The Sims 4 High School Years comes with a carnival area in the new world of Copperdale. While it is a fun place to check out, it’s not located on a lot so players can’t really customize their carnival experience or edit the space to add new activities.
Want a carnival lot in your game? Download this amazing lot for your Sims to visit!
The good news is that the carnival attractions are all located in the debug build menu and retain their functionality when placed on a lot from the debug catalogue. This has led to a huge boom of amazing carnival lots being uploaded to the Gallery by talented builders in the community!
Today we’re checking out this incredible amusement park built for the Oasis Springs park lot by AllGeek_Sims! This lot really stood out for us not only because it’s beautiful, but also because of how many activities our Sims can enjoy here! We love lots that have lots of different activities since the worlds in The Sims 4 are small and the number of lots limited. Building lots that serve many functions at once is the only way to experience everything in the game.
Let’s take a tour of this amusement park, shall we?
We love the entrance with a ticket stand and the nearby parking lot. It adds to the realism of the build and we feel like we’re really entering an amusement park in the real world! However, the real fun begins once you pass the entrance.
Inside, there’s an adorable ice cream and snack stand with picnic tables right near the entrance. The area is strung up with lights. We imagine this would be a lovely area at night when the lights are all lit! A little farther down the path and we come across two arcade machines, bubble blowers, and a juice keg! This section of the park is bound to get a little rowdy if your Sims are into that!
There’s swing sets, a ping pong table, and a bowling alley underneath a beautiful townhouse set with hot air balloons and a rainbow floating above! Wow! And on the other side of the park, visitors can enjoy an afternoon of roller blading beneath another very cool backdrop set!
Of course, a carnival wouldn’t be a carnival without any rides so when your Sims want to cozy up with their crush or simply take in the amazing views of the entire park all at once, they can go for a ride on the ferris wheel. We think the ferris wheel is a great way to impress a date!
This amusement park has no CC and can be downloaded from the Gallery! Just search the ID AllGeek and look for the build called OASIS PARQUE DE DIVERSÃO or click the download button below to be taken right to the build’s Gallery page!
With so many recipes being added all the time, it’s handy to have a Sims 4 recipe list you can easily refer to online without the need to click through a bunch of menus in-game. We get it! Over the years, The Sims has expanded not just its recipe selection but many of its core cooking mechanics as well, adding new ingredients, new appliances, and new ways to enjoy cooking.
A Sims 4 recipe list with every food and beverage recipe at your fingertips!
At this point, it’s safe to say that cooking in The Sims 4 is somewhat of an immersive mini game in itself. With so many ingredients, recipes, and different ways to unlock special recipes, players could easily sink hours of their time into the cooking aspect of the game alone.
That’s why our ultimate Sims 4 recipe list is here to help avid chefs hit their stride in the kitchen. You can save lots of time deciding on what your Sims should cook and what ingredients they’ll need by referring to our easy-to-read master guide. No need to click through a bunch of in-game menus to locate that one recipe. You’ll know exactly where to find it now.

The Ultimate Sims 4 Recipe List
You’ll find every consumable recipe below in our Sims 4 recipe list. When we say every recipe, we mean every recipe. From special unlockable dishes to drinks to herbal remedies and even magic potions. If your Sims can make it and consume it, you can bet it’s on this list.
Recipes in our Sims 4 recipe list are sorted by the appliance your Sims use to make that dish. So if you’re looking for ice cream recipes, click to the ice cream section to find all the recipes you can create with the ice cream maker. If you want to know how to make a bar drink, go to the bar drink section to find every drink your Sims can learn to mix at a bar. This makes our Sims 4 recipe list super easy to navigate.
See a recipe in our Sims 4 recipe list you can’t find in your game? Some recipes need to be unlocked, first. Luckily, almost all unlockable recipes in the game are unlocked by simply eating that dish. Look at the pack that recipe comes with and try that dish while out exploring that pack. For example, travel to Selvadorada and eat food from the vendors there or explore San Myshuno and order lots of different things from the food stands around the city. Your Sim will need to have the skill indicated in our Sims 4 recipe list in order to learn that recipe by eating it, so remember that, too!
Sims 4 Recipe List: Legend
With the addition of Home Chef Hustle, you now have the option to replace one or more ingredients with prepped ingredients from the stand mixer. This can sometimes make reading online recipe guides confusing. To help, we’ve written out our Sims 4 recipe list in a specific way to help you know when you can replace an ingredient with prepped ingredients.
If you do not want to use prepped ingredients in-game, just uncheck the Use Prepped Ingredients box at the top of the recipe list and you will see the original recipe without the prepped ingredients listed.
Recipe Example
Meaning
Food or Prepped Ingredient
Replace just that food with the prepped ingredient
Food Food or Prepped Ingredient
Replace all foods listed above with the prepped ingredient. Do not replace any foods listed under the prepped ingredient unless stated.
Prepped Ingredient (optional)
The Prepped Ingredient can be added to the existing recipe if using Prepped Ingredients
You’ll also notice that we’ve included pack icons for every recipe in our Sims 4 recipe list. The pack icons indicate which pack that recipe is from; however, it’s important to note that ingredients for most dishes are cross-pack now. This means that a dish from one pack may use ingredients from a different pack. So if you don’t see all the ingredients listed here in your game for every dish, that is likely the reason.
Also, some dishes require you to have 2 packs in order to make that dish. Others come with multiple packs and if you own either pack, you will have access to that dish. For easier reading of our Sims 4 recipe list, here is how to read our pack icons.
Icons
Meaning
O
This recipe requires this pack; however, you may or may not need all listed ingredients depending on your full pack collection.
O+O
This recipe requires you to own both packs.
O/O
This recipe requires you to own at least one of these packs.
Cooking Recipes
Unsurprisingly, the vast majority of the cooking recipes in the game utilize either the oven or the stovetop. In fact, there are so many oven and stovetop recipes that they’ve been sub-sorted into different filters. Players can now sort their recipes by vegetarian dishes, lactose free meals, meat-based dishes, seafood, and sweets. For easier browsing, we’ve listed recipes for our Sims 4 recipe list in every category they fall under, so you may see the same recipe listed more than once in different categories if that recipe applies to both categories.
If you see an asterisk (*) in front of a dish name, it indicates an error in the game. There are a few recipes that are incorrectly categorized. We included them in our Sims 4 recipe list because that’s how they are listed in the game but the asterisk indicates that it is not supposed to be in that category.

