Sims 4 Random Number Generator: Transform Boring Gameplay!

0

Bored? Try a Sims 4 random number generator! There’s no question that over the past decade, The Sims 4 has offered plenty of new experiences through base game updates and DLC packs but even the most creative Simmers can still sometimes find themselves bored. As humans, we tend to stick to what we know and play the same types of storylines over and over again. I’ve totally been there, too!

Tired of playing the same storylines over and over? Add an element of randomness!

But this kind of repetitive play can lead to serious burnout. And the worst part? All that money you’ve spent on DLC packs is going to waste because you’re not exploring enough and utilizing all the features those packs have to offer. It can be hard to break out of that cycle, though, which is where a random number generator can help!

The Sims 4 Random Number Generator

Sims 4 random number generator
Hm, what should we do in The Sims 4 today? Let a random number generator decide!

So how does using a Sims 4 random number generator help make your game more exciting? Well, the possibilities are almost limitless, but to understand how to use this tool to improve your gameplay, you first need to know what number generators are and how they work. Then you can apply them to almost anything you want!

What are Random Number Generators?

THESIMS4GETTOWORK
Random number generators are super scientific, yet super simple at the same time!

Random number generators (or RNGs) are computerized algorithms that create numbers which lack any kind of pattern or predictability. Essentially, these algorithms spit out random numbers, which can be used for a variety of different purposes, including gaming. If that sounds confusing, all you really need to know is that RNGs are basically a calculator designed to spit out random numbers.

So what’s the point of this? Well, for Simmers specifically, these random numbers can be used to dictate how you play your Sims 4 game. You can do this in a nearly infinite amount of ways, but the gist is that you assign certain game outcomes to a set of numbers and whichever number the RNG spits out is the outcome you choose in your game. Playing The Sims 4 this way can help break you out of a boring cycle of predictability and force you to do things in the game you wouldn’t ordinarily do.

How to Apply RNGs to The Sims 4

For the sake of this article, we’re going to call the RNG a Sims 4 random number generator, but just know that random number generators can be used for any game and many purposes outside of gaming, not just The Sims 4.

TS4DU Gameplay Trailer 158
Let a computer make random choices for your gameplay!

We talked a bit about how to apply the Sims 4 random number generator to your game by assigning certain outcomes to a number and then choosing the outcome that corresponds to the number the generator gives you. Now we’re going to break that down into more detail.

  • Step 1: Search online for a random number generator to bring up many different online number generators that are free to use. We’ll also list some number generators we like later on in this article.
  • Step 2: Put in the range of numbers you want the Sims 4 random number generator to pull from. For example, you can tell it to select a number between 1 and 10.
  • Step 3: Make sure you have assigned some sort of outcome to each number. For example, you could assign different story options to each number. Maybe 1 means your Sim will focus on a party lifestyle, 2 means they’ll focus on their career, 3 means they’ll live a family life with a spouse and kids, etc. The options are endless. To shake things up, you can ask the Sims 4 random number generator to spit out multiple numbers, which could make things extra interesting. It would certainly be a fun challenge if it spat out 1 and 3 and your Sim ended up trying to balance a family with a party lifestyle, wouldn’t it?
  • Step 4: Tell it to generate a number (or a set of numbers). Then play your game according to the outcomes you previously assigned to those numbers.

You can use a Sims 4 random number generator like a choose your own adventure novel. Anytime your Sim is at a crossroads where they have to make a decision about something, you can turn to the RNG to make that decision for your Sim. This could take both you and your Sim through so many unexpected twists and turns you never would have thought of on your own.

A Sim singing karaoke
Never tried out the karaoke bars in San Myshuno? Put it into an RNG and see if it’s time to visit one!

Some other ways to apply a Sims 4 random number generator to your game include helping you decide which pack content to explore. Assign numbers to all the packs you own that you feel you don’t play with enough and see which pack it spits out. For even more interesting gameplay, generate up to 3 numbers and try to find a way to incorporate all three of those packs into your gameplay.

Or if your Sim is caught up in a love triangle, using a Sims 4 random number generator can help you decide which lucky Sim ultimately gets to walk down the aisle with them! You can really do a lot with RNGs to help you break out of a Simming rut!

Random Number Generators We Love!

Okay so you have a pretty good grasp of how to make your Sims 4 game more exciting by using a random number generator, but where do you find a good one? Luckily, the internet is full of really useful RNGs that are completely free and super helpful for a wide range of uses, including having more fun with your Sims 4 game!

Random.org

Random dot org

Random.org is a pretty tried-and-true number generator. It’s been around for a long time and it’s super easy to use. Pick a minimum and maximum number you want it to pull from and hit Generate. Presto! You have your random number. This tool is great for quick and easy number generation. It also has other free tools like a dice roller and coin flipper. However, we think its sequence generator is a little too complex for the simple purposes most Simmers would want to use it for.

Symbolab

symbolab dot com

Like Random.org, Symbolab also offers a dice roller as well as basic number picking. We like Symbolab’s dice roller because it allows you to choose how many sides there are to the dice as well as how many dice should be rolled. It’s also much easier to use its sequence generator because it’s built right into the main number generator. Pick your minimum and maximum number and how many numbers you want to generate. You can even decide whether you want to include repeat numbers or not, and tell the RNG to pull from even numbers, odd numbers, or both. Overall, we prefer Symbolab for dice rolling and sequence generating.

RandomNumberGenerator.com

Randomize baby names for your Sims

Don’t be fooled by the uncreative name. This website definitely has an edge over the competition, especially for Simmers! Not only does it have a dice roller and a basic number generator, but it also has a random baby name picker! Be honest; how many times have you sat staring at the new baby screen in your game agonizing over which name to pick for your legacy’s next heir? Never again! Choose the gender, length, initial, popularity, and origin for your new Sim’s name and generate a list of names tailored to your preferences!

Goodbye Boredom! Hello Randomness!

We hope using a Sims 4 random number generator will help you find new ways to enjoy your game. And if you loved this article on using a Sims 4 random number generator to make your game more exciting, check out these tips and tricks for telling great stories!

Sims 4 Story Starter Kit: An Insidious Inheritance

Welcome to our twentieth official The Sims 4 Story Starter Kit! If you missed all the info on The Sims 4 Story Starter Kits, you can read more about what they are and how they work in our introductory article!

A single father and his three girls move into a new home, unaware it’s already occupied!

For this month’s The Sims 4 Story Starter Kit, we’re bringing you a recently widowed single father of three young girls. When he receives a mysterious letter informing him of a massive inheritance his late wife left to him, he thinks this could be the fresh start he and his daughters need, but beware! Not everything is as it seems and everything comes with a price!

The Sims 4 Story Starter Kit: An Insidious Inheritance

Jarrett thought he had the perfect life. A kind, loving wife whom he completely adored to heaven and back, three beautiful, healthy daughters, a nice home in the suburbs with a white picket fence, and a writing career that was just starting to take off after years of hard work thanks to his wife’s unwavering belief in him. Then Irene started to get sick…

Suddenly, life became very different. Jarrett watched helplessly as the love of his life slipped away from him a little more each day. He spent more time at the hospital than at home and their children spent more time with babysitters than their parents. When Irene’s illness inevitably claimed her, Jarrett was left a widower and a single father of three young girls who were grieving for their mother.

Holly, the oldest, was affected the most. She became withdrawn and resentful of people, demanding to be left alone and flying into fits of rage when her request was ignored. She started having strange dreams she was convinced were prophecies and drawing confusing images of gargoyles and monsters but her therapist insisted it was just a child’s grief-driven delusion.

