SPECULATION: New Clues for The Sims 4 Expansion Pack 7 releasing in June 2019

Voice actors are once again teasing the production of the next big pack for The Sims 4!

Back in December 2018 we’ve managed to predict the release of The Sims 4 StrangerVille Game Pack all thanks to the voice actors who have been posting various teasers on their social media platforms. With various Simlish snippets shared by Krizia Bajos, one of many voice actors working on The Sims 4, we can now know exactly that they’ve been working on The Sims 4 StrangerVille just 2 months before the pack came out. You can read more about that HERE!

However, it seems that the talented bunch are back again in The Sims Studio working on the next big thing. Krizia Bajos, Scott Whyte and Cia Court, one of many voice actors have shared that they’re currently in San Francisco, California working on the next Sims 4 project.

This time around they haven’t shared any specific snippets (just yet) of their Simlish voiceover sessions but they did indeed confirm with multiple posts on Instagram that they’ve gathered for another Sims 4 voiceover session.

Krizia Bajos has also shared a few interesting stories on her Instagram of her walking to the EA offices and interacting with Robi Kauker, one of the sound designers and masterminds of the Simlish language for The Sims 4.

Right now there are no official simlish snippets shared by the voice actors but we’ll make sure to update you if they surface in the meantime!

Currently we know two things. One of them is the fact that the voice actors are working on a new Sims 4 Pack that, according to previous patterns, will release in the next 2-3 months. Let’s take a quick look at previous scenarios where voice actors have teased working on a Sims 4 project before its official announce / release:

  • The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack – teased by composer Illan Eshkeri in late September 2016 (the pack came out in January 2017)
  • The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack – teased by voice actors between March and April 2018 (the pack came out in June 2018)
  • The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack – teased by voice actors between August and March 2018 (the pack came out in November 2018)
  • The Sims 4 StrangerVille Game Pack – teased by voice actors in late December 2018 (the pack came out in February 2019)

Considering that they’ve just started teasing their next Sims 4 project, we should expect a new Sims 4 Pack to come out in June 2019. However, this isn’t the only clue we’ve got about a big release happening in June…

Just a few days ago The Sims Team has announced the termination of 32-bit (Windows) and Non-Metal (Mac) OS support for The Sims 4 that’s all about to go down in June 2019. Considering that this is a huge switch for The Sims 4 could it be that it’s all leading up to a big pre-patch for The Sims 4’s next Expansion Pack?

Also, EA Play is being held once again in Hollywood in June. Although we don’t have any information which EA titles will be present at this event just yet, we do know that The Sims 4 Seasons was present last year which had the exact same time of teasers being posted by the voice actors. Could the same scenario happen for The Sims 4’s 7th Expansion Pack? Time will tell…

It seems our post related to Spa Day and My First Pet Packs being the least popular packs in The Sims 4 Series has caused quite a friction!

SimGuruLyndsay has decided to reveal what are some of the most popular packs for The Sims 4 by listing all the packs from least to most popular. The way that these packs have been ranked is by how much players have been using the pack in the first year of the pack’s release. The Sims 4 was among Top 10 PC Games for January 2019

4

SuperData Research, a Nielsen Company analyzing the popularity, sales and other insight related to video games has recently published a list of the most popular video games for January 2019!

In their report they’ve listed The Sims 4 for PC/Mac on the 9th position, right above World Of Tanks and below DOTA 2.

You can see the full report in the image they’ve shared down below:

Worldwide digital game spending declined on Console, PC and Mobile in January. Consumers spent $8.4 billion on digital games across all platforms in January, down 6% year-over-year. Premium PC had the biggest drop off of any platform with a 29% decline. Meanwhile, console revenue also decreased by 3% even including a favorable comparison from Fortnite due to tepid performance from top Premium Console franchises such as Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty, FIFA and Overwatch.

The Sims Team wants to know what’s your favorite Sims Content Theme

59

GrimSuruDoi, one of the developers working on The Sims 4 has shared an interesting thread over on The Sims Forums. Every year he likes to start a March Madness competition for the entire Sims Team to participate in. Previously they’ve done voting for the best movies, series theme songs and more but this year they want to get more involved with the community.