Gourmet Cooking Recipes
One thing that makes cooking in The Sims 4 unique is that homestyle cooking and gourmet cooking are two separate skillsets. If your Sims really want to be admired as a chef, they’ll want to graduate from homestyle cooking to gourmet cooking at some point. How do you do that? By cooking a lot (with the help of our Sims 4 recipe list, of course)! Your Sims will unlock the Gourmet Cooking skill when they reach level 5 in the Cooking skill. Once they do this, new gourmet recipes will open up for them.
To make a gourmet dish, click on any fridge, stove, and/or oven and choose Make a Gourmet Meal. Like the Cooking recipes, Gourmet Cooking recipes are sorted by filters, so we’ll sort our Sims 4 recipe list by filter too for easier navigating in-game.

There are plenty of vegetarian gourmet dishes to choose from in this Sims 4 recipe list, so vegetarian Sims will be happy to have more options.

Baking Recipes
Yes, we know it’s weird to have Baking as a separate skill when you can also “bake” numerous sweets, breads, and desserts with the Cooking skill. Don’t ask us, we didn’t come up with the idea. However, for players who own the Get To Workexpansion pack, Baking is a new skill that will unlock a bunch more tasty sweets and breads to make in the oven so it’s worth covering in our Sims 4 recipe list.
The baked goods menu is not sub-categorized which makes sense, since the vast majority of the selection is just sweets. However, for Sims with dietary restrictions, each recipe still has the dietary info which you can see below in our Sims 4 recipe list.

Grand Meal Recipes
But wait! There’s more to The Sims 4 recipe list! With the Seasonsexpansion pack, Sims can cook large holiday meals that can feed up to 12 Sims instead of 8. While they are intended to feed a large family during important holidays, Sims can make a grand meal on any day they wish. None of the grand meals require any cooking skill, either. This isn’t exactly realistic but it is handy!
The grand meal menu is not sub-categorized which makes sense, since there’s only five dishes to choose from. However, for Sims with dietary restrictions, each recipe still has the dietary info which is indicated in our Sims 4 recipe list.

Sims who have unlocked the Gourmet Cooking skill by reaching level 5 Cooking skill can learn to make these dishes themselves at home after eating it at a restaurant; however, they can only be made on the restaurant kitchen sets that come with the Dine Out pack. Sweets
Strangely, there are no experimental recipes to add to our Sims 4 recipe list under the Sweets category. This is an odd choice, considering that the Vanilla Sea Shells and Chocolate Caviar, Vertical Berry Cake, and World Fruit Charcuterie could all be considered sweet recipes, given their names and ingredients.
Wedding Cake Recipes
Our Sims 4 recipe list would not be complete without wedding cakes! The ability to bake wedding cakes comes with the My Wedding Stories game pack. Sims who want to save some money on their wedding can bake their own wedding cake at home on any oven but they’ll need some Gourmet Cooking skill if they want to make anything more elaborate than a simple cupcake display.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream in our Sims 4 recipe list! For players who own theCool Kitchenstuff pack, they’ll have access to the compact, countertop ice cream maker, which will allow them to whip up some tasty ice cream and sherbet treats in either an edible cone or a bowl. Oh, and did we mention children can make ice cream with the ice cream maker?
All ice cream varieties in our Sims 4 recipe list can also have extra toppings added to them for a touch of personalization. Some ice cream flavours even have surprising effects, such as making your Sim super slim or temporarily turning them into a PlantSim or ghost!
None of the ice cream recipes require ingredients but they do require Cooking skill, so spend some time building that skill if you want to have access to the full range of ice cream. Here’s all the ice cream in our Sims 4 recipe list.

Herbal Remedies
While not technically food, herbal remedies are still consumable by Sims so we’ve included them in our Sims 4 recipe list. To start making herbal remedies, you must have the Outdoor Retreat game pack installed. Then travel to Granite Falls on a vacation and start gathering insects and herbs. Once you have some of these, click on any grill or stove and choose Brew Herbal Remedy.
Making Herbal Remedies builds the Herbalism skill so keep brewing remedies to unlock more powerful remedies that can help your Sims stay fresher longer, calm their emotions, and even conceive a baby!
For players who own a pack that comes with a firepit, such as Outdoor Retreat or Little Campers, you’ll be able to cook over an open fire in the great outdoors! Just place a firepit down, light it, and start cooking using our Sims 4 recipe list!
While some recipes don’t require any ingredients to make, others will be greyed out unless you have the ingredients in your Sim’s inventory. However, none of the campfire recipes require Cooking skill! Is that dangerous? … Meh!

Buffet Table Recipes
Buffet tables come with a few different packs. They were first introduced in the Luxury Partystuff pack, and made reappearances in the My Wedding Stories game pack and High School Years expansion pack.
While Sims are able to cook anything they want and stock the buffet tables with that, they also have the option to instantly stock the table with any of the dishes listed below in our Sims 4 recipe list. This can be super handy if your Sims don’t have the Cooking skill to make the dish themselves or don’t have ingredients on-hand for those dishes. However, it will cost them simoleons to insta-stock the buffet table.
Additionally, there are a few dishes available on the buffet table that can’t be acquired any other way, such as Roast Duck, Sweet Buns, and Tartosian Fruit Tarts.

Drink Fountain Recipes
Drink fountains come with a few different packs. They were first introduced in the Luxury Party stuff pack, and made reappearances in the My Wedding Stories game pack and High School Years expansion pack. They are intended to be paired with the buffet tables and placed on top of them, but the drink fountain can also be placed on any counter.
Stocking a drink fountain can be an easy way to keep the drinks flowing at a party without having to shell out money on a mixologist. The drink fountain also has some unique food and drink not available anywhere else, like caramel and cheese fondue. You can see all the options below in our Sims 4 recipe list.

