EA releases a hotfix patch for The Sims 4.
There’s a new The Sims 4 Update across PC, Mac and Console platforms Xbox and Playstation. The latest patch addresses several bugs and issues, including the ones introduced with the previous game patch. Such as the body distortions glitch, which should be fixed in this update according to the recent Sims Direct statement.

Installing the Latest Sims 4 Update
You can get the latest The Sims 4 Update on the following official launchers and platforms:
- PC: EA App, Origin, Steam, Epic Games
- Mac: Origin, Steam
- Playstation: PS4 and PS5
- Xbox: Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S
You can download the latest Sims 4 Update by checking for a Patch through the EA App, Steam or Epic Games launcher for Desktop. If you have Automatic Updates enabled the update will automatically download through your client program. In case your EA App is not working properly ensure you’ve cleared your app cache!
If you play The Sims 4 on Xbox Series X / S and Playstation 4 and 5 you can request a new update by checking for updates under The Sims 4 game in the Main Menu. If you’ve enabled automatic updates the Patch should download right away.
Unlike previous Sims 4 Feature Updates, this one is not expected to automatically disable Mods / CC considering it’s a hotfix without any new features.

Bug Fixes: Sims 4 Base Game / Multipack
- Child Sims who were experiencing body deformation have returned to normal proportions.
- Console players can scroll though Tattoos and open Filter Panels with controllers.
- Unit Outlines no longer appear in Build Mode for players who do not own The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies Expansion Pack. Players who own the For Rent Expansion Pack will still be able to use its appropriate functionality on Residential Rental lots.

- [EA Forums] Small Dog Breeds no longer appear distorted in Create a Sim.

I wish they would fix the stupid weather bug. Haven’t been able to use my seasons expansion in month’s. Always raining and snowing inside every.single.building. It’s so frustrating!!!
me too!! i think this was their idea of a “quick” hotfix patch, despite the fact that it took more than a week to deliver
Seasons is another Dine Out/My Wedding Stories at this rate. Also plants still reset/refuse to grow so that makes Cottage Living useless as well as Seasons.
That’s it? How about corruption issue on lots and items? Fishing in Island Living? Weather inside? Vampire features? Animals stuck in inventory? Vampire/Werewolf run? Graphic errors and ceilings? smh!
What are the issues with the things you mentioned?
I did notice Sims cancel/reset if you try to feed on Sims. You can ask but you can’t compel for a deep feed. Also some quirks will cause Vampires to act like they’re thirsty and replay the same animation over and over again. I think it was the one where they’ll feel bad if they drink from someone quirk.
I don’t have any of those issues. But I’m on console
They still haven’t fix the ubrite commons issue where the vendor doesn’t show up and multiple sims spawn when you arrive
Does anyone else not have toddlers be able to have makeup?? i thought they can?
Not you putting makeup on a toddler…
they might just mean CC that adds realistic face textures like eyelids or lip skin rather than actual “makeup”, I know a lot of people do that.
All my kids are looking abnormal after this patch update. Before the update only two kids were, but now ALL of them look freaky.
How do they always fix a bug when it’s inappropriate but cannot fix a bug when it’s blatantly in your face for more than a month and after an expansion pack and few kit releases.
So you CAN do it if you WANT to. I see.
does anyone know how to fix a build menu where everything is in the wrong spot and on-top of each other? it’s really hard to navigate through because I’m just guessing where things are
Happens to me also. A tip I llearned. Try using the floor up and down keys to make sure the object you are placing is not trying to go onto another level. The walls up and down also help getting walls out of the way to place objects. I also have deleted walls in my way and then rebuilt them after place objects. Hope it helps