He tried his best to push his own grief aside to be the parent his children needed but he struggled to keep everything together on his own. His career that had been ready to take off was suffering now; between taking care of his sick wife and now trying to be with his daughters, he had little time to write. Nothing being published meant no money coming in. Jarrett was still trying to pay off his late wife’s mountain of medical bills, pay the mortgage, and make car payments. In a matter of months, the bank had repossessed both the house and car. Jarrett had a limited number of days before he and his children were homeless.

That was when Jarrett received a peculiar letter in the mail from an estate lawyer for his deceased wife. That was strange… Jarrett knew nothing about this estate lawyer. The letter informed him that Irene had been in possession of a large, historic manor in Forgotten Hollow that had been in her family for many generations. Now that she had sadly passed on, the house was his. Jarrett had his reasons for being suspicious, of course, but desperation makes people do crazy things. He packed up what he could and moved the girls to Forgotten Hollow to make this old estate their new home.

But once they arrived, it became clear the house was in bad shape. It was very outdated and would need a lot of work to be restored to its former glory. It would be a while before Jarrett had the money to do any major renovations. Still, it was a fully paid off home and they had nowhere else to go, so Jarrett decided to make the best of it for now.

However, not long after moving in, weird things started happening. Holly’s dreams became night terrors that she’d wake up screaming from almost every night, Autumn would talk to some kind of imaginary friend she called “the shadow man,” and Jarrett would find bizarre things in April’s crib, like piles of dirt and old coins from the 1700s that Holly swore up and down she never put there. But the scariest thing? The prophetic dreams Holly had before they moved here? They’d all been about this house! The gargoyles and monsters she’d been drawing? They were statues from this house!

Did Holly have some kind of supernatural ability? Was the house trying to speak to her? Whatever was in this house long before they arrived here, was it friendly or did it want to do harm to them? And if Holly was sensitive to the supernatural, was she in the most danger out of all of them?

Jarrett knows something isn’t right at 13 Deadend Drive, but he’s stuck there. He has no choice but to make peace with whatever inhabits his new home… or drive it out.

The Sims 4 Taylor Swift: 1989 (TV) Create A Sim Challenge

0

In honour of 1989 Taylor’s Version being Taylor’s latest re-recorded album and in true Sims Community fashion, we wanted to create a new Sims 4 Taylor Swift lookbook to commemorate the launch!

If you have followed Sims Community for a while, you will know that this isn’t the first time Taylor Swift has inspired us. Our previous content focused on both RED (Taylor’s Version) and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and the Henford-on-Bagley Playlist inspired by Evermore. You could say that the Sims Community team are well and truly Swifties!

Sims 4 Taylor Swift Challenge Details

This Sims 4 Taylor Swift-inspired challenge features all the songs from 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and aims to get players to create looks inspired by the various hit songs from the album.

Of course, we had to include the new Vaulted and the exclusive edition songs. If not this Sims 4 Taylor Swift challenge wouldn’t be complete otherwise. With over twenty songs to choose from, there will be plenty of ways to create a number of looks that represent 1989 (Taylor’s Version).

Sims 4 Taylor Swift

There is no right or wrong way to complete this Sims 4 Taylor Swift challenge. Simply, pick one of the songs and create a look based on your choice.

We also added a free choice option for this Sims 4 Taylor Swift Challenge. This was more, so players could potentially create an overall look based upon the album or combine inspiration from multiple songs into one look.

Once you’ve completed your looks, you can share them on social media or The Gallery. Just make sure to use the hashtag #1989TVSims!

And with that, that is everything you need to know about this The Sims 4 Taylor Swift Create A Sim Challenge!

The Lookbook (Taylor’s Version)

As Swifties ourselves, we couldn’t create a The Sims 4 Taylor Swift challenge and not make a few looks inspired by the album. Between SnarkyWitch and I, we have each picked two songs and got creative with our looks!

Each of the looks we’ve created for this Sims 4 Taylor Swift challenge is Custom Content free and uses a variety of options available in-game. Full details of each look can be found under each look!

Heaven and Sin

taylor blankspace2

“Oh my God, look at that face. You look like my next mistake. Love’s a game. Wanna play?”

Blank Space is the story of a jealous woman who seems like a daydream for a month… until her nasty temper turns the fantasy into a nightmare. This music video had so many iconic looks that it was hard to pick one but in the end, I decided to recreate Taylor’s horseback riding outfit. It’s such elevated simplicity, elegant, and speaks to my inner horse girl.

  • Hair: Messy Curly Bun (Eco Lifestyle)
  • Top: Loose Fitted V-Neck Sweater (Moonlight Chic)
  • Bottom: Button-Up Fitted Breeches (Realm of Magic)
  • Shoes: Knee-High English Riding Boots (Horse Ranch)
  • Accessories: Sunglasses (Seasons) / Earrings (Base Game) / Gloves (Home Chef Hustle)
  • Makeup: Eyeshadow, Eyeliner, & Blush (Base Game) / Lipstick (Base Game – MAC Cosmetics)

This Sick Beat

taylor shakeitoff

“I’m dancing on my own. I make the rules up as I go. And that’s what they don’t know.”

Shake It Off holds a special place in my heart because it came out at a good time in my life. I’d just started a new relationship, I was working on things I was passionate about and Shake It Off just felt like the perfect soundtrack for all of that; shaking off the hard times of the past and looking forward to the future. Even though that relationship ultimately ended and my other passions went in a different direction, Shake It Off still brings back all those positive, hopeful feelings. Of course, I had to recreate one of my favourite looks from that video!

  • Hair: High Ponytail (Spa Day)
  • Top: Half-Sleeved Windbreaker (Growing Together)
  • Bottom: Distressed Faded Denim Shorts (Bowling Night)
  • Shoes: Lace-Up Sneakers (Incheon Arrivals)
  • Accessories: Earrings (Base Game) / Necklace (Get Famous) / Bracelets (Luxury Party & Get Together) / Socks (High School Years)
  • Makeup: Eyeshadow, Eyeliner, Blush, and Lipstick (Base Game)

Now You Say You Want It Back

“People like you always want back the love they gave away”

All You Had To Do Is Stay can be interpreted in so many different ways. For me, I had the image of a Sim finally being free from a relationship before the other person realised their mistake. They would be walking through town singing the lyrics to the song wearing their favourite outfit and making heads turn in the process. I chose to create this outfit using colours featured in the new artwork to really bring the look to life. In fact, it came together much better than I expected!

  • Hair:  Shaggy Wolfcut (Werewolves)
  • Top: Layered Cropped Blazer (Incheon Arrivals)
  • Skirt: Pleated Skirt (High School Years)
  • Shoes: Woven Wedges (Cottage Living)
  • Accessories:  Crescent Necklace and single Decorative Rings (Werewolves)
  • Makeup: Eyeshadow ( Base Game x MAC), Eyeliner (High School Years), Lipstick (Base Game x MAC), Nails (Base Game)

Now We Got Problems

TS4 x64 blarffy softie 2023 10 22 19 35 44

“Did you have to ruin what was shiny, now it’s all rusted”

As soon as I decided to create a look for Bad Blood, I knew it would be something that gave off a similar vibe to that of the music video. It gives a don’t mess with this Sim impression and that this Sim means business when on a mission. Definitely a Sim I wouldn’t want to cross in a bad mood!

  • Hair: Twin Braids with Bangs (Snowy Escape)
  • Top: Mesh Long Sleeve (High School Years)
  • Bottoms: Camo Cargos (Moonlight Chic)
  • Shoes: Laced Up Military Boots (Werewolves)
  • Accessories:  Beanie (Grunge Revival), Celestial Earrings (Realm of Magic), Ring (Base Game)
  • Makeup: Eyeshadow (High School Years), Eyeliner (Base Game), Blush (Base Game x MAC) Lips (Base Game x Akalukery)

Please note that some topics can be tricky and require an extended investigation on our end, so even though we are actively reviewing, it’s not a guarantee that we’ll have an immediate fix for it in the upcoming patch.