Bar Drink Recipes
Sims who like a nice drink at the end of a long, hard day have plenty of options to choose from at the bar if they have enough Mixology skill. From simple sparkling water to fine nectars and fancy mixed drinks, your Sims have no shortage of fun ways to satisfy their thirst. If they had a thirst motive. Which they don’t. Unless they’re a vampire. But vampires would rather drink plasma. Anyway, you get what we’re saying.
Bar drinks don’t require ingredients in most cases; however, there are a few special drinks that do require ingredients. All drinks except water and Wolf-B-Gone cost simoleons to make. Our Sims 4 recipe list breaks down all the info.

Fizzy Juice Recipes
Fizzy Juices are an interesting Sims 4 recipe list addition because they are largely based on experimentation. Fizzy Juice comes with the Eco Lifestyle expansion pack and they have their own Juice Fizzing skill.
To start juice fizzing, you’ll need to buy a juice fizzing station in the Build/Buy catalogue and place it down on a lot. Then you’ll need some ingredients. We recommend starting with basic fruits like apples, grapes, and any other easily acquired fruit. This is because you can start making fizzy fruit juices right away at level 1 of the Juice Fizzing skill. As you build your skill, you’ll also be able to use flowers and herbs to make kombucha and other more unique flavours on the Sims 4 recipe list.
To make fizzy juice, place between 1 and 5 ingredients in the juice fizzer. Then start fizzing some juice! How many items you put in the fizzer determines how much juice you’ll get. Putting 1 ingredient in will give you one bottle of fizzy juice. Putting 2 in will give you a pack of 6 bottles. There doesn’t seem to be any benefit to putting in more than 2 because you’ll still get a pack of 6 with 5 ingredients in the fizzer, but you can still put in up to 5 ingredients all the same so we’ve put that on our Sims 4 recipe list.
What makes fizzy juice truly unique is the customizability of your fizzy juices. For example, if you put apples into the fizzer, you’ll get Fizzy Apple Juice. Putting grapes in the fizzer gives you Fizzy Grape Juice. These are both the same type of fizzy fruit juice but their effects can be different. Depending on what type of fruit you put in the fizzer, the resulting bottle of fizzy juice could make your Sim Happy or Inspired or Confident or Energized… you get the idea! Play around with different combinations in our Sims 4 recipe list to see which ingredients do what!
And for an added touch of personalization, you don’t have to stick with the default name of your fizzy juice. You can name your juice blends yourself and really go all in on a brand if you’re planning on making a profit. Our Sims 4 recipe list uses the default names.

Nectar Recipes
You might have noticed when looking at the bar drinks in our Sims 4 recipe list that your Sims are able to serve up glasses of some types of nectar at the bar, no ingredients required. However, if you truly want to make finely aged nectar of impeccable quality in larger batches, you’ll want to start making your own nectar.
Nectar making comes with the Horse Ranch expansion pack and it comes along with its own Nectar Making skill. To get started with nectar from our Sims 4 recipe list, buy a nectar maker and a nectar rack from the Build/Buy catalogue and place it on a lot. Then gather up some ingredients. Apples and grapes are a great place to start. Now you’re ready to start making nectar!
When you finish making a bottle of nectar on this Sims 4 recipe list, you can open the bottle and drink it right away, but if you want to increase the nectar’s value and overall quality, you should store it in a nectar rack and leave it there until it’s Finely Aged. For highly skilled nectar makers, this aging process will take about a week in-game. You can also name your blends for an added touch of personalization.

Potion Recipes
Potions?! Really?! Yes, really. When we set out to make this Sims 4 recipe list, we were determined to include every item Sims can create themselves and consume. Potions fall within these guidelines so let’s learn about potions!
Potions come with the Realm of Magicgame pack and potion making is an activity that can only be done by Spellcasters. So if you want to make potions on this Sims 4 recipe list, you’ll have to send your Sim to the Magic Realm through the portal in Glimmerbrook and ask one of the Sages to cast the Rite of Ascension on them, first. Once your Sim is officially a Spellcaster, it’s time to get them a cauldron and start brewing magical concoctions!
Potions are rather unique on this Sims 4 recipe list because you won’t always be using food as ingredients for your magical brews. Everything from crystals to frogs and even MySims trophies are fair game in potions! Which potions you can brew also depends on your Spellcaster rank; however, you’ll have to discover the potion recipe through magical tomes, experimentation, or learning from the Sages before you can brew it.

Popular series The Real Housewives follows the personal and professional lives of women living in a specific city. One thing these women are known for are their fashion tastes. Ice-Cream for Breakfast has created an elegant set of dresses and one body suit for the fashionable “Housewives” in your saves!
Give your Sims the The Real Housewives style without the price tag!
Each of the dresses and jumpsuit are named after an iconic Housewife from The Sims 4 including Judith Ward from Del Sol Valley, Nancy Landgraab, Nina, and Dina Caliente from Oasis Springs, Bella Goth from Willow Creek, and Anaya Jang from San Myshuno.
These two dresses are almost identical except for the color of the sequin trim. Their almost identical nature mirrors that of Nina and Dina Caliente for whom they are named after. Each mini-dress has a sequin collar with a scallop sequin trim. The Nina version has gold sequins and the Dina version has silver sequins.
The Nancy dress is named after Nancy Landgraab. Ice-Cream for Breakfast describes it as “a very 2000’s dress with a ruffle hem and sequins on the upper part and ruffles.”
The Judith dress, named after celebrity Judith Ward, has the style of Old Hollywood. It is an off the shoulder dress that is full length. The sleeves are lace and there is also a lace overlay.
Named after Anaya Jang from San Myshuno. The Anaya Jumpsuit is an asymmetrical jumpsuit. It comes with a metallic belt (six shade accessory overlays included) and an additional five patterned swatches.