In their 2019 March Madness the entire Sims Team has decided to put together an interesting graph with multiple content themes that have been covered in The Sims Franchise. Those include Legacies, Superstars, Students, Time Travelers and many more.

In this voting you’ll be able to choose your favorite Content Theme and find out which aspect in The Sims Franchise is the community’s favorite!

Please note that this is just a fun little competition made by The Sims Team for the simming community and probably won’t have any impact on prioritizing what the next few packs for The Sims 4 could be.

SPECULATION: The Sims 4’s Next Expansion Could Arrive This June

PLEASE NOTE: This post is pure speculation and contains no confirmed information about The Sims 4’s next Expansion Pack release date!

Buckle up because it’s time for another speculation post! This time around we suspect that The Sims 4’s Expansion Pack 7 could be arriving soon – specifically – in June 2019.

The Sims Team’s latest announcement that they’ll be pushing out a new update for The Sims 4 that will terminate all ongoing support for 32-bit (Windows) and Non-Metal (Mac) systems could be telling a lot about the next Expansion Pack release. In case you don’t know, the game is getting an upgrade that will make The Sims 4 exclusive to 64-bit on Windows and Metal Mac OS systems for technical reasons. For more detailed information on that check out their announcement and our article about if your computer will be able to support The Sims 4 after June 2019!

The Sims Team will be doing this upgrade in June 2019. However, considering that they’ve mentioned the fact that “You will be able to purchase and play all Stuff, Game and Expansion packs released between September 2, 2014 and February 26, 2019” it could very likely mean that the next big paid release that they’re preparing for is happening exactly in June.

This isn’t the first time that The Sims Team has decided to upgrade The Sims 4 just days before an Expansion Pack release. Back in December 2015 The Sims Team issued an important update for The Sims 4 allowing 64-bit operating system users to enjoy the game fully and even choose to play between the 32-bit and 64-bit version options in the Origin Game Properties. What’s interesting is that this big switch has been made just 4 days before the release of The Sims 4 Get Together Expansion Pack.

Sure, this doesn’t mean that the same scenario will happen all over again but if it does, it definitely won’t be the first time.

SPECULATION: The Sims 4’s Next Expansion Could Arrive This June

Will Your Computer Support The Sims 4 after June 2019? Here’s how to check!

Will Your Computer Support The Sims 4 after June 2019? Here’s how to check!

There’s been some concern following the recent announcement that The Sims 4 will no longer be supporting Non-Metal Macs or 32-bit PCs as of June 2019.

Many Simmers don’t know what this means and don’t know how to check if their computer will be supported after June.

Here is how to check if your computer will be supported after June 2019:

For Windows

  • Right-click the Windows START button. It’s the Windows symbol in the bottom left corner of your desktop.
  • Select System from the drop-down menu.
  • Scroll down to System Specifications and look at System Type
  • If it says 64-bit, you’re good. Your computer will still be supported after June. If it says 32-bit, your computer will not be supported.

For Mac

The following Mac models support Metal:

  • MacBook models introduced in 2015 or later
  • MacBook Air models introduced in 2012 or later
  • MacBook Pro models introduced in 2012 or later
  • Mac mini models introduced in 2012 or later
  • iMac models introduced in 2012 or later
  • iMac Pro (all models)
  • Mac Pro models introduced in late 2013, plus mid-2010 or mid-2012 models with a recommended Metal-capable graphics card

source: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT205073

What do I do if My Computer is no Longer Supported?

If your computer model is not supported, you will need to upgrade to a supported model in order to have continued access to The Sims 4 and all its future updates, packs, and online features.

However, The Sims Team will be releasing The Sims 4: Legacy Edition for previous players of The Sims 4 who no longer have supported computers. The Sims 4: Legacy Edition will be the completed game up to StrangerVille, but will not have any future updates or packs available for it. The Sims 4: Legacy Edition will not have online access to the Gallery.

For more information on how this change will affect current players, please refer to our article, The Sims Team Announces Termination of The Sims 4’s 32-bit and Non-Metal Mac OS Versions.