Here’s the list of the top community concerns we’re investigating for the game update next month:

Thanks for all your patience and valuable help! Please continue sharing with us about any issues you’re experiencing on Answers HQ. We’ll continue to check in, and together we can make this game the best that it can be. Happy Simming!

It does look like Elanor might be calling our Sims just a little longer but at least Yamachan will hopefully stop making surprise unannounced appearances in future!

Keep reading to find out more about when to expect the next The Sims 4 Update and how to report any bugs/issues you may be experiencing!

When is the next The Sims 4 Update?

With the recent return of Stuff Packs with The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle, this is the first patch that the community has received since its release. We also know that there is a new expansion pack due sometime between now and December as stated in the Roadmap. The Sims Team has been relatively quiet since the Stuff Packs release and there is currently no news about the expansion pack and what it could be about. Hopefully we, as a community will hear some news from The Sims Team soon!

Based upon the previous The Sims 4 Laundry Lists, we should expect to see the next The Sims 4 Base Game update in the near future. The last few Laundry Lists have seen game updates released around seven days after publication. However, this is based on the release windows we’ve seen in the past, and this may vary for this next patch.

While there is currently no planned release for October or November, this is more than likely going to be just a bug-fix patch. We will likely see this next Sims 4 Update on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023.

Sims 4 Vampire Build: Beware Saying “I Do” Among the Dead!

0

With Halloween fast approaching, it’s the perfect season for your occult Sims to tie the knot, and I’ve got a great Sims 4 vampire build for just that purpose! Your vampire Sims will love the spooky vibes of this wedding venue located in a cemetery.

A wedding in a graveyard? Sure, why not?

Of course, I might be just a little bit biased because I built this wedding venue. You should be the judge here and take a tour for yourself! Shall we take a stroll through the cemetery tonight?

Sims 4 Vampire Build Tour

sims 4 vampire build

Let’s take a guided tour through what might possibly be your vampire couple’s future wedding venue! From old stone architecture to a mix of rich reds and inky blacks, this is the perfect spot to get married if you’re two creatures of the night.

The Cemetery

cemetery

Of course, the perfect backdrop for a lot like this is Forgotten Hollow so that’s where this beautifully eerie cemetery is located. Through the wrought iron front gates lies tombstones from a time long forgotten. Winding stone pathways through dying foliage and old stone carvings cast a creepy yet beautiful ambiance over the whole area. And when playing in live mode, the tombstones have swirls of mist around them for an even more spooky effect.

graveyard

The pavilion in the centre of the cemetery is where wedding vows take place and a few stone pews allow for a small, close-knit clan to join the vampiric couple in celebration of an eternity together. Er, quite literally an eternity. The ceremony being held under a covered pavilion serves two functions; one is to keep the couple and the guests dry in case of rain or snow and the other is to protect all your undead Sims from the dangers of sunlight.

wedding pavilion

This Sims 4 vampire build was definitely designed with both beauty and utility in mind. After all, our occult Sims need different accommodations than their mortal counterparts.

The Reception Area

mausoleum

Speaking of vampiric accommodations, the mausoleum located on the premises is just a front to keep the mortals out. Rather than leading to an underground crypt, the mausoleum in this Sims 4 vampire build actually leads to a small but elegant reception area where your vampiric couples can kick back with a few plasma janes and listen to the soothing sounds of pipe organ music.

reception

Including the pipe organ bench and the newlyweds, this cozy area seats up to 12 Sims so vampires looking to keep their wedding a private and intimate affair will feel right at home here.

dinner and music

A head table for the couple and a bar fully stocked with plasma will allow your newlyweds to sip their drinks in comfort and allow your guests to enjoy the free flowing drinks and conversation all night long. Just don’t expect to find a bathroom or kitchen. Those are silly mortal things that vampires have no need of!

The Honeymoon Suite

Is your vampire couple growing weary of entertaining guests at their wedding reception and eager to sneak away for some private time as married vampires? This Sims 4 vampire build has just what they’re looking for. A quick walk down the hall will lead them to the honeymoon suite where an ornate coffin sits ready for your vampiric newlyweds to, ahem… consummate their union. You know what I’m trying to say. Woo. Hoo. Wink wink.

honeymoon suite

Whether your vampires are trying to grow their clan or just enjoying each other’s company in privacy, they can rest assured that their guests will be too busy dancing to the pipe organ and ordering another round of plasma drinks to notice the stars of the show have gone missing for a few minutes… or hours. Whatever suits their fancy.

Official Leak: The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack

0

Surely enough, a few hours after the initial Sims 4 For Rent leak from Instant Gaming, more information has since been revealed. As confirmed by Anadius, we bring you the rundown of the upcoming pack’s features, box art, and release date. Ready for the scoop? Let’s dive right in!

New Expansion Pack: Title and Release Date

Hold on to your plumbombs, Simmers, because this is a big one! The whisper is that the next expansion will be none other than The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack. Mark your calendars (or set a reminder on your Sim’s in-game phone): The expansion pack, if all goes according to the leak, will officially go live on Thursday, 7th December 2023.

Picture this: it’s the perfect chilly weather outside, and you’ve got your hot cocoa and a brand-new Sims experience waiting for you. Sounds dreamy, right? So, fingers and toes crossed: Here’s hoping for an early Christmas gift from the Sims universe!

First Peek at the Sims 4 For Rent Box Art

Sims 4 For Rent
The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack Box Art

Here’s a first peek at what appears to be The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack box art. And let me tell you, it’s just as colourful and rich with personality as we would anticipate from the world of our favourite Sims.

The artwork appears to immediately convey the idea of what “For Rent” might mean. The scene displays a bustling neighbourhood setting, and our Sims indeed do appear to be very busy! A Sim that appears to be the landlord is shown on the left. He might be tallying the Simoleons that his renters have given him, or he might be checking off rental obligations.

A stylish Sim woman stands next to him, projecting confidence. Might she be a recent renter? A manager of properties? Or maybe she’s just keeping a watch on the goings-on around the neighborhood. In any case, she means business!

Other Sims, each with a unique story, may be seen in the background, peeping through doorways and giving us hints about the wide range of interactions and events we can expect in this update. The design seems to be giving us a real indication of the depth of this expansion. Living in such close quarters brings with it a multitude of stories, adventures, and yes, misadventures; it’s not just about paying rent or being a landlord. And if the box art is any indication, we’re in for a delightful blend of drama, fun, and those unexpected twists that only The Sims can deliver.

Official Description and Features

Sims 4 For Rent

Bring the neighbors together (literally) and experience multi-family lots as a tenant or property owner in The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack. Your Sim can now own and manage multiple Residential Rental lots or move into a home where they’re closer to their neighbors than ever (perfect for snooping!). From potlucks to evictions, there’s a lot to do and a bustling new world to do it in. Purchase now to get bonus items to bring the Night Market home for your Sims with The Sims 4 Street Eats Digital Content**, available in-game on launch day, December 7.

Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack Features

Street Eats Digital Content — Bring night market flavor home with a grill cart, street umbrella and fruit basket, available when you order from November 2 through January 18**.

The New Lot Type in Town — New Residential Rental lots give you the chance to get creative with multi-family dwellings. Give your Sims a basement suite to rent out, create a duplex to keep 2 families close or even build apartments.

Property Management — Property-owner Sims can be present property managers, living among their tenants, or they can live in a separate residence while generating income from several property investments. Watch out — if property owners don’t keep their Unit Ratings high, they could face a Tenant Revolt.