When I started making poses for The Sims 4, I would use pose accessories made by other creators and link to them in my sets. The problem with this was that the accessory wasn’t guaranteed to always be available. Creators delete their blogs without warning all the time, rendering my poses unusable.
This frustrated me so I learned how to make my own accessories. Today, I’m going to show you how I convert in-game objects into pose accessories!
Table of Contents
What You Will Need
Blender 2.70 (you can also use 3.3 if you have updated to S4S Star)
The Sims 4 Studio
Any image editing software. I use Photoshop CS6 but Paint.NET is a great free alternative.
Knowledge of how to use Blender and S4S. This is not a beginner tutorial. You should already know your way around these programs.
Open S4S. Type in your Creator name and choose CAS > Create 3D Mesh
Press CTRL+SHIFT+C to bring up the cheat console and type in object-preview
Find an object you want to turn into a pose accessory. If you want to use a debug object, check the Show Debug box.
Export the mesh and diffuse texture and close the window.
Find a base game CAS accessory. I recommend the eyeball ring. It’s base game and compatible with long sleeves.
Export the mesh.
Make Your Accessory
Open the CAS accessory in Blender and append the object you want to convert to an accessory
Delete the original CAS accessory and rename the new object to s4studio_mesh_1
Move the object you appended to the Sim’s hand where it feels natural for them to hold it
Switch to Edit Mode and select the entire object
Under the Scene tab, in the S4Studio CAS Tools section, set the Type to GEOM and the Cut to 0000. IMPORTANT: If you are using Blender 3.3, you will not see a Type option here. That is fine. Just change the cut number to 0000.
This tutorial was made with Blender 2.70. If using Blender 3.3, the Scene tab will be along the side instead of the top.
Under the Object Data tab, in the Vertex Groups section, delete everything listed.
This tutorial was made with Blender 2.70. If using Blender 3.3, the Object Data tab will be along the side instead of the top.
Click the + to add a new group, and rename it to either b__L_Stigmata (left hand) or b__R_Stigmata (right hand)
Click Assign. The object will not move with the hand unless you assign it. If you don’t see the Assign button, make sure the object is still selected in Edit Mode.
In the UV panel, select Open. Open the file called UVGuideForSims from the resources you downloaded at the start of the tutorial
Make sure the object is still selected in Edit Mode. You should see its UV map on the UV Guide. Resize as necessary and move to fit completely inside the Hat section. R rotates, G moves, S resizes.
Select UVs > Export UV Layout and save it.
Open your image editing program. Open the UV layout and the object’s original texture. Move and resize the texture layer as necessary to fit perfectly over the UV map. Delete the UV layer and save as a .png file.
Final Touches
Open the package file containing the original CAS accessory. Import your new mesh for all LODs.
Import the diffuse texture you just edited. Under Shadow and Specular, import the blank Shadow and Specular files included in the resources linked at the beginning of the tutorial.
In the Categories tab, customize whatever you like. Age group, CAS category, gender, etc. I recommend unchecking Enable for Random.
Save the package file, move it to your Mods folder and test in CAS. If done correctly, your accessory should be attached to the Sim’s wrist and move with the Sim.
And now you have a new pose accessory to use in your pose sets!

