creation and use of normal maps, specular maps, and generating AO maps.
Trouble shoot and problem solve assets that are not functioning properly in game. Coordinate with animators and engineers to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Provide project management team with accurate estimates for scheduling work and deadlines
Be able to come up with concepts and provide basic concept art for some fashion in conjunction with the Art Director.
Things that we bolded above mention an interesting fact which never has been mentioned before in any listing for The Sims 4, and that’s the fact that Maxis is looking for “a realistic style to a high level of aesthetic quality”. This time around Maxis is shooting for realism for the next Sims title with unique, high quality aesthetics.
Usually with The Sims 4 job listings you would see a responsibility asking you to accomodate to a unique art style that’s already present. But this, this is something entirely different.
So, what is the next The Sims title about? It’s too early to tell. As mentioned in the last listing the team for this new The Sims project is still small (although rapidly expanding) and it could take some time before this project sees the light of day.
The Sims 3 started with production in 2005 and got announced in 2008, while The Sims 4 started with production in 2008 and got announced in 2013. This doesn’t mean that this Sims project is a sequel (and it also doesn’t mean that it isn’t) but it could definitely take a while until this new Sims game gets developed, published and released to the world.
Whit Brachna, one of the concept artists who worked for Electronic Arts and The Sims 4 in its early days has published a concept art piece titled “Snoot Heights”.
This world with entirely new surroundings never-before seen in The Sims 4 such as the ice cream truck, a lawn mower, different terrain levels and more that you can see below:
Considering that this Concept Art contains a Sim at the entrance of the main home that’s been used for the very early days of concept art exploration it means that this concept art piece comes from the first stages of The Sims 4 development and exploration.