Closer Than Ever — Closeness can create harmony — or drama! Sims in Residential Rentals will inevitably get tangled up in each other’s lives. They’ll socialize at potlucks, meet in the garden or other common areas and have ample opportunity to discover each other’s secrets by eavesdropping, snooping or even breaking and entering.

Bustling & Beautiful — Explore a new world that’s alive with possibilities. Visit the botanical garden, leave an offering at a Spirit House and discover an animal sanctuary! One of the most iconic scenes Tomarang has to offer is the Night Market where your Sims will discover new foods and unique objects.

The Gist of it All: Own the Neighbourhood

This expansion pack seems to be centered on bringing your Sims even closer to their neighbors. How close? Think multi-family lots, bustling community activities, potlucks, and of course, the juicy drama that comes with living so near to others.

Here’s a snippet from the leak: “Your Sim can now own and manage multiple Residential Rental lots or move into a home where they’re closer to their neighbors than ever (perfect for snooping!). From potlucks to evictions there’s a lot to do and a bustling new world to do it in.”

What’s New in the Sims 4 For Rent?

  • Street Eats Digital Content: Order from November 2 through January 18 and give your Sims the night market flavor right at home with a grill cart, street umbrella, and fruit basket.
  • The New Lot Type in Town: Yes, yes, and YES! Get super creative with multi-family dwellings. Whether you want a basement suite, a cozy duplex, or a full-fledged apartment complex, the Sims world is your oyster.
  • Property Management: As a property-owner Sim, you can dive deep into the real estate game, earning Simoleons and managing your units. But remember, a poor Unit Rating could spell disaster with a Tenant Revolt (Yikes!).
  • Closer Than Ever: Get ready for some neighborly love… or chaos! Sims living in these Residential Rentals will have plenty of chances to bond, or, you know, snoop around.
  • Bustling & Beautiful New World: The expansion brings in a vibrant world known as Tomarang. And one of its highlighted spots? The Night Market. Ready to discover exotic foods and unique items?

A December to Remember?

There you have it, fellow Simmers! The air is thick with anticipation, and the Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack has us eagerly waiting for December. But let’s always keep in mind that this leak is still, you know, a leak. But if it turns out to be true, December is going to be an absolute treat for all of us. For now, let’s hold onto our plumbobs and eagerly await more info on Sims Community News!

Sims 4 Family Reunion Guide: Better Together!

In The Sims 4 Growing Together, Sims can catch up with all of their extended relatives by throwing a Sims 4 family reunion event. Learn all about this social event in our guide!

Bring the whole fam jam together with a family reunion!

The Sims 4 Growing Together Family Reunions

We’ll walk you through how to start this event, the event goals, and all the rewards you can get from this event. We’re going to help you make sure all your family reunions in The Sims 4 Growing Together are a gold level success!

Throwing a Sims 4 Family Reunion

Select your social event

Firstly, to throw a Sims 4 family reunion event, have any adult Sim in your household use the Social app on their cell phone to Start a Social Event. Select the Family Reunion event about midway down the list and decide whether you want to throw a goaled event or not. Goaled events come with event goals to complete and rewards for finishing the event at bronze, silver, or gold level. If you do not check the box for a goaled event, the family reunion will be a generic event with no goals and no rewards. If Seasons is installed, goaled events cannot be hosted on a holiday.

The guests do not all have to be related to the hosts in order to be invited to a Sims 4 family reunion. This allows Sims who are distant relatives, related through marriage, or Sims who are honourary family members (such as close family friends) to attend these family events, too.

The Sims 4 Growing Together Family Reunions

Once you’ve selected the family reunion event, choose the hosts, the guest list, and the mixologist (if desired). A family reunion must have at least 1 host and 4 guests. Hired roles are optional. Then pick the location of the party.

Sims 4 Growing Together: Family Reunion Goals

When the event starts, the guests will show up on the lot. Everyone involved with the event will change into their party attire. If you chose not to have a goaled event, you are free to do whatever you like until the event timer ends. However, if you chose a goaled event, there are some unique goals to complete.

Meeting new family members

Main Goal: Take 20 Photos

Other Goals:

  • Thank a guest for coming
  • Talk about family
  • Call to meal
  • Share photos
  • Tell a story
  • Hug Sims

New interactions will be available on Sims during the event. They will help you complete some of the above event goals.

The Sims 4 Growing Together Family Reunions

Guests can talk to each other about various family topics during a Sims 4 family reunion event. They can discuss the importance of family, talk about family lineages and discuss future family plans with each other. Any of these interactions will help to complete the Talk About Family event goal. These interactions are easy to find in the social menu. They pop right up when clicking on a Sim; they’re not in a sub-category.

Bonding with Family

Family Reunion Rewards

Of course, you’ll want to aim to finish a Sims 4 family reunion event at the gold level. However, the bronze and silver reward items for this event are pretty good, too. Finishing a successful family reunion will unlock new collage frames for your Sims. Completing the event at silver or gold will also unlock all rewards from lower reward levels. So if you completed the event at gold level, you would also get the Four’s a Crowd and Three’s Company frames in addition to the Four’s (Still) a Crowd frame.

Moreover, these collage frame reward item are only unlockable by completing a Sims 4 family reunion event at bronze, silver, or gold level. Obviously, we don’t have many collage frame options in The Sims 4, so these are all pretty great rewards. All the frames come in 8 swatches.

POSSIBLE LEAK: The Sims 4 Rental Houses Expansion Pack

0

Before we continue talking about The Sims 4 Rental Houses that has seemingly surfaced on the web, it’s important to give a disclaimer. This post is purely based on speculation for now and contains no official confirmation as of yet. All image assets shown below are recreated for listing purposes.

Spotted by the eagle-eyed @TheHenfordHen, we may well be seeing the option for our Sims to become landlords in the near future. The unofficial listing seems to hint that the 15th expansion pack could well be focused around rental houses and appropriately named The Sims 4 Rental Houses.

There’s a Release Date for The Sims 4 Rental Houses

We’ve been informed about this latest leak via social media and it looks as though the upcoming release has been revealed by Instant Gaming again. Currently, the release date is set for 8th, December 2023. Again this information is currently unconfirmed and speculation until we have an official announcement.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Instant Gaming leak an upcoming pack, in fact, the same thing happened for The Sims 4 Horse Ranch!

The Sims 4 Rental Houses Pack: Potential Leak

At the time of writing, Instant Gaming was the only site to be listing “The Sims 4 Rental Houses Expansion Pack” on their site. With only a placeholder box art and release date. We are yet to find out any information about potential features.

Placeholder Box Art for the Possible Upcoming Expansion Pack

It’s important to note as well that this also isn’t confirmed official box art for the new expansion pack. As we have seen in previous pack leaks, the images can created using player-made content or even assets from previous games.

Update: Since originally posting, it has been discovered that the build featured in the placeholder box art is actually from a player-made build.

The build was originally shared on Reddit two years ago by Oreyt. This information was discovered by X/Twitter user @thilseycrossing. The villa was created in The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories world of Tartosa is actually a wedding venue but can also be a rental lot!

This lot is currently available on The Sims 4 Gallery to download and why not take a look at the Speed Build from HutchPlays below?

The Sims 4 Rental Houses: Speculation

Since the release of the current roadmap, players have been speculating about what the upcoming expansion could be focused on.

Behind The Sims A FIRST LOOK STUFF PACKS THE LATEST ON PROJECT RENE 4 49 screenshot

Even upon the release of the roadmap back in September, players were discussing the potential that the expansion could have a focus on apartments, owning secondary homes or maybe even more community-based, neighbourly gameplay. Additionally, players spotted more details with the elephant kettle and food items that could well be a hint towards the kind of world we may see.