Project Rene: What’s Deal With the Name?
Lyndsay Pearson presenting “Project Rene” at The Sims Summit
First off, if you’ve been hearing “Project Rene” flying around, that’s just the codename for The Sims 5. Game developers often use codenames in the early stages of a game’s creation. For example, The Sims 4 went by the codename “Project Olympus” before its big debut. Every game has its special beginnings and during the ‘Behind the Sims Summit’ in October, Pearson laid it out clearly: “We chose Project Rene because it’s reminiscent of words like renewal, renaissance, and rebirth, and it represents our renewed commitment to The Sims.”
The Sims 5 Features We’re All Waiting For!
With the recent unveiling of Project Rene, EA has lit up the community with early glimpses into the forthcoming gameplay and features. Lyndsay Pearson, the VP of Creative at The Sims Franchise, shared that while Project Rene remains years from its official launch, the developers are committed to offering players an insider’s view throughout its development journey. This commitment rings true with promises of transparent updates, sneak peeks, early access opportunities, and much more.
1. Unveiling A New Dimension: Apartments in Project Rene
Preview of Apartment Rooms.
One of the most thrilling revelations from the recent EA Playtest is the introduction of apartments – a feature previously unseen in base game iterations of The Sims series. Previews from the Behind The Sims Summit tantalize fans with snapshots of what apartments might look like in the final release, though it’s crucial to remember that the game’s nascent development stage means features could evolve.
These early showcases depict intricately detailed apartment interiors with elevated rooms and interconnected spaces. A noticeable hint suggesting a move away from the traditional ‘Rabbit Hole Apartments’ can be gleaned from these previews. Furthermore, UI snippets hint at a user-friendly “Apartment selection” tool, emphasizing the malleability of each apartment space.
2. Open Neighborhoods: The New Open World?
Preview of Open Neighborhoods.
Okay, so there’s been a lot of chatter in the community: Is The Sims 5 going full-on open world? It’s got a lot of us on our toes, curious about the twists and turns the gameplay might take. But hold on to your Plumbobs, because the word on the street (or should we say, the internet leaks) hints that The Sims 5 might roll out an “open neighborhood” concept. Picture this: mini open worlds, all linked together. Kind of like the best of both worlds, right? And we’re so here for it!
3. Creating Communities: Will the Sims 5 Be Multiplayer?
In a recent earnings call, someone popped the big question to EA’s big boss, Andrew Wilson: are there any plans to bring back an online version of The Sims? Andrew’s answer was exciting, to say the least. He mentioned that while Maxis remains committed to the core elements of the Sims – you know, creation, escapism, and self-improvement – they’re also keen on reintroducing elements of social interaction and friendly competition. Exactly the things that made The Sims Online so special back in the day.
Andrew highlighted that The Sims community is bigger than ever, and we’re all connecting and sharing our in-game creations like never before. Players will have the choice to play a single-player experience or collaborate with others through online multiplayer, showing off their creative skills and comparing builds. And what’s even better, players that collaborate will have access to each others content. Sounds fun, right?
4. Play The Sims 5 Your Way – On Any Platform!
Project Rene Apartments – Preview of the Exterior
That’s right; dive into your Sim’s life whether you’re lounging with your PC or on-the-go with your mobile. While we’ve been eagerly absorbing every corner of Project Rene, the biggest game-changer is the promise of a unified Sims experience across different devices.
Although Maxis has kept it to a minimum about the official launch platforms for The Sims 5, those who tuned into the ‘Behind the Sims Summit’ got a sneak peek. We witnessed the magic of the game running smoothly on a PC setup and—a mobile device! Pearson captured our collective excitement perfectly: “No matter who you may want to play with, we want you to be able to play wherever you want.”
5. More Power to You with Create-A-Sim!
Ever wished you could give your Sim that exact shade of sunset orange or that intricate braid you saw on your last vacation? Well, it seems like The Sims team has been listening closely! Azure, one of the producers, recently got into how crucial hairstyles are in reflecting our individuality, stating, “How we contribute to our look and how we present ourselves is so important! And it’s really no different for Sims.”
It’s clear that the developers want our Sims to shine and shimmer with as much authenticity as possible. While the lid’s still pretty tight on most things ‘Create a Sim’, here’s a little nugget for you: Hair is getting a major upgrade. The aim? To embrace the sheer diversity of styles that represent humanity in all its vibrant variety. And if you’ve ever felt limited by the color palette, here’s some good news – they’re delving deep into “flexible coloring” options. Imagine the possibility of coloring your Sim’s hair with shades that transition from deep blue at the roots to a sparkling teal at the tips!
6. Crafting a Personalized World in the Sims 5!
Early preview of Object Customization
From the teasers at the Behind the Sims Summit, it’s evident that Maxis is placing a premium on user creativity. The revamped Build Mode introduces granular controls, allowing players to adjust colors and patterns akin to The Sims 3’s Create-a-Style, and even morph the very shape of objects, crafting pieces of furniture like beds and sofas to their exact liking!
Project Rene / The Sims 5 Preview
Further enhancing the experience, the initial showcases have unveiled the ability to tweak intricate details such as the style of a bed’s headboard or the segments of a sofa. The cherry on top? Gamers can individually place and adjust throw cushions, a testament to the depth of customization available. With these advancements, The Sims 5 is gearing up to be an unparalleled haven for builders, ensuring their creative visions can come to life in the most intricate ways possible.
7. Shedding Light on Innovation: Advanced Lighting!
The Sims 5 / Project Rene – Lightning and Visuals
In the realm of gaming, visuals play a paramount role in immersion, and the developers of The Sims 5 have left no stone unturned in this aspect. The recent snippets shared from the game’s development reveal a focus on enhancing the player experience through the magic of advanced lighting technologies. With customizable spaces being a core component of The Sims series, the newest installment promises to illuminate these creations like never before!
Stu, the Art & Visual Director, shares his insights: “Lighting isn’t just about visibility; it’s about storytelling. It’s the subtle glint in a Sim’s eye, the dramatic shadows in a room, or the cozy ambiance of a sunset through a window. We’re diving deep into innovative lighting technologies that not only elevate the look of the game but also pave the way for players to weave emotionally resonant stories.” Ensuring an optimal gaming experience, these enhancements are tailored to dazzle on a range of devices, from PCs to mobile phones!
8. Deciphering Emotions: “Read the Room”
The Sims 5 Animations and Postures
One of the standout features that’s sure to make its mark in The Sims 5 is the depth of emotional representation and interaction. The phrase “read the room” isn’t just a catchy tagline, but the very essence of what Maxis aims to bring to the virtual life-scape. This vision, driven largely by the Animation Director, Nawwaf, seeks to provide players with an intuitive understanding of their Sims’ feelings and thoughts solely based on their behaviors. This immersion would be realized through a plethora of emotions, attitudes, and postures that seamlessly interact with in-game objects and social scenarios.
Technical Prototypes of The Sims 5
Diving deeper into this vision, the development team is exploring the concept of Sim Routines. These routines encompass a Sim’s daily life, both within their homes and out in the larger world, focusing on their interactions, movements, and overall approach to life. Such intricacies are said to be advancing swiftly, and eager fans can anticipate more detailed revelations in the near future.
In a broader sense, as highlighted by Manu, the Technical Director, the game undergoes a metamorphosis from its rudimentary state. The initial stages see the fusion of 3D models, animations, audio, and scripted behaviors, gradually birthing the sophisticated simulation that players will eventually immerse themselves in. This journey from conception to realization ensures that Sims navigate their world with depth, interacting with objects and satisfying their myriad needs. The palpable excitement from the team resonates with a single message: There’s much more to come, and it promises to be groundbreaking.

Well, hold onto your cowplants, because Maxis has decided to let us in on the Rene secret earlier than ever before. But – and it’s a tiny but – we’re gonna have to exercise those patience skills, as a full launch is still a few Sim years out. Pearson hints that this early tease is just the start of a thrilling multi-year journey. And let’s be honest: in a world where Maxis has always played the mysterious type, this early reveal? How do you spend all your rich Sims’ simoleons in The Sims 4 when you feel like you’ve already bought everything? We have some helpful tips on how to burn through simoleons so you don’t hit that dreaded max household fund limit as often.
Table of Contents
It’s not easy being this wealthy, you know!
You’ve read all the get rich quick guides. You hustled and grinded your way to unimaginable wealth. You bought a nice big mansion with a pool, home spa, personal home theatre, and underground bowling alley. You always buy the most expensive options when you go out. But your household funds perpetually stay at $9,999,999. All those simoleons rolling in on a regular basis from all that hard work? Disappearing into the ether. Never to be seen again. Gone to waste. What a tragedy!
How to Spend Your Rich Sims’ Money in The Sims 4
Invest in a vault. Or several.
Did you know the Get Famous expansion has a fancy vault that can actually store your extra simoleons for your rich Sims in The Sims 4? It’s true! Buy the self-contained vault unit (not the vault door) and your Sims will be able to fill it with all their excess simoleons. The vaults can actually hold more than $9,999,999 so you have plenty of storage for your money. Keeping money in a vault is a good way to make sure there’s always room in your household funds for more simoleons so your income doesn’t go to waste and disappear. It can also act as a personal bank account. Place a vault for each Sim in your household and you can keep their personal funds separate from each other; only the Sim who first closed and locked the vault can access it again.
Take advantage of vacations
Bored of the daily grind? Set some time out each year for your Sims to go on vacation! Even if you only own the base game, you can still place rental homes in any world. Stay in the biggest, most lavish home you can build or find in the Gallery and live it up for a whole week or two. The nicer the rental, the more expensive it is to rent per night. Your rich Sims in The Sims 4 can blow all that extra cash on a lavish holiday. Make sure to do all the most luxurious activities while you’re there, too.
Open a restaurant
Want to keep busy and lose a lot of money at the same time? Open your own restaurant! It may seem like a lucrative business venture at first but between the game-breaking bugs and how imbalanced the cost to profit ratio is, you’re pretty much guaranteed to lose simoleons every day. If you break even consistently, you’re doing great in the restaurant business!
Donate to charity
Sims with the Good trait and Sims who are celebrities with a good reputation have the option to donate simoleons to charitable organizations. Use the mailbox to give away large sums of money to those less fortunate every day to keep your household funds just empty enough to still rake in those earnings. Sometimes your Sims will also receive random phone calls asking for a sizable donation. Donating to charity increases your reputation, too. Alternatively, Sims with atrocious reputations can donate large sums of money to organizations that undermine and sabotage charities! This will, of course, decrease your reputation.
Burn money… literally!
Celebrity Sims have no shortage of ways they can quite literally waste money. Famous rich Sims in The Sims 4 can burn money in fireplaces and “make it rain” simoleons. Both of these actions will use up a chunk of the household funds so if you randomly feel like throwing away some money as a celebrity to alleviate the heavy burden of abundant wealth, toss some cash in the fireplace or just toss it onto the streets.
Ever felt like you’re just a few Sims 4 satisfaction points away from giving your Sim the dream life they deserve? We’ve all been there at some point, but guess what? There’s a world of possibilities, both natural and a tad magical, to supercharge your Sim’s journey to happiness. Dive in as we unravel the secrets to maximizing satisfaction in the Sims 4 universe!

