Sims 4 Players who play on Max graphics settings have an extra upgrade.
If you've been bothered by stuttered shadows in The Sims 4 for the past few years - you're not the only one. The Sims 4 Dynamic Shadows were somewhat a thing from the launch of The Sims 4 in 2014 up until 2015 around Get Together's release, when EA reverted the outdoor lighting shadow to move every 5 seconds instead of one sim second.
Now, if you play The Sims 4 on Ultra Settings, you can enjoy the new Sims 4 Dynamic Shadows yourself. This time having no delay in casting shadows as your Sims rotate around the Sim globe.

Thanks to the performance upgrades and engine improvements, newer Windows and Mac laptops and Desktops will be able to enjoy better usage of Sims 4 Graphics. Now including dynamic shadows!
I'm assuming that Dynamic Shadows will be enabled on current gen video game consoles like Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. Sims 4 Dynamic Shadows probably won't be possible on PS4 and Xbox One.