What do you think some of the new features could be in the new expansion pack? What about the new world, what could it look like? We’re sure many players will have plenty of questions about this rumoured The Sims 4 Rental Houses expansion pack. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!

What about the release date and features?

As previously stated, the speculated release date on Instant Gaming is the 8th of December 2023. This will likely be the same across PC, Mac, Xbox and PlayStation. Instant Gaming still has no mention of features.

Can we trust the latest leaks?

We recommend that you take this speculation and listings with a grain of salt. There are a few times when these websites could predict a Sims 4 release in advance. There are examples especially with Instant Gaming when they broke the news about The Sims 4 going free. They were also responsible for the name leaks of Sims 4 Island Living and Cottage Living Expansions. (Tip from @TheBoyXp)

With this information starting to leak out, it’s only a matter of time until The Sims makes an official announcement. Hopefully, it won’t be too much longer now!

You can stay tuned on the latest Sims 4 News to be the first to know if this speculation gets debunked!

Don’t forget to let us know your thoughts on this leak for the upcoming expansion pack in the comments below!

Join The Sims 5 Playtest and Help Shape the Future of Project Rene!

0

Want to join the next Sims 5 playtest? The Sims 4 has been on the market for almost a decade so it wasn’t surprising when The Sims Team announced “the next generation Sims game” last year. Also known as Project Rene. Also known as The Sims 5. What was surprising was how transparent The Sims Team was with its fanbase about development of the new title, even going so far as to launch an early Sims 5 playtest.

Learn how YOU can be a playtester for The Sims 5 and shape the game’s future!

There have been many updates about the development of Project Rene since then, most of them in the form of segments on the regular Behind The Sims events. Players are more curious than ever about what The Sims 5 will look like and it seems as if The Sims Team wants Simmers to be the ones leading the charge when it comes to the game’s overall direction.

If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, you can apply to be a playtester for Project Rene during the next Sims 5 playtest. Read on to find out how!

The Sims 5 Playtest: Everything You Need to Know

Sims 5 playtest / project rene playtest

While it might sound amazing to have the opportunity to play Project Rene long before the public does, it’s important to remember that not everyone is guaranteed to be selected as a playtester. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, given all the excitement surrounding the latest Project Rene playtest. Everyone is going to want a slice of the pie and there’s only so much pie to go around, so to speak.

Still, the only way to guarantee that you won’t get in on The Sims 5 playtest is if you never try in the first place, so it’s worth getting an application in if you’re interested.

Step 1: Login or Create an EA Account

create an ea account

Make sure you are logged in to your EA account. If you play The Sims 4 on either Origin or the EA App, you already have an EA account so just use those login details to access your account. If you don’t already have an EA account, you can sign up for one at EA.com.

You will need to be logged into your EA account in order to sign up to be a playtester.

Step 2: Access the Playtest Portal

Once you have your EA account set up and you are logged in, visit this page on the official EA website. It’s the playtester agreement page. You will need to read and agree to all of the terms outlined in order to access the Playtest Portal and we do recommend reading all the documents carefully to ensure you know what rules to abide by when playtesting EA’s games. They are linked on the web page but we will also link them here for you to read over.

ea playtesting agreements

Once you have read and checked all the boxes to state that you agree to the terms, you will be granted access to the Playtest Portal! YAY! You’re one step closer to having a shot at joining the next Sims 5 playtest!

ea playtest portal

Click Get Started and answer a few questions about your playtest preferences and contact information. It’s important that you answer all these questions because doing so increases your chances of being selected for a playtest. The more they know about what games you like to play, the better playtest offers they’ll be able to extend to you.

Step 3: Keep Your Eyes Peeled for Project Rene Playtests!

After answering the questions, you’ll now have access to your main profile page where you’ll be able to see news and updates, available playtests to join, and upcoming playtests that you’re involved with.

Look for available playtests

You’re not guaranteed to see Project Rene available to playtest. It all depends on whether The Sims Team has a playtest planned for the game, your playtest preferences, and how many spots are available to fill for The Sims 5 playtest. If you want to make sure you have a shot at becoming a playtester for Project Rene, make sure you keep revisiting this page to see if Project Rene is listed under available playtests.

Sims 4 Spooky Party Guide: Expert Tips for a Killer Bash!

0

I don’t know about you but I loooove Spooky Day in The Sims, no matter what time of year it is in the real world. Why? Because I get to throw a Sims 4 Spooky Party! Halloween parties in the real world can be such a pain to put together (and clean up after). Spooky Parties in The Sims 4 are way more fun to plan, execute, and clean up after, if you ask me!

Here’s 5 tips to throw an awesome Spooky Party!

In fact, I’ve thrown many a Sims 4 Spooky Party in my day and each time, I think of something else to elevate my party to the next level. Why put so much effort into a party just for my own enjoyment, you ask? After all, Sims are usually happy if there’s food and a TV wherever they are, right? Well… because it’s fun! And video games should be fun to play! Do I need a better reason? I don’t think so.

So if you’re like me and take great satisfaction in putting together the best Sims 4 Spooky Party in your game, you’re going to love these five tips for really making your next Spooky Party stand out!

Throw the Best Sims 4 Spooky Party

1. Skip the Caterers and Mixologists

If you only own the base game and Spooky Stuff, caterers and mixologists might be a decent option to help you keep your guests fed and their thirst quenched. However, for players with any pack that includes a drink fountain and buffet table combo, such as My Wedding Stories, Luxury Party Stuff, or High School Years, these useful party items are a much better option for your Sims 4 Spooky Party.

sims 4 spooky party

Caterers and mixologists are unreliable. You can’t control what kind of foods your caterer will decide to prepare. This means that you could be serving your guests a white wedding cake at a Spooky Party… if the caterer even ends up making anything at all. And your mixologist could randomly decide they’re off the clock and leave in the middle of the party, leaving your guests confused and thirsty and leaving your Sims out a bunch of simoleons for a job that wasn’t done properly.

To ensure your guests don’t go hungry and are eating and drinking things that are fun to enjoy at a Spooky Party, spend a couple hours before the party cooking up some cheese eyeballs, spooky cookies, and zombie cakes and lay them out on the buffet table. Then fill the fountain with futuristic punch (I like this one because it’s a funky colour and fits the Spooky Day aesthetic) and let your guests help themselves to a huge spread of goodies!

halloween candy bowl and pumpkins

For an added treat (and some tricks), set out a couple candy dishes and laugh as your guests get startled by an unexpected surprise when they go for dessert.

2. Plan fun autumn-themed group activities!

While it can be fun to just mingle and chat at a party, it’s always good to have options. Not every Sim enjoys standing around chit-chatting, especially after all the recent tweaks to Sims’ personalities in packs and updates. Setting out other activities at your Sims 4 Spooky Party will make sure that there’s something for every guest to enjoy.

pumpkin carving

Put out a few pumpkin carving stations and display everyone’s creations on the front porch, or you could prepare a prize to give the Sim with the coolest pumpkin. If handing a bunch of tipsy Sims carving tools sounds like an accident waiting to happen, put on a scary movie and invite all your guests to come enjoy the show.

And of course, don’t forget to put on those Spooky Tunes and get people dancing! It’s not a party without dancing!

3. Lighting is everything!

Not everyone knows this, but every light in the game can have both its brightness and colour adjusted with a slider! Any interior designer or event coordinator will tell you that getting the lighting right is fundamental in creating the right vibe for the space. A Sims 4 Spooky Party is no exception. The best part is you don’t even have to buy special lights! Just use the ones you already have!

creepy lighting

For the perfect creepy-crawly Sims 4 Spooky Party vibe, I recommend dimming all the lights to about 25% and keeping lights over focal points like food and drink tables and centrepiece décor to about 50% to bring more attention to them. Then go around adjusting the colours of individual lights to something spooky. I like to do a mixture of purple and green lighting. It really makes any home or party venue look eerie and sinister.