3 Ways to Boost Sims 4 Satisfaction Points
In the vibrant world of Sims 4, every choice, every activity, and every aspiration contributes to your Sim’s overall well-being and happiness. But did you know there are organic paths, embedded within the very fabric of the game, that can lead your Sim to endless satisfaction?
1. Aspirations: Your Sim’s True Calling
Every Sim has aspirations – those big dreams and goals they’re itching to achieve. Whether it’s mastering Charisma, embracing their inner artist through Painting, or becoming an avid collector, there’s an aspiration tailor-made for your Sim. The beauty of the Sims 4 is that you can switch between aspirations anytime.
So, if your Sim’s been socially active, switching to a social aspiration might just tick off some requirements immediately. Completing these aspirations can net you a whopping 3,000 to 5,000 satisfaction points, setting your Sim on the path to those top-tier reward traits.
Want to know more about Sims 4 Aspirations? You’re in luck, check out our collection of Sims 4 Aspiration Guides!
2. Whims: The Little Joys of Sim Life
While aspirations are the big-picture goals, whims are those tiny, spontaneous desires your Sim experiences daily. Maybe it’s a craving to eat a pizza or a sudden urge to dance. While they’re switched off by default (some of them can be quite quirky!), you can re-enable them in the game options. Check out our guide on How to Enable/Disable Whims in the Sims 4!
Once active, these whims often align with your Sim’s ongoing activities, meaning you’re racking up points without even trying! Pro tip: Keep an eye on these whims. Some might align perfectly with your Sim’s current goals, and pinning them ensures they’re here to stay, helping you gain even more rewards.
3. Seasonal Delights: Celebrating in Sims Style
If you’ve got the Sims 4 Seasons, you’re in for a treat! The game offers unique holidays, each promising its own set of challenges and rewards. Participate in these in-game festivities or create your custom holidays for some added fun. It might not shower you with a ton of satisfaction points, but every bit counts!
PRO TIP: If your Sim happens to have a baby with Father Winter, that child gets an extra boost of satisfaction from whims. A snowy little secret for you!
First off, let’s clear the air. Using Sims 4 cheats isn’t about cutting corners; it’s about enhancing the story you’re living in the Sims universe. Even the developers encourage cheating in the Sims 4, so think of these cheats as the secret ingredients in a Simmer’s recipe book!
How to Use the Sims 4 Satisfaction Points Cheat?
Before we unlock the Sims 4 satisfaction points cheat, we need to open the door to the cheat realm, and here’s how:
For the PC Masters: Hit Ctrl+Shift+C
Mac Lovers: It’s Cmd+Shift+C for you!
PlayStation Pros: Simultaneously press R1, R2, L1, and L2
Xbox Fans: Grab and hold RB, RT, LB, and LT together
Once you’ve got that console window peeking, type “testingCheats true” to awaken the cheat spirits. And when it’s time to tuck them back in, a simple “false” or “off” will do the trick.
Pouring Satisfaction Into Your Sim’s Life
With the cheat portal active, it’s time to shower your Sim with some well-deserved happiness! Just punch in “x”, add your desired number, and watch your Sim’s joy meter soar! Dreaming of 7,000 points? Or maybe 20,000? The Sim world is your oyster!
As we mentioned, cheats are there to enhance the gameplay even further, so why not try all of them? We gathered a full Sims 4 Cheats Library, so you don’t have to. Check it out to level up your gameplay!
Wrapping Up the Quest for Sim Satisfaction
Whether you’re a cheat enthusiast or a traditionalist, the Sims 4 offers a plethora of ways to ensure your Sim lives their best life. Doesn’t matter if your Sim is chasing big dreams, relishing in everyday whims, celebrating seasonal joys, or skipping it completely with cheats. There’s always a path to happiness!
The journey is filled with dreams, whims, celebrations, and countless stories waiting to be written. So, immerse yourself in the world of Sims 4 and let your Sim’s satisfaction soar! Which way do you usually take for Satisfaction Points? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!

The Magic Behind The Mod

In the Sims 4, whenever a mod throws a tantrum, the game scribbles down its grievances in a document called lastException.txt. However, reading this document is like decoding an alien language. Enter the Better Exceptions Sims 4 mod. This mod takes that gibberish, translates it into human-speak, and points fingers at the culprits causing your game to have a meltdown.
This mod acts like a skilled translator, taking the text from lastException.txt, breaking it down into understandable language, and then, with the precision of a seasoned detective, identifying the mischievous mods causing your game to throw a fit. So, no more scratching your head over cryptic error messages, Better Exceptions Sims 4 mod is here to make sense of the chaos and guide you on how to fix the unruly mod mess!
Activating Your Mod Detective
Once you’re in your chosen household, the Better Exceptions Sims 4 mod springs into action, scrutinizing your mods with the intensity of a detective eyeing a line-up of suspects. It might ask for a few moments of your time, but patience is a virtue, right? And the reward is a goldmine of insights about which mods have been naughty.
When the scan is done, you’re greeted with an Exemption Alert notification. It’s like your game saying, “Alright, here’s the deal,” and then laying down the facts about what’s causing the ruckus in your mod folder! The mod will grant you with VIP access to detailed lists of all your tuning mods, script mods, invalid Custom Content (CC) files, junk files, and even those pesky duplicate mods that are lurking in the shadows.
What If The Game Won’t Load?

