Update #2: The Sims Russia wrote on Twitter why The Sims 4 is rated 18+ in Russia!
”@TheSimsInRussia 18 + has been assigned in accordance with the law number 436-FZ “On the protection of children from information harmful to their health and development.”

Official The Sims Russia page updated their Facebook cover with 18+ on the right bottom corner.
A fan asked The Sims Russia ”I for one am confused with the 18+?”. The Sims Russia immediately responded with ”Age rating of the game has been upgraded.”.
Not to worry too much though; The Sims 3 too was planned to be rated 18+ in Russia – said a Russian Sims Fansite Rolesim.net.
Security in Russia is tough, and we all know that The Sims 4 developers are trying to keep all content in TS4 12+!
This rating probably won’t affect other The Sims 4 ratings. We’ll make sure to keep you updated when The Sims 4 gets rated in other countries!