Although your Sims won’t really notice the difference, your screenshots will look amazing and hey, there’s nothing wrong with going that extra mile solely for your own enjoyment!

4. Get creative with your creepy décor!

decorative tombstones with fog emitters

Even if you’re a console player or a Simmer who doesn’t like to use mods and custom content, there are plenty of ways to take your Sims 4 Spooky Party decorations up a notch, especially if you have the Spooky Stuff pack. Since Spooky Parties come with Spooky Stuff, I’m willing to bet you probably do have this pack.

For example, did you know the yard tombstones from Spooky Stuff can have fog effects toggled on and off? You can really use this to your advantage not just for the front yard but pretty much everywhere you want! With some handy build cheats, you can size down the tombstone to be super tiny and hide it inside other objects with the fog effect turned on. This will instantly add fog effects to almost anything you want, like your buffet table or other decorations! And the cauldron décor? It emits ghost light effects which you can add to anything you want using the exact same methods!

5. Think outside the box with costumes

We know most townies aren’t very creative with their costume choices. Chances are, you’ll end up with a dozen fairy, witch, and hot dog costumes among your guests at your Sims 4 Spooky Party. That’s why it’s even more important for your own Sims to stand out. You’re the host and you set the standard, after all.

a sim dressed as a witch
“What do you MEAN witches are cliché?!”

So for your next Sims 4 Spooky Party, try staying away from the traditional costume pieces and broaden the CAS catalogue to come up with more unique costume concepts. For example, you could use regular clothing pieces to recreate an iconic look from your favourite real-world fictional character or music artist. Or you could always go super camp and go all in on he silly puns, like putting your Sim’s hair in pigtails, dressing in all orange and brown with a cup of coffee in hand and calling yourself a Pumpkin Spice Girl.

Okay that last concept might be kind of cringe but you get the idea! All we’re getting at is, a Sims 4 Spooky Party costume doesn’t necessarily have to come from the costume section in CAS, okay?

Sims 4 Music Mod: A Beautiful and Functional Custom Harp!

Looking for a Sims 4 music mod? You’re in the right place! The Sims 4 has been out for 9 years now and after 9 years, we’ve gotten exactly one (1) new instrument; the pipe organ from the Vampires game pack. Yes, there was also a keyboard added with the City Living expansion pack but it’s basically just a small piano.

This custom instrument comes with its own skill, new animations, custom audio, and more!

Simmers with musically-inclined Sims are understandably getting incredibly bored with the same three base game instruments and one DLC instrument after nearly a decade, so talented modders like JaneSimsten have come to the rescue with her Sims 4 music mod!

Sims 4 Music Mod: A Playable Custom Harp

Jane Simsten is especially skilled at creating mods to suit historical gameplay, like this archery mod. So it’s no surprise that they would want to bring more classical music to The Sims 4 and we are totally here for it! Their mods often bring high quality custom animations, custom skills, and custom audio to the game and this Sims 4 music mod is no exception!

Laptop-Friendly Maxis Match Design

They’ve created a fully functional harp for the game! The harp is low poly (so it won’t be too hard on lower end computers), base game compatible, and has five swatches so you can fit your new harp into any room design. We love how elegant and ornate this new object looks while not being too taxing on computers to render.

The design of this Sims 4 music mod is solid proof that sometimes, there is the most beauty and elegance found in simplicity. It really is a beautiful addition to any home, even if your Sims don’t intend to play it! But of course, where’s the fun in that?

New Animations and Audio

A lot of thought was put into this Sims 4 music mod which is evident in the custom animations and audio. Every time your Sim sits down to play their harp, you’ll see a custom animation that’s brand new. JaneSimsten did not recycle any animations from other parts of the game. So it really does look like your Sim is playing the harp. The movements are very fluid and relaxing to watch.

There’s no recycled audio, either. The music you hear coming out of this Sims 4 music mod is brand new custom harp music and as your Sim builds their skill with this classical instrument, they’ll unlock even more harp compositions to play, so you won’t get bored of hearing the same short music clip over and over again.

A Brand New Skill

A new skill, you ask? Yes, Sims can build the new Harp skill by playing the harp. The skill has 10 levels and each level unlocks new social interactions related to playing the harp, as well as new types of music that can be played on the harp. Highly skilled harp players can compose their own songs and license them just like other instruments in the game!

And if you’re wondering whether we’ve tested this Sims 4 music mod out ourselves, we sure have and we love it! In fact, I fell so in love with this harp that it’s now a permanent fixture in my game and has been featured in my Sims stories! Here’s a picture of one of my Sims playing her own harp.

A Culinary Upgrade: Best Food and Kitchen Mods for Sims 4

0

When playing Sims 4, many players often wonder about the variety of food items available for their Sims. Sure, the game already offers a decent selection of dishes, but what if you crave something more? Something that gives a unique flavor to your Sims’ dining experiences?

This article will dive deep into the world of Sims 4 Kitchen & Food Mods, showcasing some of the best ones you can install to spice up your Sims culinary journey.

Discovering the Best Sims 4 Food & Kitchen Mods

In The Sims 4, every meal can be an event, a memory, or a simple comfort. However, with the vast universe and limitless potential of the game, there’s always room for more culinary delights. Food & Kitchen mods serve as the answer for those seeking to introduce a dash of novelty to their Sims’ plates. Ready to embark on a gourmet journey? Let’s explore the finest food and kitchen mods that promise to make every mealtime a grand affair.

1. MORE SERVING OPTIONS & BETTER MEALTIME MENUS BY LITTLEMSSAM

11

Treat your Sims to a diverse array of mealtime choices with this comprehensive mod, which introduces expanded serving options accessible through both the cooking and gourmet cooking menus of stoves and fridges. Whether you’re planning an intimate dinner for two, catering to a small or large family, or even throwing a modest party, this mod ensures you have the right serving size to match the occasion. It integrates previously unconnected recipes, such as the BLT, Faux BLT, and Quinoa Salad, into the mix.

For fans of experimental food, added serving options elevate the culinary experience, albeit with the prerequisite of another mod. Additionally, optional add-ons enhance the gameplay further: “Ingredients Required” makes cooking more realistic by showing only feasible recipes based on available ingredients, and “Cake is Baking” (requiring Get to Work) moves numerous dessert recipes to the baking menu. The “Better MealTime Menus” modification, meanwhile, revamps the stoves’ mealtime pie menu, providing Sims with a richer selection for every meal.

2. CLUTTER ANYWHERE APPLIANCE MOD BY BESSY

222

Elevate your Sims’ kitchen experience with this freshly updated Appliance Placement Mod. Having rebuilt almost all files from scratch, this mod now permits small appliances to be placed on virtually any surface while maintaining their functionality. From microwaves and coffee makers to unique items like the ice-cream maker from the Cool Kitchen pack or the hot pot from Snowy Escape, your Sims can now enjoy more versatile placements, even directly on the floor.

However, be wary when placing items on wall shelves as it may lead to routing errors. As an added bonus, this update ensures compatibility with other tuning-affecting mods and optimizes for smoother gameplay. Do note that while adults can interact without hitches, children may face some challenges with appliances like the ice-cream maker, demanding a specific kitchen counter with a footstool slot. Special credit goes to Madhox for the original mod inspiration.

3. GRAYCURSE’S COOKING & INGREDIENTS OVERHAUL BY GRAYCURSE

333

Seeking a heightened sense of realism in your Sim’s culinary journey? GrayCurse’s Cooking & Ingredients Overhaul mod is your answer. This mod challenges players by introducing a variety of new ingredients such as eggs, milk, flour, cheese, and meats, among others. Now, shopping becomes an integral aspect of the game; acquire ingredients through the “Buy Ingredients” feature in the fridge. The overhaul ensures every recipe is authentically rooted with real-world ingredients, amping up the cooking challenge.