Now, what if an exception is so severe that you can’t even step into a household? Fear not, for the Better Exceptions Sims 4 mod has a solution! It’ll whisk you away to your browser, unveiling a detailed report of the miscreants causing the chaos, along with a full list of broken mods and files. It’s like having a dossier of all the suspects messing with your game, how cool is that?
The Better Exceptions Sims 4 mod lays out its confidence in the findings, and if it’s pegging the certainty between 90%-100%, it’s like having a bullseye in a game of darts. The rogue element is identified with high accuracy, and now it’s your cue to step in and restore order.
Getting Rid of The Bad Apples
the Better Exceptions Sims 4 mod plays the role of a sharp-eyed detective, spotting the miscreants in your game. However, when it comes to taking action, it hands over the reins to you. It’s like having a trusted advisor who can point out the troublemakers, but it’s up to you to decide what to do with them. Here’s a bit more on how to handle those unruly mods and CC files:
The Better Exceptions Sims 4 mod lays it all out on a platter, but you’ve got to do the cleaning up. It identifies the culprits, giving you a comprehensive list, but the task of deleting or replacing them is yours. It’s a straightforward process but one that requires your attention. Here are some tips to ensure you make the most out of this mod-sleuth:
Accuracy is Key: Better Exceptions usually hits the nail on the head when detecting issues. However, if the confidence percentage is a bit on the lower side, it’s wise to take a closer look and go through all the flagged files on the list, eliminating or replacing them as needed.
Whole Mod Eviction: If a mod has even a single faulty element, it’s a good practice to remove the entire mod. It’s like having a basket of apples with a few rotten ones, it’s better to get a fresh basket. If there’s an updated version available, bring that one in as a replacement to ensure smoother gameplay.
Duplicate Files Dilemma: If you come across duplicate files, a smart move would be to delete both and then re-install just one. It’s about keeping your mod house clean and clutter-free.
CC Cleanup: Custom Content (CC) can sometimes be the hidden gremlin causing trouble. If a piece of CC is flagged, it’s advisable to delete it or replace it with an updated version if available.
Still Facing Issues? Here’s The Drill
Sometimes, the issues could be originating from the core game itself, and no mod, not even the vigilant Better Exceptions, can point that out since its jurisdiction lies within the realm of mods.
Now, suppose you’ve followed Better Exception’s advice to the letter, evicted the unruly mods, welcomed in the updated versions, and you’re still facing issues. It’s time for some deeper investigation. The course of action? Strip the game down to its birthday suit – no mods, no CC, just the vanilla game. Launch it and observe. If the problems persist, then the culprit is the game itself, a bug buried deep within its code.
In such scenarios, you’ve done your part, and it’s up to the game developers to swoop in and fix the bugs in subsequent updates. However, till then, make sure you’ve cleaned the house thoroughly as advised by Better Exceptions, ensuring every mod, every piece of CC, and any duplicate or junk files listed are dealt with. It’s about ensuring you’ve left no stone unturned in your quest for a seamless Sims 4 experience.
How To Get The Better Exceptions Sims 4 Mod?
Excited to bring Better Exceptions Sims 4 mod on board? Making it part of your gaming toolkit is a breeze. Just hop over to TwistedMexi’s Patreon and hit download. Once you have the file, the journey to a smoother gaming experience is just a few simple steps away. Here’s how you do it:
Unzip the downloaded file, and you’ll find the golden ticket – the tmex-BetterExceptions.ts4script file.
Now, glide this file over to Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. It’s its new home.
Remember, don’t open the .ts4script file, it likes to stay zipped up.
Before you jump into the game, make a quick pit stop at the game settings to ensure script mods are enabled. It’s crucial for Better Exceptions and other mods to work their magic.
Now, hit the play button, and as you step into the Sims world, Better Exceptions is at the ready, keen to scan and sort out any mod conflicts that lurk around.
You can download the Better Exceptions Sims 4 mod on Curseforge for FREE!

This coffee table’s giving rich girl aesthetic…and even console players can make this! Whether you’re a fan of kits or not, it’s undeniable that the Modern Luxe Kit blew us all away with all its glitz and glamour. That’s because the items were curated by long-time Simmer and Youtuber Xurelia, and we love the modern woman vibe in this build-and-buy menu!
Table of Contents
How to Build the Glam Coffee Table?
While the kit is mainly comprised of bedroom items (due to the limited nature of Sims 4 kits), you can definitely make these items work in the living room as a glam-ified coffee table/sitting area with this 3-step tutorial!
This tutorial is the quickest and easiest one we have so far, and console players can easily follow these instructions! To ensure that this build hack will work smoothly, make sure that your bb.moveobjects cheat is turned on.
Step 1: It’s just a shelf
Start by grabbing the SoChic Wall Shelf and place it in your room. As much as possible, keep it away from walls to prevent it from clipping because we’re gonna do a lot of magic with just this single shelf.
Now size it up 1 time by clicking the ‘]’ key in your keyboard or RT + LT + right in your controller. Then you have to elevate it 1 time with Ctrl + 9 or RT + LT + up for console.
Step 2: Line ‘em up!
The next step is to do this 3 more times while rotating the shelf from the center. To rotate objects, hit ‘<‘ or ‘>’ in your keyboard or press LB or RB in your controller. You’ll see that you’re actually making an octagon frame for your coffee table.
Step 3: Coffee table
The last step is to add the actual table from Base Game which is the Fire’s First Love Coffee Table and look how perfectly it fits your octagonal frame! You can hold down Alt (or press LT in your controller) while grabbing your coffee table for precise placement. Then just add your clutter items on top of it.
Note: Be careful when you’re adding clutter since some items will clip to the sized-up shelves instead of the actual coffee table. You can add clutter items on your table first before placing the table in the middle of the shelves.
That’s basically it! This coffee table now matches the other gold-lined items from the kit in case you want to use them in other rooms of your house. Plus, you can play around with a whole lot of other swatches for different metal colors and textures.
This glam coffee table matches other metal-lined furniture from the Modern Luxe Kit.

Skills are at the heart of these adventures, helping your Sims navigate their world and achieve their dreams. While you can naturally enhance these skills, why wait? With cheats, you can supercharge your Sim’s abilities in no time.
Skills in Sims 4 aren’t just a fancy term. They’re categorized into Major, Minor, Child, and Toddler. While adults and teens can learn both Major and Minor skills, children and toddlers have their own sets of skills.
Major Skills, as you might guess, have ten levels, while Minor and Toddler skills mostly cap out at five. But don’t sweat the small stuff. With these cheats, you can max out any skill you want in seconds!
How to enable Sims 4 Cheats?
Before diving into the actual Sims 4 skill cheats, you need to ensure cheats are activated in your game. Here’s how to do that:
Open the cheat console: CTRL + SHIFT + C on PC or L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 on consoles.
Input testingcheats true to kickstart the cheat mode.
A lot of the cheat codes follow the format stats.set_skill_level (Skill Type)_(Skill Name) X – just replace X with your desired level. But just so you know, some codes are a bit different. Here’s a rundown of the core Sims 4 skills and their max-level cheat codes:

The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Makeover
Take a look at how we took this boring, dull Base Game kitchen in The Sims 4 and gave it a new lease of life in two different styles!
The Before
The Base Game Kitchen we will be making over
Dull, boring and not at all inspirational. Would you want to be cooking up a storm in this kitchen or having your breakthrough moment as a chef? We certainly wouldn’t want to! What harm could a dash of colour and some new appliances do after all?
Let’s get started with turning this Base Game Kitchen into the ultimate cooking space for our Sims. We paired the Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack with a few other packs to pull off the following designs.
Taste of Class
This drab, boring kitchen needed a taste of class and sophistication, in my opinion. I thought Get Together and Dine Out would be excellent packs to pair the Home Chef Hustle pack with so I used those two packs in my makeover. I’m a huge fan of the countertop appliances in Get Together and Dine Out has a lot of great kitchen clutter!
Ordinarily, I’m not into the super modern look but Home Chef Hustle does have some really nice counters with a waterfall edge and marbled countertops that I wanted to take advantage of. To bring a little bit of warmth and texture to what might otherwise be a very sterile, flat looking kitchen, I replaced the backsplash with wood paneling. Contrasting cream panels on the adjacent wall brighten up the space.
I also knocked out the peninsula island and replaced it with a circular island. This makes the room look bigger and gives it a sense of flow. You want to be able to walk around your kitchen with ease, not weave your way around long, cumbersome counters.
I turned that little nook in the wall into a coffee bar using the espresso machine and coffee grinder from Get Together! Hanging shelves above offer easy storage without making that wall look too closed in. And a chalkboard menu with vertical wood slats adds a bit of rustic charm. Again, I’m trying not to be so modern that this kitchen ends up looking cold and devoid of personality.
Although there’s some seating at the island, it’s not enough to accommodate a whole family so I dressed up the table area a little with a slightly taller bar height table and a large breakfast painting. A glass vase of flowers adds some texture to the space.
While the base game windows in this kitchen were nice for the previous style of kitchen, they looked a little outdated in a kitchen like this so I replaced it with a more modern looking window and an elegant rich brown drape curtain that’s pulled to the side enough to still allow some light to filter through.
The big bulky cabinets along both walls also had to go. I replaced them with Home Chef Hustle cabinets along one wall and open shelving on the other wall to bring some balance to the space. Of course, those basic appliances also got an upgrade. To finish off the new space, a circular ceiling light from Dine Out hangs over the island for a cozy yet contemporary decorative touch.
Cosy Kitchen Vibes
As soon as I saw the shell, I instantly had an idea in mind. With all the autumnal and spooky vibes at the moment, I wanted to makeover this Base Game Kitchen with that in mind. Imagine, you’re cooking your favourite cosy cookies and cakes or that heartwarming dinner in the cosiest kitchen you could imagine. Now, to turn that idea into reality in-game!
I started by completely removing everything that was in the original Kitchen. This was so that I could start experimenting with different objects and colours to find the perfect combinations. I took my time as I knew I could only use a few select packs for this Home Chef Hustle Makeover. Easier said than done I guess.
The start of Krista’s Home Chef Hustle Makeover.
Slowly but surely, it was starting to come together. I decided to go with Snowy Escape and Dream Home Decorator as the packs to use alongside the Base Game and Home Chef Hustle. Initially, I went with more of an all-green theme but swapped to using more neutral tones for the counters and cabinets while keeping the colour to the details within the kitchen.
Finally, the whole room came together and my interpretation of this Home Chef Hustle Makeover was complete! Honestly, I had a lot of fun too!
An Overview of Krista’s Cosy Kitchen Vibes Makeover
As a whole, I loved how this came together. The colours I chose worked together perfectly as did the packs I could use for this Home Chef Hustle Makeover. What surprised me was the wall covering that I chose. I wasn’t expecting the darker swatch to work so well and really bring the cosy vibe I had imagined together.
Despite the counters and wall cabinets being from two separate packs, I like how the combination worked together. The added ambient light from the wall cabinets gives it another level of cosiness too. I’d love to be able to have this kitchen myself and spend my evenings baking cookies during the Autumn weather!
Main Kitchen AreaFridge and Coffee Bar AreaDining AreaBreakfast Bar Situated alongside the Window
I did change the window to a bigger one as I liked how it let the sunlight through and how it worked with the curtains from Dream Home Decorator. Perfect for watching the world go by while eating breakfast!
The only thing I wasn’t able to achieve was making it super Spooky due to the number of packs I could use for this Home Chef Hustle makeover. The Sims 4 Spooky Stuff would have been perfect to add that Spooky Day feel with a Trick or Treat Bowl and Pumpkin Carving happening in the kitchen. Despite the limitations, I’m sure you could easily add these changes in-game. Either way, I love how this turned out overall and can’t wait for my Sims to cook up a storm in this kitchen!