Not just that, the mod enhances the grocery shopping experience with a meticulously curated purchase dialog containing diverse food group types. Note that this mod necessitates specific installations, and users must ensure they possess the latest version for optimal gameplay. Though compatible with Custom Food Interactions and new recipes, it might clash with mods that modify existing recipes.

4. FUNCTIONAL TEAPOT BY BALKANIKA

444

Introducing the “Functional Tea Pot”, a delightful small appliance designed for true tea aficionados. With an essence inspired by Korean teas (though many may resonate with other Asian cultures), this tea pot provides users with the ability to craft 5 distinct tea varieties. Found within the buy mode under “Appliances -> Small appliances”, and boasting 8 vibrant recolors, this tea pot is priced at a modest $170. Simply interact with the pot to “Make Special Tea”, opening a menu to choose from the 5 teas.

Whether you have the ingredients on hand or prefer a direct purchase, the process is seamless. Place the teapot wherever suits – table, counter, or even the ground. Each brewed tea bestows a unique moodlet, enhancing your Sim’s experience. Dive into the world of Barley Tea, Omija Tea, Green Plum Tea, Citron Tea, and Chrysanthemum Tea.

5. BABY FOOD STEAMER BY BALKANIKA

5555

Embark on a delightful culinary adventure for your youngest Sims with the “Baby Food Steamer” mod. A must-have for every virtual parent, this mod brings in a nifty small appliance designed to craft a variety of nutritious meals for babies. Located conveniently under the “Appliances -> Small appliances” in buy mode, and strategically priced at $300, the steamer is designed to grace your kitchen counters.

Engaging with the steamer reveals an array of 19 distinct baby food options, ensuring your toddler Sims never run out of flavorful choices. Whether you’re using fresh ingredients—thanks to a harmonious integration with harvestables from EA and icemunmun—or paying a modest $8 flat price per meal, crafting these meals is hassle-free, requiring no cooking skills.

A crucial note for simmers: while the steamer acts as a preparation hub, your Sim doesn’t interact with it directly. Instead, after selecting the desired baby food, they magically present the meal and place it on a high chair, ensuring the meal reaches its intended tiny diner. However, ensure a Toddler High Chair is placed on your lot for seamless interactions.

6. FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE MOD BY LITTLEMSSAM

6666

Step aside, traditional pizza delivery. LittleMsSam introduces the revamped “Food Delivery Service” mod, expanding culinary horizons right at your Sim’s doorstep. Inspired by, but not an update to, simmythesim’s older mod, this version permits ordering from single to party-sized meals. For users of the “More Servings Options” mod, there’s seamless integration, although delivered plates may seem empty initially; fear not, they regain their visual appeal once placed on a table or reset.

The service is tirelessly available 24/7. Pricing reflects the food’s retail value plus a $2 tip, while some grill items come at a base price of $50 plus tip. An intriguing add-on offers dynamic pricing based on household funds, ensuring that wealthier Sims splurge a bit more on their indulgences. With the delivery NPC ensuring prompt service without loitering, this mod transforms your Sim’s dining experience, merging convenience with gourmet variety.

7. DON’T WASH DISHES WHERE YOU ANGRY POOP MOD BY SCUMBUMBO

nj

Ah, the struggle of Sims washing dishes where they shouldn’t. Enter the “Don’t Wash Dishes Where You Angry Poop” mod, masterminded by Scumbumbo and updated to perfection by LeRoiDeTout. This mod offers a precise, player-driven solution: designate specific sinks for dishwashing. Post-installation, the default setting ensures no sink allows dishwashing.

But with a simple click, users can enable or disable this feature on individual sinks. Why? Perhaps you’ve placed a kitchen sink in a bathroom or the other way around. Instead of leaving it to game defaults, you get to decide which sinks are dish-friendly. If no sinks are activated for washing, Sims default to disposing of dishes in the trash. One essential note for SCAM users: autonomy needs activation for dishwashing interactions. Removal of the mod? Sinks return to their usual functions. The mod even boasts a customizable settings menu, ensuring compatibility and flexibility for every player’s preference.

8. A-DOUGH-ABLE CUPCAKE MAKER BY RAVASHEEN

89

Bake till you burst! Introducing the “A-Dough-Able Cupcake Maker”, crafted by Ravasheen. This mod replicates all the functionalities of the traditional cupcake machine but within a one-tile space. Efficient and convenient, it’s a must-have for every Sim baker.

The best part is that this mod is suitable for the base game. Like Ravasheen’s other culinary mods, the interaction commences from a frosting piping bag. Compatible with both EA and custom content appliances, it enables Sims to carry out the complete baking process seamlessly. With skill requirements mirroring the original cupcake factory, prepare to indulge in 27 baking and 8 cupcake recipes. The mod mandates the “Get To Work” expansion, ensuring a delectable baking spree!

9. APPLIANCE INSURANCE BY NICKYCLEM1

o0

Say goodbye to recurring repair bills with Nickyclem1’s Appliance Insurance! This mod ensures that when your appliances break down, you’re not left scrambling to pay hefty repair fees every single time. Among the devices covered are Cookers, Ovens, Hobs, Coffee and Tea Machines, Microwaves, Dishwashers, Washing Machines, Dryers, and Fridges.

Securing your appliances is easy. Use your phone’s pie menu to connect with the customer service between Monday to Saturday, 9 am – 5 pm. Once you purchase a policy, automatic deductions are made from your household funds, whether daily, weekly, or seasonally. If a payment is missed, you’ll be notified and can easily revert to automatic payments post-settlement. All members of the household above the age of young adults receive the appliance cover trait upon policy purchase.

Need a repair? Priority appliances, like Cookers, Ovens, and Hobs, are attended to within 5 hours. For non-priority appliances, repairs are scheduled for the next working day. Emergency repairs? It’s accessible from 5 pm – 8 am from Monday to Saturday and 24 hours on Sundays.

10. ASK TO COOK/BAKE/GRILL/MIX DRINK! BY LITTLEMSSAM

oko

This innovative mod enhances your in-game culinary experience by adding new interactions to stoves, grills, and bars. Now, you can request other Sims to prepare a variety of dishes and drinks on your behalf. From asking a Sim to whip up a gourmet dish, bake delightful cupcakes, to grilling the perfect steak, this mod lets you enjoy the luxury of having food prepared for you. Notably, custom cupcakes have been added with unique animations and a shift in skills required for preparation. Additionally, the mod supports experimental food, with a provision for Sims to learn these recipes through cookbooks. For an added layer of realism, NPCs, including butlers, can also be tasked with these culinary requests.

Furthermore, the mod introduces an optional “Fix” for butlers and maids to help tidy up after cooking. This feature ensures that any food cooked by NPCs, which is less than 95% fresh, is put away. This not only enhances gameplay but also ensures that your Sim’s living space remains clean and organized. Whether you’re hosting a grand party or simply want a break from cooking, this mod promises to make your Sims’ culinary adventures more interactive and enjoyable.

11. GRANNIES COOKBOOK BY LITLBOWBUB

jnjn

Discover a whole new culinary experience with Grannies Cookbook, an independent custom food mod tailored for Sims enthusiasts. The cookbook serves as a tangible book object on your Sim’s lot. As a player, you’ll interact with this book to access a diverse food menu, selecting delectable dishes or drinks for your Sim to prepare. Every recipe, from classic Chicken and Dumpling to refreshing Bubble Tea flavors, promises to tantalize the taste buds of your Sim community.

This mod version, as of 02.01.21, encapsulates an array of dishes, desserts, snacks, and drinks. Some iconic dishes include Lasagne Al Pesto, BBQ Ribs and Beans, and Mud Pie, among others. Moreover, thanks to contributions from various dedicated Simmers, Grannies Cookbook is available in multiple languages, such as Chinese, Portuguese, French, and more. To utilize the cookbook, simply place it on your lot, and the pie menu will guide you through your culinary journey.

12. THE SIMS 4 GROCERY STORE MOD BY SMAGEORGE

ppp

With an aim to enhance the gameplay experience, a mod has been introduced that revives the familiar act of grocery shopping in The Sims 4. This initiative has seen the introduction of four authentic objects crafted by simlifecc, allowing Sims to indulge in purchasing fresh produce from stands, selecting the freshest fish from freezers, and handpicking flowers from blooming buckets.

Offering a dual experience, the mod comes in two variations. The first, known as the DIY flavor, integrates elements from the Get to Work expansion, allowing Sims to capitalize on their harvested items by selling them. The second, coined as the ‘traditional’ flavor, provides new grocery shopping interactions, although currently, this doesn’t translate to Sims profiting from their buys.

13. THEE KITCHEN TABLET BY QMBIBI

lmk

Ah, the hassle of in-game dining becoming a tedious task. Introducing the “Thee Kitchen Tablet” mod, a brainchild of the Sims modding community, refined on October 15, 2023. This mod revolutionizes a Sim’s culinary journey. With just a tap, Sims can order ingredients via InstaCart, indulge in delectable dishes from Grubhub or even book catering from The Catering Co.

Hungry for Stirring The Pot recipes? The tablet has you covered. But here’s the twist: ensure you don’t have the “Zeros Food Delivery Mod” because they clash! The mod’s dynamic updates, from expanding ingredient lists to integrating new grub hubs, promise fresh flavors and experiences with each iteration. Remember to check the mod’s prerequisites, such as the Crumbl Cookies Mod Pack or Dunkin & Cinnabon Stall, to maximize its features. Ready for a culinary revolution in your Sim’s life? Dive into “Thee Kitchen Tablet” mod and watch your Sim’s dining world transform!

14. HEALTHY DRINKS BY LITTLEMSSAM

weklm

Ah, the desire for wellness within our beloved Sims universe! Enter the “Healthy Drinks” mod, the refreshing solution for players craving a touch of health consciousness in their gameplay. With a simple interaction with the fridge, Sims can now quench their thirst with a range of invigorating juices. Fancy a Carrot Juice? That’ll cost your Sim 12 Simoleons or just four fresh carrots. How about a mysterious Plasma Juice? Perfect for the vampires amongst us, albeit with the steeper price of 25 Simoleons or five Plasma Fruits.

But these beverages aren’t just for indulgence. Drinking up comes with perks! Sims are rewarded with a one-hour happiness boost, a slight advancement in their fitness skill, and the youth even earn a pinch of responsibility. It’s like sipping tea, but with an added bonus against illnesses. And for those purists out there, there’s an optional add-on to ensure a drink only pops up if its ingredients are in the fridge or the Sim’s inventory. Just remember, the “Healthy Drinks” option remains hidden unless a Sim can indeed whip up one of these nourishing concoctions. Dive in, and let your Sims sip their way to vitality!

15. MCDONALDS BY AROUND THE SIMS 4

food

Ah, the familiar and beloved golden arches, now within the virtual confines of the Sims universe! Introducing the “McDo” set, a delightful nod to the world-renowned McDonald’s. Thanks to the invaluable insights on custom food creation shared by the talented MunMun, Sims aficionados can now treat their characters to the fast-food experience they’ve longed for.

But there’s more to savor beyond the menu. Instead of the mundane plates and glasses, expect your order in distinctive custom packaging that echoes the charm of the real-world fast-food chain. While there aren’t custom thumbnails for these items, the immersive experience they provide more than compensates. And here’s the icing on the burger – every item, be it packaging or appliances, is available in both Simlish and English. So, whether you’re a purist or someone who relishes a touch of realism, this set has got you covered. Rejoice, Simmers, and let your Sims indulge in a virtual McFeast!

BONUS: AIR FRYER MOD BY ICEMUNMUN

0kk

Ah, the insatiable quest to diversify our Sims’ culinary repertoire! Here’s a revelation: the “Air Fryer” set. This isn’t just another kitchen gadget but a gateway to crispy delights, including the much-raved-about Pizza Slice, specially tailored for the pizza aficionados. As the seasons turn, this gadget has evolved. Come September 14th, 2022, the air fryer now champions Canadian Poutine and crispy Chicken Wings. And just when you thought it was enough, by January 15th, 2022, gourmet Burgers joined the lineup.

Delving into the specifics, this chic Air Fryer, priced at a modest 400 Simoleons, is tucked away in the Buy catalog under ‘Small Appliances’. With nine aesthetic presets to match any kitchen decor, it promises an engaging culinary experience. Whether you’re in the mood for a solo meal or cooking for a trio, the Air Fryer’s Recipe Picker menu has you covered. Moreover, these air-fried delicacies aren’t restricted to your Sims’ homes; they’ve made their way to restaurants too! But remember, to unlock the full potential of the Air Fryer, keep the ‘Custom Food Interactions’ mod updated.

Culinary Adventures in The Sims 4

These mods not only mirror our real-world gastronomic cravings but also allow players to immerse themselves more deeply into their Sims’ daily lives. From the whimsical idea of designating specific sinks for dishwashing to the innovative inclusion of air fryers and healthy beverages, these modifications underscore the community’s creativity and the game’s adaptability. Players can now watch their Sims indulge in a diversified palette, from sipping on invigorating juices for wellness to relishing crispy, air-fried wonders.

The Sims 4 Build Spotlight: Croft Manor

I’ve recently found myself rediscovering a lot of games that I used to play while I was growing up, and one of those happened to be Tomb Raider. Upon scrolling through YouTube one evening recently, I came across this build of Croft Manor by RusticSims!

Are you ready for a new Tomb Raiding adventure?

The build itself was created on the 64×64 lot, as ideally is best placed in either Windenburg or Brindleton Bay. RusticSims Croft Manor does utilize some custom content that is detailed in the Croft Manor Walkthrough Video.

I was blown away by the detail in this build, and watching the build come together through the stop-motion video really gave you the sense that you were there building it too.

After watching the stop-motion video of Croft Manor being created, I decided to jump into the game myself and explore the build for myself.

I placed the lot in Windenburg as recommended and, it truly is the perfect place to have Croft Manor.

TS4 x64 2022 09 07 14 04 10

With my Sim channelling their inner Tomb Raider, I began exploring Croft Manor through the eyes of my Sim, and it was great fun! It brought back a lot of memories from navigating through Croft Manor myself in the likes of Tomb Raider II. Spending countless hours playing through the obstacle course (and failing) as well as trapping the Butler in the fridge countless times.

Regardless of where I was within Croft Manor, I was taken aback by the details. How each and every area of the house felt like I was walking through it in the actual Tomb Raider home in one of the games, or how Croft Manor was portrayed in the movies.

Here’s a closer look at some of my favourite screenshots and areas in RusticSims Croft Manor!

TS4 x64 2022 09 07 14 05 00
TS4 x64 2022 09 07 14 46 43

This was such a beautiful build to explore with my Sim and RusticSims version of Croft Manor is perfect! I can’t wait to explore more of their builds in the future.

Be sure to check out Croft Manor and more of RusticSims incredible builds over on The Gallery by searching for the EA ID RusticSims!

For now, I will be living the Tomb Raider life with my Sims in Windenburg. Who knows what they will get up to!
